  1. hey, i have this problem ( and i know ALOT of people who have this problem), basically im driving my shee, and lets say im switching from 4th to 5th,i pull in the clutch(currently 4th gear), move the shifter up ( to fifth gear), let go of clutch, push the gas, and i find myself on neutral revving so bloody loud -.- i then have to then pull in the clutch again and push it back up so it hits in 5th and then it finally shifts into 5th. sometimes, after it randomly gos to neutral when i switch gears, even when i pull in the clutch and push it up again, it still does not get into gear i have to do it a second time. once today what even happened was i was in 4th or 5th gear ,i gased it for 1 second, then by itself (without even trying to change gear) it went in to neutral and revved loud.. and had to pull in clutch and move it up like before to get it in gear. is this a tranny problem? i need a new transmition is it? this happens like 3-4 times an hour
  2. lol. yeah im sure they dont ship international, plus, when i ordered my F7 pipe online for my blaster, not only did i pay $110 shipping, but the customs made me pay an extra $180... wtf? they sent me a note instead of a pipes to my house saying to come to the place then charged me $180 to collect the pipes -.- im not gonna order pipes from the internet again, no way.
  3. heya, i did a search and cannot find anything. as you know i have another post between pipes, ive narrowed myself down to the following things: - I will buy a set of pipes within 7 days from now. - If i find a set of Toomey T5s locally, i will buy them instantly. - if i dont i will go to the local store i know who has DMC 916s and DMC aliens. now, if i choose to go with the DMC's, now, as for the silencers, i personally prefer the looks of the alien (i dont care about sound), i find a 2in1 silencer to be somewhat ugly. and i do know that the alien silencers would fit the 916 pipes (from the info given on another post i found using "Search") . So, for the headpipes, which one has better mid-top end power, between alien and 916. thanks.
  4. im guessing he means 280 and 290 mains
  5. gah, just called the guy who has the pipes, and turns out he also has DMC aliens. for the same price as 916's. so i might go with aliens tbh
  6. funny, i always wondered, where i lvie we ONLY have 95 or 98 pump gas, and someone before also told me that the 98 octane here means less octane in the US, so i guess thats what you mean by saying "which is like your 93 in the US" right? cause i always was wondering why do we have 98 and 95 octane fuel and the US are stuck with like 85 88 and 93 octane. so i guess our 98 means their 93 yeah>?
  7. even if they are, its out of my choice, and no way would i pay what? 1000 dollars for the Paul turner pipes? no thanks
  8. carbs are synched.
  9. just went to the yamaha dealer, they told me they only had 4 stroke oil, it was yamalube SAE 20w-50. they told me it would work for my banshee.. so i bought 3 quarts (2 oil changes), gonna change the oil now hope it works well
  10. I already replaced my busted stock filter with another stock one i bought ages ago. i am gonna replace it again soon with a K&N 2in1 with no lid. LOL. when i was saying about going slow, i ddnt mean i would only drive my shee slow, and i was obviously never thinking NOT to change my main jet, ofcourse i will, thats just stupid to even think i wouldnt. i just wanted to know if i should change my pilot aswell, and wanted to understand how it works as my question states above. thank you that explains it all, thanks for actually answering my question
  11. wtf? yeah i know all of this. so tell me, in your tard terms, if pilot jet control ur idle screw 4 slo moving den why if i put new filter more air an it bekome slo moving den why no need to rejet da pilot ? dey say you must rejet when u put da mods on bike, so if i put da mods on bike and only go slow since da pilot control slow, and i only want to drive slow on ma new modz, then it az if i did not re jet ya? dat my point
  12. ill just go get some 10w-40 from yamaha showroom tomorow ( yamalube)
  13. yeah, so lets say at idle only. im getting my pipes + filter soon. im gonna go with a 270-300 main jet. if i keep my 25 pilot jet, and start it up, its going to run lean on idle... if i dont change the pilot, which means if i keep my pilot at 25, it will take the same amount of gas, but just about 2-3 times more air from the K&N filter and removed lid. im just wondering how many people have also filter + pipes etc, and still keep the 25 pilot jet and it idles fine. its what i dont get from what i know its a must to change the pilot, so when you start it up on idle, it has more gas than it had stock with the foam airbox with the lid, now that i got a high flow airfilter and no lid, keeping a 25 pilot means its running very lean when it idles.
  14. Well, i used to think, when you rejet the main jet, its just tells the carb to take more fuel overall, depending how big, the more fuel it takes overall. lately i found out more about carbs and that the main jet only works at 3/4 to full throttle. i find that funny because, alot of people, get lets say pipes + K&N pods etc, and lets say put 320 mains and still keep 25 pilots and say it runs perfect. so basically its just like keeping stock mains or even lets say size 150 mains and 25 pilots., if you ONLY ride it to not more than 1/4 throttle? correct? the way the post about carbs & jetting explains it, thats how it should be. meaning if you re jet to only higher mains and keep the stock pilots, and just fire it up, it still uses the same amount of gas as if you had 100 mains and 25 pilots, since they say from idle to 1/4 throttle comes from the pilot jet. but gets about 3 times more air with the Pod filters... (on idle) knowing that the main jet ONLY comes to play from 3/4- full throttle. meaining changing the main jet does not make a difference for idle or 1/4 throttle how does that work?
  15. if right now i could get any of them i would go with the T5's, since everyone is claiming that they have decent bottom end power. if i cant find T5s ( wherever i go they are out of stock), ill go with the 916s
  16. haha... yeah, we have too much gas. in saudi arabia its even cheaper than here in bahrain. its about $0.60 per gallon versus the $1.00 we pay for the same octane ( 98 octane).
  17. oil as in gas, i get my 98 octane fuel for exactly $1 per gallon. we have local oils only, random arab ones. not american Belray gearsaver kinds, or Klotz (sounds german to me) or castrol etc. we have LOCAL brands.
  18. good move true that
  19. ok cool thanks, now that i know it works fine for you ill use that too that was my question if i could use 10w-40 4 stroke. cause thats what they use when they serviced my blaster and banshee.
  20. we dont have US brands in the middle east / in the gulf
  21. heya. just a quick thing to ask about air screws, i have played with them before on my blaster, i left it on 1.75 turns out, but not because i knew it was good. over here everybody says that "play with the air screw till it idles the highest", highest means what exactly? cause when i last messed with it in my blaster, there was no highest or lowest, it had just a slightly different noise. oh also, how the hell am i going to adujust the airscrew with the right side carb? there are so many things in the way and the screw's angle is imposible to get to, even with a long, thin, flathead screwdriver i bought especially cause i thought it would work, when you guys change the airscrew on the right side carb, how the hell do you do it, or do you just take it off the motor, and then change it?
  22. so would an SAE90 oil be good? or is it only SAE 80 or SAE 85. but my main question was, if i cant find SAE 10w-30 or the SAE 80 etc, would things like SAE 10w-40 work?
  23. i also dont know much about how the expansion chambers work, i THINK, the shorter the expansion chamber, the more bottom end, and the bigger it is, the more top end. for example, the CPI pipes, they have very big and FAT expansion chambers, thus they give alot of top end power, and then you have the PT mids or Pro circuits or even T6's, with small curved expansion chambers, which give more bottom end. this is most probably incorrect info though
  24. i was reffering to fatty's, if someone like you has the same case but with fatty's, pelase correct me if im wrong so i can withdraw what i said. im saying this because, when i was looking for pipes locally to buy, i used to think FMF fatty's were good, and asked if they had them, i went to 6 shops yesterday... and 5 of them all told me they dont keep FMF cause they are really bad and customers did not like them, and 1 said that he has them but out of stock. so thats where i got my info from, and i read it alot too, that FMF arent bad, so from that small criteria, and my knowledge, about how shit my FMF fattys on the blaster were, i am assuming that the FMF fattys on the banshee are also bad. if someone has had fattys and some sheaer/toomey/cpi/ PC pipes, and found the fattys were better, please correct me.
  25. they kick ass eh? notice i just said its WHAT THEY SAY locally. i also mentioned it was only my personal opinion. when you switch your pipes, talk to me and let me know, id like to see one person who switched from fmf to another decent kind of pipe like toomeys, CPI, shearer, pro circuit etc regret it. everyone also on this forum who switched from fmf to something else were happy about the change. plus, you would only know if it KICKS ASS, if you got the FMF's on the shee and no other mods, which i doubt you did, alot of people install alot of mods, and some FMF's along with it and say "oooh its amazing, it kicks ass" and the only thing that kicks ass is the other mods they got, and not the pipes that are making the difference. i may also be completely wrong, its just what EVERYone says locally, and i myself have tried switching from FMF on a blaster to F7 pipes, and felt a huge difference, so that and that everyone here says there bad makes me almost certain of that. If you ever switch, and find the new pipes worse, please let me know. and to the person who made this post, let us know the difference with your new CPI's. (oh any btw, i am mainly reffering to the FMF fattys here, all the talk here etc about the fatty's, nobody has tried the gnarlys or SST's) so really cant judge for those ones
