rather not, my parents will pay for my education, and give me a decent monthly allowance, and buy me a car, unless i end up somewhere really crowded like New York. but im thinking of maybe also buying a shee. what i could do is ask my parents to lend me 2k$, and pay them back after i sell it just before i go to uni. but where to ride would be a problem in the US, here i ride my blaster in "inside roads" not really roads, but cars go on it and there are almost no cops, and there are many like sand pits just when i leave my house, its like a trail, but all sand, and my friend just bought a 150cc 4 poke dinli automatic atv ( lol, i told him to go buy mine but he wanted an auto, and new) and he ddnt listen to me that he would outgrow an automatic. but anyway, im bored of my blaster shitless, really, its bloody slow, i feel at some points im going about 30 mph, and im running on somewhat high rpms on 6th gear.. i need a shee..

its got the F7 pipe silencer, V force 3 reeds, jetted, which vents on the air box, and removed the snorkel of course. new blasters here go for about $3,700. i paid hell lot for the mods, about $700 including shipping, that goes to $4,400, blaster was bought in early 2008, looks mint, runs mint, why wouldnt it sell for $2,500? its just abit more than half... and they sell 2009 shees where i live, i think they get them from canada or europe, no clue.

easy, overall, 1 is worst, 2 is middle and 3 is the best, for overall power... chart one max rpm was at only 50 HP chart 2, max was like 60 and it chart 3 it hit about 65 hp chart 1 = 1 chart 2=2 chart 3=3 im almost certain

i would take it for 3500 if i was in the states... i wish i was :S where i live stock shees 2002 sell for 3300..

NOTE: dont be astonished by all the prices mentioned, where i live in my area this is how the quads are priced and sold at. heya, i current have a blaster, and i put it up for sale locally, with a few add's. its in mint condition and has a couple of mods, so im selling it for $2500. lets say i sell it for that much and get the 2500, now i currently have saved $1600, so that makes $4,100. i found a couple of adds, for people selling shees, i went to one and did not like it, and im going to another one in 2 days, he has 3 shees, 2 are stock, both 2005 model, and he wants $3300 for it, he claims they are in somewhat decent condition. now, lets say they are running okay, and i see they are pretty good, should i buy it for $3,300? but then im sure it will need a rebuild on top and bottom end, and it might get problems etc. and where i live ( in the middle east) there are not many quad parts sold, and i personally cannot for sure rebuild the bottom end, and dont think the top end either, so "rebuilding" will be hard. now, heres the catch, whatever i do, i will have to sell the quad after 1 and a half years, when i go to university in the US. so should i just borrow $2000 more and just buy a new one... and have to pay it off? ok thats my situation, so my main questions are: -if i go and buy a new shee, for one and a half years, can i just do nothing but change spark plugs and oil, and clean air filters? and all the other small things like lubing chain and WD-40'ing bolts? and maybe once in the middle of the 1 and a half years take it for a full proper service at yamaha? -if i buy a used shee, it will really need a rebuild.. or wont it? how much will a top and bottom end rebuild cost? and maybe new water coolant since its liquid cooled? and can the yamaha service center do like bottom end rebuilds? - shall i go for the new or used? ;p

funny, i currently have a blaster, and am going to get a shee soon, ive driven a stock one before, and found that it has way too much acceleration and too low top speed, and it was rather easy to start in second gear, i was thinking if i modded it, and putting some V-force 3 reeds, which gives it alot of "pull power" i would make the front sprocket bigger, and still start in 2nd . i really think shees need bigger front, i would put like + 2 more teeth in the front, but then it would start to get hard starting in 2nd, which is only bad for races, i have no problem starting in first when not racing, then i would definitely go bigger front sprockets.

Hey all, im soon going to buy a banshee, i prefer to buy a used one, i have a few peoples numbers who are selling their banshees, ( i currently have a blaster). I went today to see one of the shees, it was bone stock, i have never driven a shee before so its the first shee i have driven, but i have some questions. when i was riding it, the drive felt abit weird, the accelerating and everything, although it looked somewhat decent, and he said he rarely used it etc, and many times when i was about to go from 1st gear, when i was letting go of the clutch ( i already was moving) it would sort of turn off if i wasnt giving it at least 1/4 throttle... but after 1st gear, it seemed pretty much decent, so im thinking it has something to do with one of the cylinders or carbs not really synchronized etc, i really cant tell if its just me, or if there is something bad in the bike, i am going to look at more shees hopefully, but i cant really tell if they are running good or not.. i need some help on what are the things i need to test and to make sure the engine is running well. the bad thing IMO about the banshee is that its got 2 cylinders, which makes problems occcur very easily, anything not identical might make things go wrong. which makes me think, why is everybody only selling shees? oh and, a question that i have always been wondering about, is long ago, my friend was taking out his shee, which he hadnt driven in about a week, ( which means the bowls arent really full of gas anymore), so he put the choke on only ONE of the carbs, gave it 3 kicks, and it fired up, both cylinders obviously, if he only put the choke on one of the carbs, only that carb's bowl fill get filled up with gas quicker, how is it that both of the cylinders start up perfectly?, if he only put the choke on 1 of the cylinders?

heya, im about to buy a banshee from a guy here. and he said if i buy it for the stock price, he will give me brand new set of toomey T5s. and maybe K&N filters. now, ive got a couple of questions. lets say i got only the pipes, i would then remove the air box lid anyway, so thats increasing the air flow, and then i got the pipes installed, what main jet should i jump up to? and should i change any other jets? Now, 1 thing i should let you people know, i currently have a yamaha blaster, when i had it stock, i did a plug check, and it was running rich on the stock everything and stock 230 main jet ofcourse, it was running pretty rich, all black the plug was, this is porbably because im at sea level, and its somewhat hot here, its only about 65 degrees F at winter... and way hotter in summer. so when i got my mods for the blaster, which is pipe, reeds, and i put some holes in the air box ( not removed), i moved from the stock 230, to a 250 main jet, my plug checks golden now, it runs decent, but im having some problems at 1/4 throttle, when i rev it from idle - 1/4 throttle, i feel a werid noise... cant explain, and when it reaches half way to full, it sounds perfect... now, im not sure what i have to change but anyway. So im assuming the stock shee is also going to have black plugs already, so when i put the pipes, and remove the airbox lid, what jet should i use? and what other air screw or whatever pilot etc jets must i change to remove this low end "weird power" problem that i have on my blaster? Oh and last question, the stock main jet of a shee is a 230 or 240?
