heya, i went to a shop close by who sells aftermarket banshee parts, he had a set of pro circuits and a set of "DMC's" thats all he told me, it had that 2 in 1 silencer which go's like under the rear grab bar. are those DMC 916's? or not neccesarily?

lol. how i wish i was in the US. well, not long, after a year and a half ill be coming to the U.S to study in university, my plans are to get a nice used shee, and a used pickup, from ebay motors, the cheapest place to buy quads lol. i always go on ebay motors and check out the banshees for $1k and $2k, i coulda bought 2 of them instead of this 06 shee.

yeah hehe, check this post on saturday morning, by then i woulda had my new filter + 30:1 premix in. the only thing i did when i got the bike was change the plugs, so no its not the plugs problem whoever mentioned that btw. i also hope that i can get a screwdriver to open those damn carbs, that and getting it back into the airbox, is why i really hate dealing with carbs.
-
exactly. guys, bhq, im really sorry to annoy etc, i hope you could just understand i spent almost every last dollar i had, in something i really wanted, it was the best in what i could find, and its problem i thought would go from removing the TORS. its why im abit angry and ignorant. today i only have my hands, no filter,i could clean the carbs, but this is what i planned: my fuel is almost out, so tomorow ill buy alot of 2 stroke yamalube motor oil, and mix 30:1, and fill it up. ill also buy a new stock air filter, and put it on. after that i will fire it up and see if the problem is there. if it is, im pulling the carbs out, opening the (i dont know the word for this part, the bottom of the carb where the floats + main jets are), and remove the pilot, make sure its clean etc, and re close it. ill do that to both carbs, and at the same time look at the intakes, to see if there is any cuts from a possible air leak. i will then try and see if the bottom part of the needle is bent by pushing on the throttle etc. ill take a look at the reeds aswell. i just hope it will be easy putting it back in that annoying air box, the last time i took my carb out it was hell to put back in lol. is what i mentioned enough good guys? thanks and sorry for the stupidity. right now, im gonna check both crossover tubes, the one on the intake, and the one between the carbs

lol, i said countless times im gonna get a new stock filter tomorow on saturday morning, which is Friday night in the US , i just said if its not the filter etc lol. sorry for being like that, and yeah, talking about servicing, its the last thing ill do but ill do it if i must, the last time i sent my blaster, to clean the carb they charged $80 for the carb cleaning, so for the shee its gonna be like $160 lol. IF the filter THAT i WILL buy does not work, i will take out the pilots, clean, and put them back in, its all i can think of. i just hope its not a problem with the needle, thats really hard to put on myself, so thats when ill have to give it to yamaha to do for me

lol, im not fucking with any of you, you guys dont seem to understand. if the bike is lean, its lean,. it runs lean all over. like i said, many times the bike idles fine, and at some random points at complete randomness it takes in more air, when i ride it, it happens too, mostly at low throttle, its as if it runs off, but the engine becomes super lean and it barely pulls, then after 2 sec it pulls normal and runs at perfect jetting. nobody or a few people are understanding exactly whats happening. i told the guy i bought it from, and he said maybe its somethign to do with the needle. tomorow i will go and buy a new stock airfilter from the dealer, and i hope the problem wont be there. true that my air filter is open etc, ok and i shouldnt ride it, but my plugs are golden, i just checked them. they are golden cause most of the time its running on perfect jetting and i can feel it SOMETIMES at random, because of a special problem X, it randomly takes in more air than it should and sounds very throaty and you can tell 100% that its extra air coming. think of it like this: your running a stock bike 100% with 200 mains, golden plugs all the time. when you are at low throttle, or idling, sometimes at random a ghost takes your lid, and filter off, and then once you try to rev, 1 or 2 secs later that ghost puts the lid and filter back on. understand what i mean? it runs great, rode it for ages yesterday, it smoked from the small amounts of time it got leaned out for 2 secs every like 20 secs. it occurs mostly at idle to like uhm id guess 1.5k rpm or 1/4 throttle. where the random massive airflow occurs and im getting too much air, then it runs good again. If its not maybe its the problem of the air filter, we will find out tomorow,if its not the filter, maybe there is some dirt blocking up the pilot jet, since its at low rpms/ low throttle. i appreciate all of your help guys, thanks a million

thanks, well anyway, i was examining it more closely, and also noticed, that the guy i bought it from, tryed to remove the pipes as he was going to install the T-5s i told you he had which was new, and then he put it up for sale, the pipe supporter ( the top one) there is no like support on it, here is a video to show you what i mean, i show you the right pipe ( the messed up one with no support) the nthe left pipe which has the support, notice the right one isnt even aligned with the support, i then looked where it hooks on to the cylinder, and part of it is bending outward but it still looks like its connected properly, and i checked and saw no leaks, although maybe that has something to do? http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x182/bl...urrent=Vide.flv ------------------------------------------------------------------------ also i just noticed i linked the wrong video in my post about the deep noise in the running engine, here is the proper link, and for some reason i can only edit the last post i posted.. which is annoying but anyway.. like i said, notice just before you hear it rev loud, that deep noise is me trying to rev it, and 2 seconds later you hear the loud rev. thats exactly what happens, but not always, sometimes it idles loud, but in the begining, you hear it starting to get low ( by random), then i rev it like 2 times ( you hear the air-throaty noise) then the third and fourth rev you hear it loud and clear like it should be. clip is 56 sec long, the sound happens exactly after 6 seconds ( timer will show 50 sec left, listen very carefully) http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x182/bl...nt=Video003.flv ignore it later in the vid cause the air noise ddnt come, it only came in the first part. -------------------------------------
-
lol? this is a joke post? i bought mine 2 days ago, it was stock, for 3700, and in shit condition.... if you dont buy it i will
-
that could be the problem, as i said, it runs lean like 5% of the time and perfect 95% of the time, on and off, mostly at low revs and low throttle it occurs most of the time, and at idle it occurs, but not always, i dont think it ever occured at high speed acceleration, never. so if i had to guess, its not the filter, but its maybe the pilot jet?, so by cleaning the carb, i just clean by where the main/ pilot jet and bowls are? right? like i said, the old spark plugs were pitch black. gonna check my new plugs very soon.
-
i cant clean the carbs myself, im no mechanic, i replaced the spark plugs before i rode it and it smoked etc, so yeah, ill take them out and take a pic tomorow, im very tired and sleepy and angry now i cant do anything atm. although when i replaced the spark plugs, the old ones were pitch black, all over, but i ddnt chop it to see the bottom part of it. like i said, whatever the problem is, it isnt constant, it comes and go's the massive air flow. ill just send it to yamaha service for a carb cleaning as for the compression test, i ordered a comp tester some time ago, it should be getting to me within 1 week, (i dont live in the US, so it takes time to get here).

Do these oils work for a banshee?
blaster2006 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
guys, i dont live in the US . thats the problem, we dont have walmart here, so your saying a normal SAE 10W-30 synthetic wont work?... at the yamaha shop all they have is a yamalube 10W- 40. they dont got 10W-30. -
omg i really am starting to think i burned the engine.. im gonna cry if so, it was so fun when i was riding it, i love it.. guys.. this cant happen to me. lemme explain abit, when it was smoking, i left it for 3 min, the smoke stopped, i turned it on and then was riding it for 30 mins ish no problems, please tell me it means thats fine please? ;p lets say there is "minor damage" or something to it, when running lean like that and smoking the engine, what do i need to change? a new cylinder bore + piston/ rings etc?
-
so thats what it was... omg.. seriously. the banshee woulda beeen mintttttttttttt if i fixed it before. i ddnt know :S i hope to god that that smoke i saw before wasnt too bad, well, i left it for 2 hours ish, and it started up, but it needed half choke though, it wouldnt start with normal kicks no choke, which is weird :S it was still abit warm on the engine... i will really get angry if it burnt, i payed almost every single $ i had left, $3,700 for that stock shee. meh. guys how can i fix this. please help here. can i just put tape around the diameter of it? or maybe on top of the slit it has?
-
waiiit.. hold up, i just took a closer look at it, is it me, (sorry im new to shees) or the air filter should not have a screw to hold it in place? i just pulled the whole filter out? this might be a stupid question, cause my blaster used to have a bolt that holds the filter in place... maybe thats the problem?? oh and can i just put tape on the filter? or maybe super glue?
-
i honestly don't think its the air filter, cause, ok its torn, but it gets constant air, and there is a lid on it ofc. like i said, most of the time it runs fine, at some points it takes too much air... the times when it sounds like its gonna turn off, then i rev it, for 2 sec it still takes alot of air, then it stops, and revvs fine, something is making it go on and off. and i dunno what it is... smoked my engine .. really pissed.. it still runs but yeah i just bought it fucking yesterday seriously that's annoying. im thinking maybe i should tape up that slit?
-
heya, yeah you all know my problem ive had. about the "revving" where it like turns off at low RPMS and such, they all said remove the tors, i just did but same problem but guess what, i finally found out exactly when it happens and what its from. but i dont know how to fix it though: here this is exactly what the problem is: first i would like to start off by saying, its not only on low rpms etc, it happens alot, but at random. The problem is an air leak of some kind, let me explain how i found out, if i leave it alone to idle without revving it, it sounds as if its gonna turn off, but it does not, so when that sounds like its gonna turn off, i rev it to give it gas, but, when im revving it when its about to turn off, it comes like a throooaty, im sure its too much air, its the sound of air coming in too much, as if there was an air leak, so i rev it i hear the throaty noise, for about 2 seconds eveb whislt im trying to keep it alive, the throttle makes a massive air noise for 2 seconds then revs at the higher normal sound, thats exactly what makes it slightly" turn off" when im riding it, but then when i push the accelerator it like pulls and revs at normal pace and everythings normal. and today when i was riding it, at one pointi turned it off, got off, and saw smoke by the fucking engine, and now i know it was cause of the massive air its too lean and overheating and im realllllllly pisssed off as bloody hell from that shit, and i hope i ddnt burn the engine, it starts up okay now though, so no major damage. ok, now im going to post some pics, of what im thinking is the air leak, because i checked manifolds and they seem fine, and im going to post a vid, here they are below: ----------------- ok here is one possibilty, the air filter, the sponge is cut in half, and i can see the plastic cage of the filter wide open. ---------------- This is a pic of the right carb on its right side, there are many holes without any screws or jets etc, never seen a carb like this before? ---------------- Here is a pic of the left carb on its left side, over here there is an empty hole, which seems weird, should be a jet or something... ------------ OK here is the vid, where the problem is most noticeable with my shitty mobile sound recorder, is in the very begining, when its idling and i revv it, dont watch the rest, cause somehow the problem ddnt come ( it comes and go's randomly), so the first part, listen carefully about 2 seconds before you hear the rev , cause thats when im revving it, you can hear the air-throaty thick noise, THATS my big ass problem, after 2 seconds of that deep noise it revved normally like it should, i get that same problem when i ride, its as if it turns off, no power! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x182/bl...06/Image016.jpg

blaster2006 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the recommended oil for my blaster was SAE10W-30, from the manual, so i thought this was the recommened too for the banshee hehe... since its 2 stroke. so, what is the exact recommended oil use for the banshee? and i fill it up to 1500 ml? or did someone who said 1500 here mean halfway up to it? -

blaster2006 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
ddnt know banshees have wet multipplate clutch? the premix has no reccomendation, it says for oil injection or premix, i want to know if i use this, then buy some other yamalube etc like 2T, but still yamalube and 2 stroke motor oil, if it wont be a problem, i dont think i can find the same exact kind as that oil.. thats why :S -
heya, well, i got 2 oils here, and 2 questions, i need to know if these ones work for a banshee, i bought it used from a guy who was premixing 20:1, i wanna move up to 30:1 or 32:1, so first question: can i use this oil at 30:1 or 32:1? cause i know there is many kinds, like" T and 2T etc etc, whats the diff between them? i bought only 1 bottle, and they are out of stock from the local shop i bought em from, so what to do now? here is the 2 stroke motor oil: now for this, tranny oil its SAE 10W-30, synthetic, is this for a banshee ( i used to have it for my blaster), if so, how much ml is recommeded to put in?
-
IS this the TORS thing(tilt your head to the right 90 degrees)? i follwed it and it attaches to the like back side of the TORS theres a same thing like that exactly for the other carb, so i unplug both of those correct?
-
the parking brake was already removed when i bought it, im guessing he removed the tors also but ill check, i still dont understand by words where this little black box is, and how do i disconnect it properly, can someone show me q quick vid lol please?
-
heya, me again, well yeah, so i got the 06 shee i was talking about, the yellow SE one, like i said it runs all great other than the small problem i have which if you can please if you got any suggestions to help me, heres the link of the problem i got http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=106779 (i will post a vid up of the problem in it soon, if that will help). but what i got now is a vid of it just idling... i know you may not like it, but hey, lol.. just got it. but its late night where i am, gonna sleep and ride it all day tomorow. its a completely stock engine. heres the vid http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x182/bl...nt=Video002.flv

BANSHEE problem, what jet is wrong?
blaster2006 replied to blaster2006's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
i know that connected to the tors, there is like a fat wire connected, with im guessing about 3 wires in it, connected to the tors on my old blaster, i just cut all of those wires off your telling me?, i thought those wires had to do with ignition etc..., so for the banshee i cut them from both the carbs off? and no i ddnt get the reeds or pipe, bought it stock, with rear tires spacers ( need to remove, so it fits in my garage.. grr... need to buy the stock bolts too... cause the bolts on are longer to fit the spacers) and it has maxxis tires and unknwn brand nerfs. i ddnt buy the aftermarkets mainly cause he wanted as much as he paid for them since they are "brand new". -
BANSHEE problem, what jet is wrong?
blaster2006 replied to blaster2006's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
ok, i told the guy to come over, hes on his way. so i bought it for $3,700, im gonna need you guys, to help me remove that damn tors and get ride of the problem, and lol, he told me he is mixing at 20:1 ratio, how can i safely change it to 32:1? i just add 32:1 premix to it and im fine from there? thanks....
