imho all 2 stroke pipes are loud enough. and i have to agree with bansheeandrider loud pipes will lead to areas getting shut down. and some areas even have noise db restrictions. might want to reconsider this loud ass pipe idea. just my 2 cents do what you want.

all the bearings also looked nice and clean and spun freely. very clean engine inside except the few smal peices of metal we foud from teh piston other then that very clean. time to get this bad boy rolling.

your talking about the bearing that on top of the rod correct not thebottom attached to the crank. if so then all the needles were intact.

we looked at the crank and rods. they appear to be good. and it rotates with no dragging or grinding sounds. looks like he shut it down before complete failure of anything else. also he is buy a modquad head from trademark so its just going to be a desk orniment. should we split the cases just to be on the safe side. doesnt look like any pieces of the pistion came off just looks banged up like something got inside the engine. all the rings were intact. also we were told this was a hotrod crank and rods anyway to tell without taking them out. thanks for teh heads up on the rod and crank bearings.

well it defiantly got hot the wristpinn bearing was toast and was a bitch to get out. ther other side was simple to get out.

no air leak the shop did an leak down test. the shop did clean and rejet his carbs and they put 350 mains in there for him. so were not excatly sure what happen. were gonna get jeff to look at the jugs and see if he can clean the port up if it needs it and bore it out. and gt this thing back running.

Well got to do some wrenching tonight had a awsome time. so Antwon came over and we got to talking and tear down his engine. said he had 130psi in one cylinder and 30 in the other. so here are some pics of what we found. think were gonna send teh jugs to Jeff and get him to fix them up. Antwon said they were ported tell me what you guys think. port job bottom side pics are kida crappy. but let me know what you guys think. the initals on the side of the cylinders are BL.

just like bansheandriders said there is no way to actuallly set the timing unless you use a timing plate and even then it doesnt matter where the piston is. it doesnt matter how or where the piston is when you put it back together either. the spark plugs are always sparking wether the piston is up or down. make sure your carbs are cleaned and are in sync. and test for air leaks.

not excatly sure when you are wanting to do ths but you say a couple of months and i see 2 months from now. its going to be extreamly hot its already in the high 80s out there. i would suggest going at the beginning of the season around october time frame. just my 2 cents.
