  2. it has a aftermarket plate on it that can be advanced all the way to +10 it was on +2 when i took it off. looking for a flywheel know. thanks for the help
  3. dang and i just spent 160 bicks on a new stator. and 100 bucks on a coil 30 dollars for a cdi. guess i am off to ebay to find a flywheel. thanks. jason
  4. i am looking to trade a brand new xbox360 that was our spare. for someone to come and help me get this banshee running . i will buy the parts that is needed to get her running. i am located in san diego.
  5. ok i pulled my flywheel off to change out the stator and just for giggles i shook it and there is something inside like its broken shakeing around. is my flywheel bad. could this be another reason why i am getting no spark. t hanks

  8. i am not quit sure what size carbs i have my on shee. i know that it has a bunch of aftermarket parts on it. it has a cool head on it k&n pods on it i do know that there mikiuni carbs but how do i tell if there stock or aftermarket and what size. thanks
  9. did that include sand basting the frame and a arms and swing arm. i was thing of just doing a simple black to. my bike is blue and white maybe the black would look ok.

    looking for a stator with pick up coil for a 93 banshee. any years will work from what i was told. needs to be in working conditions. send me what you have with pics and price i will pay asap. thanks
  11. here are some pics i took of a part of the wiring harness and i can figure out what these yellow wires go to maybe someone knows. there are 2 of them and you can see in the pic. i might just buy a whole new harness and be done with this wiring issue. are the harnesses interchangeable with years.
  12. i am looking to powdercoat my frame and arms hubs etc. anything else i should have powdercoated. so what would a powdercoater charge to strip down and powdercoat just a general figure so i am not getting ripped off. also i am located in san diego if anyone knows of a good one or a cheap one. thanks for any info.
  13. i want to make sure i am testing them right. do i put the test lead in each boot to test. or do i put 1 lead in the cap and one on the frame. same as for the coil. i have read the banshee electrical faq and i don't understand it. i also want to test the harness like it says in the faq do i just unplug the each connector and put a test lead on one color and the other lead on the same color of the orther peice. thanks for any help. a picture would probly help a lot on how to test. thanks.
  14. i was given a banshee last night that doesn't run. he said all it heeded was a coil or cdi box. well i replaced the coil today because that was the cheapest prt cdiifyone has them instock which i doubt. anyway he knew nothing about the bike as it was his brothers that pass away. all i know is that it has cool heads on it t5 pips its been jetted and has a few billet peices on it. do you think the engine has been bored out and what do i need to find out. i am also assuming the carbs are stock not sure how to find out. i just want to get this thing running first.
  15. when i touch the black and red leads together in the ohms postion on teh fluke its reads 0.2
  16. i must be testing these caps wrong or something cause i bought brand new ones today and there testing at 15 ohms. i am electrical dumb i want to make sure i am measuringt his right. i have the multimeter on the upside down u and i just test using the leads to what ever wire i need to test right. the wiring is not messed up the guy i got it from was just pulling stuff out to test just like me. and he got frustrated with it and gave it t me to deal with but i just want to make sure i am doing everything right. brand new coil with new caps. my next thing after the holidays in the stator i guess. i was told it was only a couple months old. then i will try a cdi box. do you guys know if these parts are interchangable through the years cause i might just buy off ebay to make things cheaper. also what size wheel puller do i need for ths flywheel. my pick up coil is in tolerance. also i fi buy a whole wireing harness off ebay for a different year will it work on mine. because i have a found a few that included the cdi box for cheap. so were to next the stator or the cdi box.

Good evening guys and gals i am new to the forum. i have a 1993 bansee has t5 on it k&n filters. and it seems like it has stock carbs and it has cool heads and i think the guy said it was ported. i have never owned a banshee before but i have owned 2 stroke dirt bikes. i was given this bike because the guy got frustrated with it he replaced the stator. my problem is that i have no spark to the plugs. i have done some ohm testings and i want you guys to tell me what you think. the T.O.R.S has been removed from the looks. and the key switch is disconnected. 1. ignition coil on the stator tested at 10.6 ohms 2. the pick up coil tested at 99.2 ohms 3. the lighting coil on the stator tested at 000.2 4. the coil itself tested at .6 ohms 5. spark plug caps tested at 24.5 on 1 capand 14.8 on the cap. 6. handlebar kill switch tested good at .6 ohms in the off and infinite when on now were should i start. i was thinking the coil and the stator need to be replaced. i was told there is no way to test the cdi box unless i tested it with a known good one. can i get a flywheel puller for cheap or rent one to pull the stator. this bikes electrical system is a mess when i pulled the plastics. thanks for any help. and the forum is full of info. thanks
