  1. the red and blue sux it looks like something honda would do. and the black and red is too plain. but the budwieser banshee is awesome just throw some polished rims pipes and make the silencers look like a really big can of bud and your on to something. lol
  2. here is what i did and it is really simple and it looks pretty good. i went to lowes and got 2 3" bolts and 2 nuts with the same thread as the nuts in the vapor. then i drilled 2 holes in the crossbar of my handle bars spaced centered and spaced to match the vapor and at an angle that would be easy to see.then i stuck the bolts through the holes threaded the nut most of the way down and then also threaded the bolt into the vapor. i tightened them down into the vapor and then used the nuts to tighten the bolts to the bars. next i put the pad on around the bolts and made a small slice in the cover for the bolts. it looks pretty good. its very functional b/c it can be seen easily and it was really simple to do. the only downfall is that i weakened the crossbar. but i think ill be ok b/c i dont jump or put any kind of added load on the bars
  3. nice ride im lucky if i get to ride 160 miles a month
  4. quickquestion is there anything out there that i can coat my shit so the shine lasts for more than 1 ride and wash
  5. make sure to put vasaline or grease on the o rings or they willl not stay i place and twist when ur tightening them down. i kno from experience lol
  6. the coolant only circulates through the jugs and not any further into the motor ? the base gasket only seals the the bottom end from air leaks not coolant from the cylinders. thanks for the input
  7. ok i got a coolant leak in my motor but not sure if its bad o rings for my coolhead or if its a bad base gasket. im getting a lil antifreeze out the exhaust and bubbles in the overflow jug and i can hear it gurgling after i turn it off. and there is no antifreeze in the tranny. i think its the orings b/c the compression is leaking out of the cylinder after i turn it off. is there any sure fire way i can tell where its coming from b4 i tear it apart so i kno how far to tear it down? and so i kno what to buy
  8. it will run a lil bit hotter but you can increase ur compression with the cool head. timing and compression are cheap ane easy mods to do. and they are good mods to start with b/c ur gunna want them anyways when you get more involved with your engine mods. and these mods are very adjustable and compatible with future mods
  9. jessup pa? probably not but if so im like a half mile away if thats where you guys are heading mybe we can hook up and ride im dying to get out also.ill show you guys around the whole valley can ride all day and not go on the same path twice. alot of strippins for hill climbing too
  10. im wanna buy a new bearing carrier and dont know what a tapered bearing carrier and a twin row carrier is. what is the difference and which one is most like stock so i wont have a tuff time finding bearings when its time to replace them.
  11. where did you get them from? i would like a set like that but i wold like them +2
  12. the tire wont catch on fire and i will not explode not enough air to start a fire and not enough air to create a massive explosion that will destroy the tire if you dont feel safe use carb cleaner rather than the eather
  13. i agree with the starting fluid and match it works great
  14. id say you would be alright with jb weld that shit is tough ive filled holes tapped it and snaped off bolts in that shit lol. and by the way banshee terror a chevy 350 is a smallblock engine. i not sure but i think the old 396 is the smallest bigblock
  15. honestly i think widening it and lengthening it is not a trail friendly mod. expecially on tight trails. the slight and basially unneeded stability is not worth the compromise in turning radius and loss of room on tight trails. imo the stock wheelbase is just fine for riding in the woods.but better shocks are a must have especially if you ride on rocky trails. what i suggest is a low to mid range pipe, jets, timing shocksand gear it a little lower so ur not working the clutch all the time
  16. castrol is not a good 2 stroke oil. get ams, klotz, yamalube or basically anything you get at a motorcycle shop. nothing from a gas station or wal mart or autozone is worth shit.
  17. could also be the fact that the tires on a quad dont get balanced. if you get a tire that is not made quite perfect or is not mounted perfect it will be out of balance and you will not feel it until high speed. just like in a car you can put new tires on without balancing them and feel like ur gunna crash when ur on the highway. chances are this is not ur problem but if it is you could take it to a garage to get balanced for very little money. or just dont go that fast on the street.
  18. looking to buy some +2+1 lower a arms that will bolt onto a j arm frame. im not sure if newer style will fit. but anyways i bought a pair of lonstar +2+1 upper j arms well they call them v arms off ebay for 43 bucks. i need a pair of lower a arms that will work with them. im not picky about brand and dont mind doing slight modifications.
  19. i have a stock head ,topend gaskets, stock unmolested jugs in good condition still have original hatching, pistons need rings and ,stock carbs with dyno jet kit in them the threads are stripped on the top of 1 of them make an offerand a stock stator wires are cut about 6" b4 the plug
  20. yea insulation doesnt work for shit. the thing will still be loud and it burns out real fast. well it may work with a high density insulation like r-21 i used r-19 and packed the shit out a fmf cr250 silencer and it didnt work very well.
  21. im 5'9" and have pro taper se atv high bend and they fell very comfortable to me. they are a little wider than stock but they do have measurements on each end so you can cut them down evenly without even having to break out ur tape measure.
  22. nice work but that color looks like the cheesy chrome paint you buy in a can at autozone.
  23. yea they will fit on a j arm banshee with the same process they are really tight but they do fit i just got done putting them on my 88 shee and they look and work sweet
  24. or if you want i have 2 laying around ill give 1 of them to you if i can fit it in an envelope and mail it wit 1 stamp
  25. buy an entire engine gasket kit for like 50 bucks b/c you are gunna end up using them at 1 point or another
