    Clutch piece

Im looking for that little rubbery plate in the clutch. Along with the lock washer for it. Im willing to pay for 2 day shipping if possible.
  3. what about the taillight? can i just cut it out too?
  4. Im going to start wiring my Banshee sometime this week. Heres my problem. I have an 87 banshee frame and wiring harness. Yet I have an 06ish engine. The wiring plugs off of the coil are different. I was just wondering if its going to be ok to cut and splice each color to the other. Also I have no tors or a keyswitch for that matter but i do have a run switch what do i need to do so i dont need a keyswitch but my headlight/runswitch will work. and can i just cut the tors wires off?
  5. oh, sorry, i misunderstood you. i thought you were looking for a place to ground it.

    Wiring Harness

hey man, could you show me some pics of the plugs on both sides of an 02+ engine? just to verify that i have the right plugs.

    Wiring Harness

I need wiring for my banshee. I think the engine is an 06. I want something that doesnt look like crap, wiriing that I can trust.
  8. NO, that completely eliminates the purpose of grounding, it does not work by just sticking it somewhere on your engine like a cylinder or something. take off your chain cover, stick the ground wire there, and stick a bolt through it, whether you have a chain cover or not thats where it supposed to go. The cylinder and head are nowhere near conductive enough. The magnesium valve cover obviously wont work either.
  9. wiseco pistons are a tiny bit lighter and almost impossible to shatter because they are forged. the only time i use oem pistons is when i spend nights at the track and change my piston every other week.
  10. it should spark, but alot of times, like with an ltz400 i worked on, your spring clips can get stuck and the exhaust valve hangs open. make sure its not doing that.
  11. You know that second piece on the clutch cover towards the water pump? It goes right under the water pump cover itself. Do i have to have that? 1 more thing, on the clutch cover is a port, how does it fasten on? I hammered it out of my old one and into my new one, it looks like some kind of fastener goes there. What do you guys think?
  12. damn, oh well. somehow people are getting alot out of their banshees around here. one worse looking than mine just went for 2200. the seat, it came with the banshee, im not keeping it. the fenders, they arent bolted down yet, they are in shape.
  13. exactly. ill take that as a +1
  14. any other opinions? what could i do to raise its value significantly?
  15. that sucks im obviously not going to get my money's worth.
  16. 87 Frame with what I think is an 06 engine, welded crank, wiseco pro-lites with 0 seconds on them, tors removed, k&ns with outwears, .80 over cylinders, t5's, every piece of hardware is new. Im just wondering if I were to advertise it on craigslist running, how much I could expect it to bring in, not that im selling it, im just curious. The engine... (clutch cover is now on and stuff is clean) The banshee
  17. dont give up. flush your engine with kerosene and compressed air. if you dont get it with your oil plug off, pull the motor and turn it upside down shaking it a little.
  18. the 450 definitely! you can get a nicer banshee for less than that. the 450 is a dream to ride. you will fall in love with it.
  19. i couldnt find it online, so i went to the "gulp" dealer. and they found it.
  20. im looking for the thrust washer that goes behind my idler gear. could someone show me where to get one? please.
  21. i had this exact same problem last year, the oil was grey and nasty. its your water pump impeller seal. buy a new bearing because you almost always destroy them getting them out, and buy the seal, use a socket and put it on the outer race of the bearing, hammer it out, same with the seal, heat up the bearing and put the case in the freezer, drop the seal in and then the bearing.
  22. we dont need to flame myself because i prefer a quad that you dont. im here to give and get advice to get my banshee running. i prefer the feel of a four stroke, the immediate power and ability to lug fits my riding style. if i offend anybody by that i dont care.
  23. honestly i dont plan on having my banshee long after i get it running. most likley im going to save up and buy a 450. btw, a 700 is inferior to the 450, suspension, the way it sits, and its just barely ahead in power. the yfz450 makes exactly 40hp piped. the raptor 700 makes it stock.
  24. i also use a belt type oil filter wrench to hold the inner hub if you dont have an impact. but your going to need an impact alot working on a banshee. might as well buy one.
  25. you should NEVER use starting fluid in a two stroke.
