  3. you guys are all going to hate me but... 1.yfz450 frame 2.yfz450 enigne 3.yfz450 hmf exhaust 4.yfz450 nerfs 5.yfz450 accesories
  4. lol, yes i meant inferior, sorry. but really, does the double carb setup give more power or response?
  5. one more thing, is the 1 into 2 carb setup deferior? how much power do you lose off of that?
  6. i know lol, i was just wondering why i was being told this.
  7. ummm... ookayy...
  8. I could get a set of stock pipes for $26. But toomeys are outrageous! Are pipes worth it? How much power do they actually add with butt-dyno testing?
  9. just in case nitrotate cant figure it out, watch if you guys can and tell me what you think is wrong.

    manual

yea, i need a manual, cheap as possible, it needs to be readable.
  16. ok, so im having tons of problems with my banshee and im starting to get pissed. i split the cases, and just to see, i threw the gears and shift star on, then the shifter. the thing is HARD to shift, and for some reason once i get to fifth, it wont go into sixth. i cant figure it out, why is it being like this? oh, also, its impossible to get into neutral, it either goes into first or second, you cannot get it into neutral with the shifter. so what holds the shifter solid? there is nothing on mine to hold it, but its been so long since i took it apart i dont remember. ive tried putting the cases back together, but it was the same thing. 1 more thing, where the gear clusters go in, there are some knotches on the top that look like a place for more c clips, please tell me i dont need anymore.
  17. Alright, so my project is getting further and further along, soon it will be time to put the engine back together and throw it in the banshee. Now for my worst nitemare, wiring! Now as far as i know, all the wiring is there, but I still have a few questions... 1. Does the 87 have a key? and if so can i just rig it up to not need one, because i dont want to drop any money on some module that i wont ever need. I have the headlight switch that says run on it and stuff, but no key. 2. How many hookups are actually going to and from the engine and is it anywhere besides at the flywheel? 3. Any pictures of wiring on your banshee would be greatly appriciated, ive been dreading this part ever since i got the banshee, all i see are a jumble of wires that could be anything. Treat me like a noob, because I am when it comes to wiring. here is the switch i currently have. OH, while im at it, are there any special, or aftermarket parts anybody see's here?
  18. wiseco definitely, 3 years riding that often is really overdue for a top end, to be safe anyways. i know vitos sucks, dont know anything about pro-x, but i know wiseco's are forged and nothing but reliable. i just bought my top end on ebay, look there, its pretty cheap.
  19. .076mm is about the same right? see when i bought the piston for my rm125, it said it on a little paper, i looked all over for where it said this but couldnt find it, i guess because it was right in front of my face.
  20. so i tell him 3 thousands of an inch? ive had 4 people say this so im going to take a gamble and tell him that. i have a manual on my other computer, but it decided to crash
  21. ok, i recently bought some .80 over wiseco pistons, so now i am having my cylinder bored to 66.00mm (thats right isnt it?) anyways the machine shop guy asked what the piston to cylinder clearance was supposed to be, anybody have any ideas?
  22. lol, sorry guys, typo. it was 65.98
  23. so im having troubles here, my uncle came out with the measurement of like 59.98 on my cylinders, the pistons say 59.92 now to get .80 over, i need the cylinders to read 66.00, correct? now my uncle says boring isnt worth screwing with, and that we could get that with a hone. now, does that sound the least bit safe? do you think they can really get it accurate enough with a hone? and those measurements are fine, right? my cylinders need to measure 66.00 to get some .80 over pistons in there, correct? sorry, i know nothing anymore, ive been working on dirtbikes for years, but with banshees, im right back to the start, with lack of nikasil cylinders and such.
  24. Wait, what if it needs to be bored out more than my .80 over pistons?
