bought the carbs from another state. 310 mains, needle on the last clip. at about 1/2 throttle it will run fine under load, but hold it there and it will not run smoothly. i did everything right, killed the banshee, ect. no matter what i do the insulator is tan, but thats not right! if the jetting was fine it would be running ok!

i hope its fine, but there is so much slack in it that i cant even get it hooked to the rod or whatever you call it. i will let you all know how it goes.

i loled at magz. this could be a number of things. are you sure your fuel lines arent kinked? check them both for good flow. sync your carbs, clean them (jets especially) make sure you are getting spark on that side, and make sure one doesnt just idle higher than the other by checking your idle screws.

i have a ton of slack in the cable even when the adjuster is all the way loose. isnt that nice? two parts i bought today, both of them are non-refundable and both of them are the wrong parts. that fucking dealer IS going to take this shit back tomorrow or someone is getting a cap busted in their ass. this fucking pisses me off. this is the same place i ordered a crossover tube from and got a gas hose.

you mean the shifter lever wont move? that means your clutch is worn. the markings should only line up where the piece gets hard, use your finger not the lever. hard to explain, but if they line up when your clutch is all the way in, you better stop riding it because the nut on your adjuster is loose.

This thing is starting to piss me off. Could someone please show me just how to route the clutch cable?

i never had one. this is my first banshee and i built the engine so i didnt have one. ive been using an extended xr75 shift lever that bends everytime you shift, lol. its definitely not going to fit, wrong lever i guess.

could i get some close ups of your guys's levers?

i just got a shifter lever from the yamaha dealer but it doesnt clear the peg? does anybody know why, or do they need to be bent?

I have a completely stock right cylinder and a Hot Rods crank. Crank spins free, has come out of a seized engine, but is clean and functional. I can also throw in a set of elbow and knee pads and a kidney belt if I can find it. Let me know.

the only mods that would affect my jetting that i have are vitos reeds, k&n pods with outwears, T5's, and its bored .80. 1 more question. when i first got it it was running rough, along with smoking a TON but putting the clip 3 up helped it alot, so obviously it was running rich. heres my question, why did that seem to hurt 3/4 to full throttle, and why was it smoking so bad if it needed to be richer?

I need to test out my jetting. I live in southern Missouri. I bought my carbs from a guy in Colorado I believe. Lower elevation means I need to make it leaner right? Anyways, I adjusted my needle and it seems to run best on the bottom with the needle on the last clip, that cant be right can it? Ever since I adjusted the needle my powerband is almost non-existant, the bike refuses to rev that high. What do I need to do?

Im just drifting around this dumpster in my front yard (everybody has one of those right?). And all of a sudden my banshee dives into the ground. Im like, WTF? So i took it back to the shop to find this awaiting me. (that is kitty litter on the floor)
