  1. it takes decades for you head to actually warp usually, besides, just because you never had any trouble doesnt speak for anybody else.
  2. well if you dont get them all the same, your head can slowly warp, you run the risk of under or overtightening them therefore stripping them out, ect. its just good to follow torque specs. especially on your clutch.
  3. i crapped myself laughing at that
  4. well its not going to matter anyways, maybe if you didnt put a top end in it 4 times a year i would consider it, basically they are just trying to get assurance that your rings will seat.
  5. basically just really taking advantage of heat cycles.
  6. necessary, no. i see what they are going for though.
  7. yeah, nobody agrees on what to do for the break in period. from dry builds to idling. i just follow the manual. i cant wait to break it in in the morning!
  8. 87, never seen it run before. traded my rm125 for it and it came with a blown up 06ish engine. ive never seen it run before, stuck a welded crank in it, bored the cylinders .80 over, wiseco pro-lites, few things here and there. never even owned a quad before.
  9.
  10. here you go
  11. Started on December 15th, I got done wiring it a few hours ago. I promised myself I would be done by my 15th birthday, and I am! started on the 3rd kick, video is coming.
  12. so does the voltage regulator ground itself where it bolts onto the frame?
  13. yeah, here i am right now...
  14. yeah, i know, im just asking why there is a ground spliced out of the cdi to stator wire, the diagram doesnt even show it. yeah, thats what i just did, one of my wires was spliced 10 times and had 7 different colors. im just going to o-reilleys and starting over.
  15. So, while rewiring this absolute mess on my banshee, i came across this weird setup. the wire that ran from the cdi to the coil and stator, was spliced, split, and ran to where the voltage regulator bolted on and grounded there. is this wire even supposed to be grounded?
  16. um, its a breather tube, its necessary. not trying to be smart or anything, just sayin...
  17. it goes over the water pump cover. i see no need for it, except maybe for assurance that you dont break the water pump cover, idk.
  18. thank you. i admit i took it a little too seriously, but thats been eating me up.
  19. what in the hell? why does everybody have to be dissing four strokes? im sick of it. just because you prefer a two stroke doesnt mean four strokes suck. give me one good logical reason besides fun and cost that four strokes are inferior. well you cant, get with the program, they are selling good right now, dont even try to blame it on emissions shit, that has nothing to do with it, why do you think they still sell the yz class? dont give me that half displacement equal power shit either, the yz250 makes 47hp while the yz450f makes somewhere around like 54. and the yz is 25cc's over half. dont make me pull out dynos, the four stroke has a good 10hp almost everywhere over the two stroke until it gets near the top. i own a banshee because it is fun and cheap to operate, just because the price holds me back from buying one, i dont go ragging on them. neither stroke is better than the other, it all depends on what you are doing.
  20. yes, i was mistaken. i was overcomplicating things as usual and got an incorrect measurement. hopefully routing that hose correctly will stop the leakage. btw, does anybody know if i NEED to to have an access panel? its already saved me once not having one.
  21. yes, i just realized the hose was just hanging there. good call.
  22. So first time filing up the banshee with tranny fluid since im just now getting that far in the build, i saw 1500cm3, and mistaked it for 1500cc's. i poured in a little over 1200cc's of oil since thats all i had. i turned around and there was fluid everywhere, it was coming out of the hose that is supposed to route above the access panel by the water pump, i dont have an access panel btw. so i saw it was overfull and let it run out. i come back 20 minutes later, and its still dripping out. i check the dipstick and its a little under half. so why did it continue to drain? is it even supposed to be leaking?
  23. just curious, how come a cushion ring is so disposable?
  24. man am i glad to hear that! the banshee is ready to run just about then! 1 more thing. is there some type of hanger on my exhaust that comes off of the frame? i got some t5's and they fit nice and everything, but the mount hole doesnt line up with anything.
  25. seriously? because if so that makes my week, lol.
