  1. it has 155 mains in it and if i remember correctly i moved the clip up one from the middle cause it seemed a lil rich. what could i do with timing? anything that would benefit it? how much would do what? i would love to run 39's if i could trade somebody outright for my 35's i would. same goes for shearer's... should i try to go to a 16 tooth front sprocket? i tried a 17 didnt like it at all. it was too much. it hooks good but tops out too soon runs out of power too fast like the power band is too short or smtn not quiet sure its so frustrating. i might just go run the shit out of it real quick :mad: lol
  2. i just checked mine it has 155 main in it not sure the pilot didnt have a lil enough screw driver lol. but the needle clip should be one above the middle. should i try more timing? what would how much do? its topping out too fast. but it pulls good when its running good. should i try a 16 tooth front sprocket? anybody got one? so theres my main jet what can i do to get more top end?
  3. its wierd cause sometimes it feels like a 4mil cub then sometimes it just doesnt! but i like the sound of going to 39mm carbs bigger is always better. hopefully get it runnin right soon

Ok thanks this thing just feels like a turd. sometimes i cant keep it down then feels like the clutches are slipping. i did move the clip up one notch a while back to lean it a lil. now it is one above the middle i believe. its so tempermental but i will get it right with yals help hopefully soon. and yea zac i kno lol... i will give you a call sometime today or so... thanks... :shoothead:
  5. i live on the ms gulf coast so its gotta be sea level. im not sure what pilots mains and all im runnin ill find out. what all goes along with changing carbs? you gotta get new intake boots and filters or what? also what will adding timing do? how much to add? thank yal ill try to get in the carbs soon and find out what main jets and pilots im running will that reaLLY help yal help me lol knowing where that is ill find out today.
  6. trying to get this thing right just wondering if anyone knows where about i should be on jetting and timing and gearing and everything honestly.. its topping out way to fast. its a 421 cub 35mm pwk's, vforce 3's, 68mm pro lite pistons 4mil stroke, cool head 20cc domes, +4 timing, cpi inframes, 15/40 gearing, lockup clutch, straight cut gears, any advice pointers are great. if anyone knows where about a good setup would be for my motor i'd appreciate it if yal would tell me if yal know where about i should be on everything... thanks... trying to get most power i can out of it and the way its running now i know its not right... or as good as it could be. so how/what can i do to get more power and make it run better thanks. where about should i be on all my stuff... what works good with my motor... what can i do to get more power out of it the simplest way?

  9. thanks man i wrote you about that swinger but thanks i havent ever checked what psi i was running but i think im gonna go up on my timing and see what happens(how much is too much? which way does what?) i guess really yal would have to ride it to see how it acts but i have an old bald set of pro wedges 22'' there slicks now lol but im gonna put em on tom prob see how she runs with em.'' so which way on timing does what? i need more top end? do i need to check my jetting?

  14. so retarding timing to stock will give it more top end? man im not tryin to get hooked on meth lol na man its hard enough paying for and getting racing gas... but OKBEAST...it does pull very hard. but it tops out so fast. it might be that im just running it down the road on pavement to. it runs different in sand and on pavement and in dirt its tempermental. but you are def right man it most prob needs to be tuned i just dont know anyone close that does tuning or how much it costs... i think i might try to put some 22'' tires on it i have 20'' now and see if it runs a lil better. im just tryin to find hidden power in what i got now ya know what i mean...

My main problem is its topping out too fast. i've tried a 17tooth front sprocket im runnin 15/40 now. i need it a lil higher and i think that would help alot. but i also want to get more power on the top end to. like if addin more timing or maybe just getting it tuned right would help idk this is only my second banshee. its definately toppin out too fast need more top end. 17 tooth was too big. what can i do? it just doesnt run like a cub should!!! i need some help! should i go up a tooth on front or 3 on back or what yal think???

  18. start out 2nd definately... as long as you can keep front end down. shift as fast as you can. never even let off the gas just hold wide open hit clutch up shift when you need to thats how i do it if im runnin it real hard. othere than that you gotta get your power to the ground ya kno
  19. duning and dragging. dont want it to be one deminsional but i will be doing mostly dragging and some hill climbin and lil duning as much as i can with it. i just wanna make it as fast as i can then ill see what kind of riding i can do with it but bein a cub it likes racing pretty much thats it.
  20. man i'd hate to get on the meth lol it just sounds like alot of trouble but i would bump my compression up and my timing if it would make more power but i dont know what all would go along with that to make more power.

  22. hell yea lol. it always could be better tho ya know. i didnt go yesterday man it came a flood! lol it got bad so i said hell with it. talked to owner john tho he said they gonna put on a lil race labor day weekend gonna have a lil tree(light) setup and stuff. hopefully ill have a longer swingarm by then! but yea definately man need to get together out there ill prob camp next time i go they're pretty cool out there pretty leanient ya kno. but yea man you get on the top end of about 4th gear and you better hold on it just keeps pullin its fun lol.
  23. im wantin to get all the power i can sqeeze outta my 4mil cub. its a beast now but i've never had it tuned or anything. it has 35mm pwk's, vforce 3's, 68mm bore 4mil 421 cub, 20cc domes, cool head, cpi inframes, +4 timing, straight cut gears, oversize radiator, lockup clutch, basically i mean theres much more. but im just wondering what i can tweak on a lil bit to get some more hp out of it. usually run 100-111 octane gas. i know i need a longer swingarm that will be the next thing soon! but ill figure out how to keep it on the ground i just wanna know some things i could do to get more HP outta my motor. thanks...
  24. often as i can lol when my bike is together i got time and gas money lol. but yea i like it man its not far from my house. lilke 30-45 min. i'd like to see who on here goes that way we could meet up ya know. but yea i got my lil ol 421 cub cleaned up and ready to go. just waitin til i get off work sunday.
