http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-Yamaha...sspagenameZWDVW the guy says it is bored 60 over, but that is not the prob... he says that brings it to a 410?!?! now im no scientist with the calculating of cc'c ans stuff, but im pretty sure that it is not a direct translation with the boring to the cc of the engine... correct me if im wrong but that is what i had thought

i would say go with a cub as well... have ur stock frame sent away to be lightened, and get a bolt up sub frame for it... i would say go with a +6 or so swinger, if you go any longer you will lose that playability... get some top end pipes, Cpi, Shearer, GRR, D&D, etc... and if you have the cash, get a lockup and override tranny... the rest would be left up to you to get it dialed in to what your riding style is
-
what do you mean by play??? like trail or dune??? the setup will be very different for these 2 things
-
lookin really good so far  love the look of that color... what color plastics u lookin into using???
-
yea i have also heard good things bout the E3 plugs... never ran them personally but have always been curious bout them... they brag about more power and lasting longer then ngk plugs but idk

this event had a huge turn out with over 1600 riders that participated in the event... unfortunatly i found out some bad news the next day... there was a tragic accident during the event, and a 71 year old man, Howard J. Kirk Jr., was killed when his atv overturned onto him, he was trapped beneath his atv for a few minutes until his son freed him a few minutes later, by the time deputies arived on the scene he was pronounced dead... i did not know the man personally but i mourn the loss of a fellow atv'r, i send my best wishes to his family and friends.... i hope and pray that i can make it to his age and still be able to enjoy this sport that i love so much

How long have you been working on your banshee?
dragbanshee98 replied to Shags450's topic in Drag Forum
yea that is what i heard... but hey for 100 dollars it is above and beyond anything the stocker ever was or will be... i wanted to go full drag axle but bein in college and havin 3 wheelers, a sled and a new truck my budget is kinda tight with the drag shee lol wow sayin that kinda made me realize that i just might have an addiction to toys lol -
i like the looks of it... like how it blends with the colors of the plastics... with somethin like that i say throw looks out the window in order to get performance
-
i have heard very good things bout the 2-stroke pipes that they make, but never run them personally, i have run them on 4 pokes and loved them... ct makes some very good products and i would say go for it... anyone else got an opinion on these????

How long have you been working on your banshee?
dragbanshee98 replied to Shags450's topic in Drag Forum
i have been about 3-4 months i would say, i am mostly finished with the bike, i went through everything from new cylinders, new frame, and i have only been able to work on mine on weekends due to me being in college at the moment... but i am very seasoned with how a quad goes together and comes apart so i was able to do everything short of the tranny and cylinders which my father did so the process has gone very well even with the few bumps and snarls i have hit along the way yea i spent $100 on a durablue HD axle brand new, i can not see it at all needed to spend 700-800 on a drag axle -
i cant really help u out with the methanol thing but i had my bike pc'd and it took prolly a week to a week and a half to get it completly set... that is a nice lookin bike u are lookin into gettin, not a bad price for what you get, if you can afford it i say go for it you will not regret it
-
sounds like a nice bike but unfortunatly with todays economy u may have to take a kick in the nuts to get this bike to sell... pics will help but idk if it will move for this price... good luck with the sale bro
-
dont have an exact weight yet will get it posted once i get home
-
bump

if you really want to go all out and still have that 2 stroke, get a snowmobile motor, preferably a triple... and use the cvt setup for a tranny, will make for faster times... put that motor on alcohol and you will have an ltr from hell
-
x2 on that... it would take way t much time and effort to get the banshee motor in there, and a banshee frame can be set up so much easier for draggin... if you still want to do the ltr route go with the 600 motor if that is somethin u are interested in
-
i have heard good things bout the rear link that elka makes for the banshee... anyone have any input on this??? i have not personally used it but i guess for trail riding it works magic compared to stock
-
http://www.sno-pals.com/snirt.htm click on link to view all details... for those of you attending it is supposed to be one of the largest turn outs in the history of the event... there were 1500-2000 wheelers that attended last year this is easily one of the largest atv runs i have ever been on, and easily the most fun... anyone who wants to attend with a sport wheeler I DO NOT RECCOMEND SPORT TIRES THERE WAS OVER 1 FOOT OF SNOW STILL IN THE WOODS LAST YEAR  this run is a riot and i hope you guys can attend

2 Rear Marvin Shaw 15 1/2" Shocks
dragbanshee98 replied to BoostedRex's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
nice price for marvins... would sell alot faster if you could get soem info on them like type of shock, adn weight that they are set up for... good luck with sale though -
i want the bike to have some give to it somewhere... i have seen where people that run solid frames break and bend things cause there is no give, just a bit of caution, plus with this i can have my body weight transfer matter a little more with the front having some play to it
-
yea i do like the looks of the marvins and all... but i got my shocks for just under 100 dollars a set brand new  they have prolly 3-3 1/2 inches of travel which is more than i need for my app, and are pretty stiff for bein so small in diameter

Banshee, Sled, and trailer
dragbanshee98 replied to 97_Banshee_350's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
awesome deal ya got there... i would consider the banshee and trailer but to far to drive lol not exactly "ape hangers" on the sled... its a riser block so you can stand up while u ride and move around without havin to be hunched over to reach the bars, got one on my sled and love it  -
here is a better pic of the shocks... i just run 300' dirt drags with the bike so i do not need alot of travel in the front... i agree i do not recommend these for hill shoots or dunes but they are awesome for what i need
