we usually do just the park. not worth 10 bucks for me to get 4 inches of air and brake my leg. i think we should all park by the big water tower or whatever it is. easy to find for anyone that hasnt been there before. so whoever gets there first could snag some spots around there.

regular cool head domes will be fine for stock cyinders unless you have big bore sleeves put in. as was said before if you buy the head new you will usually get your choice of domes. what size you get will affect your compression. if you wanna stay on pump fuel then you wouldnt wanna go any smaller than 20 or maybe 21 (depends on your elevation). you can usually find a good used head with domes for 150 ish. just look for one with 20 cc or higher standard domes.

if its warm enough i would definitely like to camp. could be 65 and sunny or 40 and rain. never know til it gets here. id like to get there friday and stay til saturday night. maybe get off work early on friday

me and keyzer soze went there last weekend. the trails were actually in pretty good shape. the sand was pretty whooped out. hopefully it will be better by the time april gets here. the area we usually drag race in should be fine....just hang on tight.

it is kind of a balancing act trying to find something you can be competitive with drag racing friends and also ride in tighter trails. from what everyone is saying the serval sounds like the closest you can get to the best of both worlds. but for those of us who cant afford that getting good port work on a set of stockers is the way to go (or buying them already ported). i have k&t dune ported 4 mil with r2 and 35 pwk and i like how it runs so far. im pretty high on compression, should help it a ton on trails.

for 500 you may be able to find a good used 4mil setup with jugs and domes. then you can sell your old jugs for some extra money. or if you wanna stick with stock stroke id say a hot rods like crusty said or one from m and m atv. that way you no it will be trued right and you can get good bearings on both sides for under 500

first thing i would do is get the overheating issue solved. the plastic impeller and gear are prone to stripping out. definitely need to get this fixed so you dont run it too hot. take off the plastic cover on the clutch cover, then take the little metal cover off (antifreeze gonna come out), then check out the impeller. if its not chewed up then put a little pressure on it and turn the motor over by hand with the kicker and make sure it spins with resistance. if it doesnt spin then the plasic gear is stripped out inside.

i agree with big red. having a newer stocker trued and welded is as good if not better than hot rods imo. if you buy a got rods that is trued and welded i think you should have someone weld it better anyway. took my 4 mil hot rods out this winter to get it welded better and the hot rods welds were already cracking after only a couple months of use

so it was coming out around the cap itself or from the nipple that comes out below the cap? since you have a coolant bottle still any coolant that escapes should go to the bottle as long as everyting is hooked up. maybe the cap is just bad or not put on well. does it sound like it is boiling when you shut it off?

ive seen some fitment issues from maier plastics also. the ufo's ive seen look pretty nice. dunno if lakers will work with oversized tanks or not but they are really nice also.. whatever you get slap a grille from jds customs in it and it will really set it apart
