  1. U will be measuring vacuum. Not sure what carb tool u are referring to but here is the one a lot of people use. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59
  2. Damn give this guy a break. Maybe he doesn't know what brand a crank is just by looking at it but that doesn't make him a fool. I don't know jack about computers but if I dropped 3k on one I'd hope it came with quality parts.
  3. Talked to several guys this evening that wanna go also. Should have a pretty good sized group
  4. ya the price of the parts is crazy high. not to mention the cost of having it built if a person doesnt have the tools or ability to do alot of the assembly themselves.
  5. Cool. Sounds like that things gonna be a cadillac
  6. Devils backbone. What u doing to your banshee now?
  7. I was reading on the trikefest forum and these guys are pretty hardcore. A lot of them are travelling from far away and they are rolling in mid week. I plan on going out there fri the 22nd morning and staying the night and leaving sat evening. They have a mx race friday a hill climb fri night and a drag event on saturday. Its all trikes only but should be able to do some good drag racing with them on friday
  8. Be home friday. Pm me your # I can text pics if u want
  9. I am away on vacation right now but ill get u pics when I get back. Both sets of rears are on real nice douglas wheels. One set is american racer tires on 10 by 10 wheels. Not sure on the other ones other than they are the ones with the triangle shaped tread pattern. I wouldn't mind to work out a trade if your interested
  10. What size and kind of flat track tires u looking for. I have 2 sets of rear 18s on 10 inch wheels and a set of fronts. And I live 20 min south of indy
  11. Perosnally I would get uni pod filters over k and n but that's up to u. If u ride in any wet muddy conditions u may wanna keep your airbox. As far as jetting I think 340 will be rich if your running 270s now so u may wanna go ahead and round up some sizes in between. Having mull do a stock head will be just as good as a cool head. Only difference is u won't be able to swap out domes in future if u go a different route. The reason no one likes motor city is he has ripped off a ton of people (many members on here) over the years. He use to be a site sponsor but got booted cuz he sucks
  12. It was pretty good last weekend
  13. I would like to camp and ride at haspin during trikefest. From what I've read its held the weekend after fathers day. Ill prolly go fri evening and stay til sat night or sunday. If the weather cooperates it should b a good time. Do some drag racing with the tripods. Anyone wanna go
  14. i bought the cheaper unpolished one and it is fine. i shined it up a bit but not up to a polishers standards lol. for the money it looks good and is holding up well so far. i will say tho to anyone who gets one make sure you tighten the 3 bolts that hold the sprocket cover part on. i assumed they were all tight and they rattled out and i had to buy a new sprocket cover
  15. In my experience the stock squish is around .060. Obviously this varies and depends on gasket thicknesses. But I'm with gary I bet you are tight on squish. I did a stock head .030 once and it was a little tight
  16. any other stuff done to the motor? did it run fine before you did the filter and choke change? if so than something has to be up. maybe change back the choke and see what happens??? 158 is really rich unless you have other stuff done
  17. Hoping to do some riding this weekend but if that falls thru next weekend should work
  18. Wow that is leaner than factory on the mains. Definitely wanna get it fixed before riding anymore. Where u live? I'm 20 min south of indianapolis
  19. Has it had any portork? Assuming you have no air leaks I would think you would be fine prolly a bit rich at that elevation. Should be a good place to start then work your way down based on the plug chops. Unless its ported then u prolly won't wanna lean it much if any. I'm around 900 feet here and some friends have stock carbs with aftermarket pipes and air filters and they are in the 270 280 range
  20. Come with tires? If so I'd be interested in rears
