    Take everything off until you have just the frame..If your worried you won't remember where stuff goes, take lots of pics and label stuff and put it in seperate containers or baggies.. But to paint it right you'll need to have the frame completely stripped. get it powdercoated too unless you want it to look like shit after a few years.
