I have a similar setup at almost the same elevation and run 300 mains and 27,5 pilots. Try 310 mains to start and work from there.

WTF. synced very very well, but the slides are not even height. The whole point of syncing your carbs is to get the slides even. Get rid of your so called mechanic and learn to do it yourself, or rely on your mechanics advice only and stop asking questions here.

Some pipes and silencer mixes may fit together I would not recommend doing it. Each pipe is matched to a tuned length and diameter stinger. If you want the full potential from your pipes, use the silencers recommended by the pipe manufacturer.

Just check ebay. I paid $75 for a set of Fattys, no dents and a few rust spots. I ride trails, so shiny new chrome pipes would just be a waste.

make sure it is chrome, or else you will lose hp :biggrin:

Maybe his bike is polished for less wind resistance, or the boost bottle is polished to look really fast standing still. just kidding. bike and sled shops that don't know how to do porting will charge you around $350 to do a clean up to the intake and polish the exhaust port and try to convince you that it will make your bike scream. Read the attached document and do plug chops and learn how to tune your motor rather than constantly posting that you don't think you are lean or rich and it still wont run right.

1 size bigger on the mains, maybe. Depends if you are slightly rich with the lid on or not. My jetting is slightly rich with the lid on, and I can run with or without a lid without changing anything. The lid does act as a volume control though.

Your float bowls should drain out he overflow and not fill up the crank. I bought a RZ once that stood 4 months with the crank and pipes full of fuel. The overflow tubes were blocked off and the needle valves were shot. Fixed the carbs and drained the fuel and fired it up. Apparently there was still some fuel in the pipes which led to an unexpected flamethrower moment. The motor ran strong for 2 years until I sold it

Any ideas on how to package my cylinders for shipping that will get them to their destination safely.

You are running lean. Reeds will always have some blow-by, that is why there is a crossover tube. Why do you waste money on a mechanic if you are asking for advice here. HQ members give advice for owners who want to do their repairs and mods themselves. If you are using a mechanic you should trust him and if you cant, get rid of him.

Why not just buy a rebuild kit. It would be cheaper than the used carb and you know that it is not some piece of worn out shit that you are going to struggle with.
