  1. I run them with Elkas and they are great. You just have to keep the heims clean and lubricated....but they are 100% fully adjustable.
  2. I am going to be making some for my arms but it wont be real soon....
  3. Kinda off topic but if you run blaster pistons do you HAVE to run blaster cut domes? I understand that the crowns are different but does it matter? Thanks for the info guys!
  4. No reverse. They are pretty much race ready out of the box. That being said, is that something you want your wife riding? Maybe a little 350 raptor would be better, and it has reverse.
  5. You are like an hour and a half away. Any good riding where you are?
  6. I had FAST do mine and couldnt be happier!
  7. C'mon HQ! I know there is someone close with a banshee! Im closest to Kingston, ny. Let me know where you are...
  8. http://www.dfn.com/b...n/plugchop.html
  9. Agreed. It should rev out a little quicker, but not lose too much punch because the timing will still be at +4.
  10. ONly thing worse is Not tightening your drain plug all the way - saw this happen and it came out on the trail...not a good time
  11. Yeah Driggs is right. Just buy the kit, or a set of stock carbs that have already been done (dont have to be NEW). Why do you want to eliminate the tors to begin with? My point is if your going to eliminate the TORS, you may as well step up and pay for A: TOrs removal kit and bore out the stock carb; B: buy better carbs. If you are serious about your banshee, you will end up doing one or the other. Just trying to save you some headache down the road if you are going to really mod your bike....not trying to be a smartass.
  12. I am convinced that my compression ratio is too high for avgas. Im gonna go from 20's to 22's, and keep the timing at +4. Sound about right?
  13. Yes. But you have to buy different carbs and replace the throttle cable.
  14. I tried measuring the squish last night but all i have here is .038 solder and didnt get a reading. Ill get some thicker solder today and try again. Compression is 185-190. I ran a stock setup last year at 185 and had no probs with avgas which is why i dont understand whats happening. I started this year with c-12 and THE DAY i put avgas into the mix a plug backed out. This leads me to believe that compression is the culprit, along with having to gap the plugs so close. leakdown test was good before the motor was installed into the bike. On a side note: I guess deto is a sneaky thing. You dont hear it, but its happening? Detonation and pre-ignition are two different things? Thanks guys - once this issue is resolved I will be good to go for the rest of the season!
  15. Yeah I know about the whole avgas thing - i ran it all last year. Im not switching fuel as it would cost me a fortune to ride all season on c-12. Its either domes or timing, but one of these if not both have to change. I just want to know which one will make me lose the most power, that way I will do the opposite.
  16. Makes sense. Not the the fuel is igniting prematurely, but before it should via timing. What is the best course of action? Reduce timing or increase dome size? Where will i see the most performance losses?
  17. Absolutely MEAN man. Keep the vids coming I watch them with awe!
  18. Jeff is on the case via PM. I don't understand how backing down the timing will help if its already detonating. And since everyone is convinced that deto is happening, I will agree. Just thought I would definately hear\know if it was.
