  1. Wow, Im suprised. Keep in mind, I am new, but I've been running 26:1 for as long as I've had the bike. I guess from not knowing better I just figured that more oil may foul a plug, but I deffinately have enough lubrication for everything in the motor. I have never fouled a plug, and have ridden a good 6 hours at a time(not sure if thats a lot). With the leaner mixture, could I expect any noticeable difference in HP? I would surmise that more gas, less oil would explode more violently.
  2. Thanks for the welcoming guys, and Ill get that sig pic sized down soon. Im from Upstate New York, a little town called Saugerties. Anyone from around here let me know if you want to go riding!!
  3. Hey guys. I just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the board. I bought a 2001 banshee a couple of years ago and was really into it at first, then my interest started to fall off due to lack of people to ride with. Anyway, about a month ago I got the urge to ride again so I took it for a little spin in my area and got the bug. I knew it needed a top end since it had never been done on the quad so I ordered the stock topend kit from vitos and all I can say is WOW. Since this I have put new reeds in, a steering damper, sandbalsted and painted my Dollar General pipes, and most recently 32 mm tm's with .375' reed spacers- you know why - and flipped the front rims for more stability. Next up is a long list of things but the chassis skid plate will be here monday, after that since where I live is really rocky, its going to be ride, put something on, ride some more etc etc...Here are some before and after pics.
  4. Yeah they do, I just came from there because I live 4 miles from the place and hadn't heard anything about it. Too bad, there was a lot of stuff in there I would liked to have had.
  5. My shee also had DG pipes on it when I bought it. Make sure that they seal up real nice to the cylinders and your exhaust clamps dont leak. Then jet accordingly. Overall its not a BAD pipe, just crudely constructed. If the ones you are looking at buying are chrome, you can expect that to last MAYBE two seasons. After that, its sandblast and high heat paint time. Profilact
