  1. We used to have fun together. We had our differences and I would like to point out that history has proven me SOOOOOOOOO damn right about GWB and all of his "policies" . She used to do the same damn thing when we would debate, she would resort to using ad hominem and straw man attacks and thats when I knew.... that she knew... that she was fundamentally wrong. She would attack me for not attacking her back !! I would reply back calmly and refrain from name calling and boy did that fire her up !! I don't know how it looked publicly, prolly like we hated each others guts, but afterwords there was a mutual respect and we became and still are friends. I still can out-debate her any day of the week
  2. All right, I have some time to burn, so i'll try again. I removed my comment "your weird" because I predicted some witty dude is going to say "no, YOUR weird" or your favorite OKbeast... ""The Pot Calling The Kettle Black" It was too predictable and easy for simpler minds to grasp hold of , make a non-witty reply and then feel smart about it . My first reply in this thread wasn't meant as a personal attack at Daj, I just wanted to point out the problem that he didn't seem to be seeing and I wanted the other guys to know that I agree with their position. Plus I didn't want to convey any more disrespect and I'll add more to that at the end of this topic. so yea, the removed comment was "your weird". big deal. Daj, I thought my first reply here was pretty respectful, I made a point(same point the other guys tried to tell you about) and again you didn't address my point and spun it around like a politician. I'm just sayin' its a douche bag kinda thing to say when the guy asked about modding his BANSHEE on a BANSHEE forum. I really think you have a hard time comprehending other people. I was told to put the smiley faces in replies so people know your being light-hearted and you'll see that I did that in my first reply. Straw man argument : To "attack a straw man" is to create the illusion of having refuted a proposition by substituting a superficially similar proposition (the "straw man"), and refuting it, without ever having actually refuted the original position. I can see your agrument for attacking trail riders and XC fans, its was a great political switch-a-roo trick. You spun it up and got off the main topic exactly like someone on the wrong side of an argument would. I would dare to say you just insulted half of the banshee riders here with that stuff. If guys are not drag racing or own dune specific Banshees..... THEN THEY ARE TRAIL RIDERS. I'd say about half the people here are trail riders. You can forget your trail rider to drag racer ratio argument, forget your 4 strokes are better for XC arguement, there's no one here that is going to successfully argue that a Banshee makes a better XC machine than a 450 would. No one is claiming that. I stress again, the point of the argument is your comment's tone, and not so much its substance. Without sounding like "Im coming after ya", I'm just going to spell it out again ~~~> Your first comment in this thread came off as snobby, rude and opinionated. Its the same attitude problem that guys keep having with you. You have to understand that we are conversing in a BANSHEE forum with guys who own Banshees asking questions about Banshees. Who the hell wants to be "told" to forget it and "buy a 4 stroke" when they're talking on a Banshee forum, especially from a guy who has many posts as you do !!?? And just because we're on a BANSHEE forum, doesn't mean we can't suggest 4 strokes.... we can recommend anything we like. Its the attitude people don't like. For example, instead of saying "buy a 4 stroke" perhaps you could have said something less assholish like... "banshee's can be setup for trail riders, we have guys here that have been trail riding them for years and know all the tips and tricks to set em up, but if your going to be racing xc or harescrambles, then maybe you should go with a 4 stroke quad". See how that works? Your reply comes off as perhaps rude and arrogant, while mine shows some respect and was worded so I got my point across and no one gets worked up. Its called being "nice" to people. You also have to keep in context that the original poster is a new guy, and you have more posts than anyone here, you should represent this forum better. We should always stride to be a nice guys, especially to the new guys. Mean replies from the top posting guys will discourage others from posting, it hijacks threads and makes people not like you or the bansheehq. If you decide that we're nuts and your attitude is just fine, then the guys are just going to bust your balls every damn time. So yea, again... the real problem we have is your one-liner comment of "buy a 4 stroke" and THATS where my argument lies. Perhaps you thought you were being insightful and were helping this banshee owner by telling him bluntly to just go buy a 4 stroke, where other see that as douchbaggery. I asked you before, I'll ask again... Do you see where we're coming from here ?? I would hate to have your answer be "no' and then you will proceed to list why 4 strokes are better suited for woods riders. And Daj you seem to think im out to get ya. You said it before too. Im not out to get ya, I really don't know anything about you. I honestly don't know what your first name is. I don't know a thing about your quads or you or your interests. And its not because I don't like you, its because you only post technical stuff and I don't... and damn Im lucky if I make five posts per week. Yea, I posted tech stuff for a while too, a long time ago, but I don't visit the repair & mods or the drag racing sections of the forum very often. So I don't get to read much, if anything you write. I don't have it out for you bro. I'm about as mellow a dude as you'll ever meet. Stop sayin that im "out to get you". Just because I give my opinion and Im a mod doesn't mean I'm out to get ya. Iv been bitching at guys here longer than you have been here, your not so special that I'm singling you out to pick on. Hell in the time you've been here we've prolly talked 4 times, im not out to get ya..... ... or am I ?
  3. I think... you should buy a spicy-chicken sandwich
  4. Here come the meat-man off the top ropes... I just read every word in every post and I agree with MJ, Zach and Angel Ripper. The "buy a 4 stroke" comment was a total douche bag reply(sorry that's the best way I can describe it) and I applaud these guys for calling it out. Come on daj, you know its not a cool thing to say "buy a 4 stroke" when the guy is asking about modding his Banshee. Its like going to a Chevy forum and some dude is replying to you with "buy a Ford". Like the guys were saying, no one is woods racing these Banshee's, so that point is totally irrelevant. Like the guys also pointed out to ya, he didn't ask "what quad should I buy for the woods" he just asked "how to mod his banshee for the woods". So you gotta see that bro. Its just not a cool reply to give  . Just imagine, I could go through every thread in the XC\harescramble section of the forum and make the same "buy a 4 stroke" argument for just about every thread in that forum. But no one does that. Because that would be acting like a douche bag. Let me point out that robert0762 is a new member here, he just joined up in January. Only 51 posts. Possibly still learning about his new banshee toy. Prolly rides it every chance he gets. You all remember your first banshee and how you rode it all the time and couldn't get enough of that power band. Its your pride, your new toy and your lovin' it. You join a forum that has 17,000 other people with the same interest as you, Banshee ATV's ! Your new to the forum and you ask a very good question. BUT... there's always that one guy who's got the one liner comment to ruin all the fun. Mr. Buzzkill Soooo.... .... all righty then. .... battle-on, its fun to read.
  5. The compression knob should turn rather easily, it should click from position to position. The creaky springs, my Elka's don't creak so I dunno, spray em up with WD
  6. Hey thats pretty cool.
  7. From what I understand the only difference is there's little "fins" on the airbox side of the airstrykers. No fins in the reg pwks. Heres my pwk air stryker
  8. come on, he was obviously just bustin your balls  . I say roll with it. Its a tough crowd here, you should know that by now  . I know I didn't mean anything personal when I spoke about ya. I think ya outta chalk it up as fun  . Your at a ten when you should be at a two. Lets calm down . Touch some velvet, its been proven to calm people  Besides , ya gotta be honest... if he would have sent you a PM about this... instead of starting this thread, you still would have still been offended.
  9.
  10. I dunno.. I can kinda dig it. It looks a lot better than those tube bumpers with the teeth. I too wanna know if they're connected and are the teeth billet or just cut steel ??
  11. I think thats about a good an answer as your going to get. You gotta do what you gotta do, obviously some PC has to come off, just try take off the minimum amount. mabye lightly sand the PC instead of using a dremel.
  12. don't sweat it Brian\Lastnline. I realized as soon as I read your reply that you were upset over bigger stuff than my cold comment and that I touched a nerve. But at the time, I figured if your going to post it in the RR section, I was gunna roost around on your Obama comment  . It was nice of you to PM me, most guys won't go that far and the ones that do are usually the unique people that I like. I might be coming out to Texas next fall, I'll buy you a beer  Enough of that. Getting layed off is great. Its gives you more time to train for the upcoming Thunderdome battles of 2011. I'v been layed off since October !! Iv worked a full time job for literally 18 years. Iv never collected unemployment till last October. I didn't know life without waking up at 5 am and going to a job. I have it better than most people, I don't have any bills, I have a nice nest egg and I don't have much family to take care of. I went bowhunting more times this season than the last two combined. Its frickin' great. Gots all kinda time to work on the house... trout season is going to be GREAT, I'll be out for trout every morning. I'm thinking about riding my RZ west as far as I can stand it. So yea, always try to look on the bright side. You might be surprised how nice it is to be OUT of the rat race. I hope you guys can afford to be layed off. Everyone should be prepared. I know a thing or two about the economy and the markets and this is something very big. I'v been stressing it here for a while, just how bad this economy problem is and is going to get. I don't think you'll find anyone who thinks its going to get better anytime soon. Pay off those credit cards and mortgages asap. You should try to have a six month emergency backup cash supply saved up and kept in a money market account.
  13. Feb unemployment claims numbers come out tomorrow. They're expecting an increase in claims, but not a gigantic one.

    No way?

Just wanna add these European, Brazilians and Australians who visit these RZ350 forums could just be all very naive, just like most American's were before the internet forums dispelled the Boost bottle myth. You have to admit, before the invention of the internet and atv forums, THIS FORUM SPECIFICALLY, boost bottle were on every Tom, Dick and Harry's Banshee. My '88 came with a Boost bottle on it. The power of knowledge and the ability to spread that knowledge to the masses has convinced most us that they don't do what they claim. The RZ guys do debate about the bottle's effectiveness, more so in recent years as word spreads about the bottle. I should find the old RZ forums and have all the Banshee guys come over and school these foreigners on how to make these Yamaha twin engines run.
  15. "this couldve gone into the general off topic so people could see it and discuss it" Thats exactly why I asked the question in addition... this IS the roostin' room area so I'm always a little more of a dick here than other sections of the forum. :ninja:
  16. hey look tough guy, i was just wonderin' why the hell you would post this in the Roostin' Room  . Next time, answer the question. Calling me names does nothing to hurt my feelings. I figured the texas comment to you would rile you up, not the "posting in the wrong forum question". Did you even see the "nevermind I see your from Texas" comment ? But I digress... I guess your upset over losing your job and I was right there fuckin' with ya, I just wanna say sorry if that offended you so much. But damn if you keep postin in the Roostin' Room bro.... you better get used to some guys disagreeing with you. You can't scream "I quit" under the slightest pressure. black sunshine, great reply man, Im in the same boat. Enjoying my time off. Living life.
  17. How specifically did Obama lay you off ? Why did you post this in the Roostin' Room ? Edit: never mind, I see your from Texas.

    No way?

If you've been to any forum dedicated to the RZ350 (usually a foreign site since Yamaha only sold the RZ inthe USA for 2 years). And they all believe in the power of the boost bootle. They have custom ones made, diagrams and you can find info on the effects of different bottle sizes, there's all kinds of info about RZ boost bottles. The RZ guys are the compete opposite of the Banshee guys concerning boost bottles. They don't make any power claims with the bottle, they say there is a flat or dead spot in the 5 or 6 thousand PRM range that the boost bottle can eliminate or make smoother. These RZ guy talkin about the boost bottle seems like intelligent guy, most of em race their RZ's.
  19. Loco you diplomatic bastard, that was pretty good. I agree, just send everything back, refund the cash, and everyone saves face and life continues..... like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our lives. :ermm:
  20. I can see that now. hehe, loco sure did rip into him tho didn't he LOL  Ya, I guess it was purty funny
  21. ahhh LOL. Loco has a good point. HillClimber say 'thank you'.
  22.
  23. yea I totally agree, Loco's comment was an obvious joke. I mean if you couldn't tell he was joking, then you read it wrong. It was very obvious he was joking around when he mentioned your website. You need to relax bro and don't ever threaten this website again.
  24. TOTALLY not cool
  25. Ya don't get me wrong, the guy who started this thread should have known that its bad form to sign up and just start promotin'. And in no way I'm trying to side with those actions. I just thought you came down pretty hard on the dude. He polity followed up with an apology(said "sorry" twice) and asked to have the thread deleted. He also PM'ed me and polity apologized and asked me to remove the the thread. I would have just treated the thread like spam and deleted it, and maybe warn the dude. If he'd did it a second time, then courtesy goes out the window. Maybe i'm just getting old...
