Front fenders bolts wont come out of gas tank
Meat replied to papa-smurf's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
There's a hellava lot of banshee owners who have this problem. I always liked Holymans fix. ya just melt out the old insert and epoxy a new insert back in. And anyone reading this who hasn't had a problem with these two gas tank bolts, I suggest you pull the bolts carefully and apply anti-seize to the threads. Don't ever loc-tite these gas tank bolts. good luck papa smurf, your just going to have to get er done. -

how do you make smilies appear?
Meat replied to xXBANSHEE_KILLAXx's topic in Computers and Technology
Try it again. Get the smiley's URL and go to the post you want it in and slowly press both the "Alt" key and the "F4" key. -
Google "trevorton". We're in Pennsylvania

Well Kodiak450, we gots plenty O' mud. Its has rained here everyday for the past 3 weeks. Thunderstorms and steady rains, its a soupy mess everywhere. Right now there's flash flood warnings issued for the area. The areas that I ride are terrible because of the mud and water. Every trail is dotted with big deep mud puddles. Coal-Hill has big drainage ditches carved arll ove the hills. The last two times I was riding, I got completely soaked. You can't open up the throttle because your slamming on the brakes to avoid the all the water. Its a big mess. Great for the 4x4's, terrible for the sport quads who wanna zip around the trails. I haven't' been out riding since May 28th, it was a big muddy mess then. My buddy has been out twice in June and both times he told me I didn't miss any fun. I'm waiting till the sun comes out and things start to dry up. I'm going out in my Jeep instead, I'll get some pictures of the muddy trails. Make sure ya bring an extra set of dry clothes, socks, gloves. Make sure you have your roll-off cans filled or a fresh pack of tear-offs on your goggles. Im so pissed at all this rain, it gets depressing.

Its easy. Copy the URL for the smiley. Come to BHQ and find the thread you want to post to and simultaneously press the "Alt" key and the "F4". Its that easy. -
Thats cool. Where were yas parked at when he drove by and was it a statie ? Did any of you guys hear about a brush fire near the Mile on Saturday ??

Could you please give some details and post some pics of the "4 tv trays with stand with pictures".

Look at the clutch arm where your clutch cable attaches, the clutch arm has a "pointer" on it. Now look at the engine case near the clutch arm, you'll find a small arrow cast into the engine case. Adjust your clutch with the adjuster in the center of the pressure plate so the clutch arm pointer lines up with the little arrow mark on the case. When your all lined up, finish it by adjusting your clutch lever at the clutch lever so you have about a 1\4 inch of lever freeplay.

Thank you Nomad, madjimmax & MJ. And I think the statie that talked to MJ is right-on about only coming out there when there is an accident or when people are doing stupid shit. Like I said before... the twisty paved road that takes you from RT225 in Trevorton to "the flats" is RT2044. There's guys on quads and bike riding up and down RT2044 while there is a nice big trail right along side the road. I'll come around one of those S-turns in my Jeep and here come 10 quads haulin ass wide open in the other lane. Image how that can piss off anyone who's not an offroader. Iv seen guys riding right along side of RT225 with their quads. Thats the "stupid shit" that attracts the staties and pisses off locals, not the new big crowds of offroaders to the area. I don't have any problem sharing my riding area with the out-of-towners. I think the old school BHQ guys like BenBB, Loco, Banchetta, NYUK, JKJK, BigWill... would agree that I have been heavily promoting this area as a great place for many YEARS before the big crowds even started showing up. There has never been a time where I have turned down guys who wanted to come here and ride with me. I personally held the first CoalFest in 2004 where we brought in about 100 people. Hell I had the bansheezone website where I'v posted literally 100's of pictures of all my favorite spots... and that was about eight years ago. So its absurd that I would lie about a notice in the newspaper to scare people away. I didn't want to scare anyone away and I don't lie. Iv prolly done more to promote this area than anyone in the whole online atv community and I'm serious about that claim. Its just that Reading has rules and regulations now and some guys like to follow those rules and other don't. I never bitch at anyone who doesn't want to buy a permit.

IS 64.80 Acceptable bore for a set of 64.75 pistons?
Meat replied to 90Bansheedude's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
There's no exhaust bridge in a Banshee cylinder, so the piston drillin is not necessary. -

"Lubrication holes (2-cycle engines) If the cylinder has an exhaust bridge, the piston should contain lubrication holes on the skirt where it contacts the exhaust bridge. If the piston does not have the lubrication holes on the skirt, follow these steps to drill the lubrication holes. 1. Install the piston and wrist pin on the connecting rod using one circlip. 2. Slide the cylinder over the piston and align it to its normal position on the crankcase. 3. Slowly turn the engine over until the bottom ring groove is at the top of the exhaust bridge. 4. Reach through the exhaust port with a pencil, and mark a vertical line on the piston on both sides of the exhaust skirt. 5. Remove the cylinder and piston, and drill 2 holes (.060 - .090 -

I just put a new set of Wisecos in my bike and was looking at the instruction sheet thats included with the piston kit and I read the same damn "drill two holes" line. I was like... "fuck that shit, I ain't drillin my shiny new pistons". -
Someone just sent me a PM telling me that a coupla guys think that I am flat-out lying about the notice that Reading Anthracite posted in the May 25th Shamokin News paper. The suggestion was that I was "making up bullshit" to "scare out of towners away from my riding area". So I just searched my house and I can't find the newspaper to take a picture. But I can prove it was in the paper.... I want the guy who made the claim that I am lying to please call the guy who informed me about the notice in the paper. The guy who informed me of the notice is friends with you. He is from Shamokin and his initials are CQ. Not too many guys with the last name that begins with "Q", so you should know who i'm talking about. Please call CQ ASAP and ask him if he saw the notice in the Shamokin newspaper on May 25th. Then ask him if he told Denny about this notice. After CQ told me it was in the newspaper, I went and bought a paper, I read it and thought it was very important to post the notice. The words I typed in the very first post in this thread are typed word-for-word exactly what was in the newspaper notice. If someone has the May 25th paper, its in the second half of the newspaper, I guess thats the sports section, its on the left hand side of the paper, its a 5x5 inch notice with "READING ANTHRACITE" in the title. Why didn't the guy calling me a liar come to this thread and ask me for more details ? I kept the newspaper for a few days, but I can't find it now. I could have easily snapped a picture and then you wouldn't have had to claim im a liar. Here I was thinking all along that I was doing a good thing with this thread

Besides the possibility of fines, whats just as bad is if you drive all that distance to get here only to get kicked off the land. Last year Micheal Jackson came here to ride from NJ. His crew parked at the area I call "the Flats". They got some riding time in, and when they got back to their trucks, the Statie was waiting for em. They didn't have permits, they didn't get fined, but the cop made em leave. They drove all that way... only to ride for an hour and get then booted off the land. Now that would suck. MJ, tell us about your experience last year with the State cop.

Yup, thats what I was told. Jan to Dec.

Damn. I'd love to experience Vancouver BC. Great pictures. If I could live anywhere in the world, Vancouver is near or at the top of my list.

Dug up this info for a buddy of mine, thought I'd post it here too. Reading Anthracite Company Corporate Offices 200 Mahantongo Street Pottsville, PA 17901 570-622-5150 or 1-800-654-7792 570-622-2612 fax http://www.readinganthracite.com

I dunno, I asked that same question a few times, no one seems to know what a trespassing fine costs. My guestimate is prolly around $300 bucks, but I really dunno, it could be as high as a grand.

Thats a pretty popular place to park now. Guys are parkin all around that abandoned building right at the entrance of coal-hill. Iv seen 50 + vehicles parked there all ready. Only bitch about that parking area or anywhere close to coal-hill, is that its easily accessible to cops. The black coal road that starts at RT255 and winds up and around the south side of coal-hill is actually a street and its completely legal to drive on it. The dirtroad\street is aptly named "coal street". Me and a buddy were riding today and I had a cop follow me from the start of RT225 in Shamokin all the way through Trevorton. It couldn't' have been a Shamokin cop because he drove right into Trevorton with me, it had to be a state cop. I was towing my 250r on a trailer. He followed me through Trevorton and then I made a left turn onto RT2044 to go to "the flats". The cop stayed straight on RT225 towards coal-hill. We parked at 'the flats' like we usually do and were parked there for about 5 hours and we didn't see a cop or a Reading patrol guy all day. But... its Thursday too. Any of you guys spot an all red 250r usually riding with a blue yfz, wave me down and say hello. I usually ride during the week, but im out on the weekends sometimes too.

.... For what its worth... there's a neutral sensor on the rz cases that can light up a neutral indicator light. And I didn't know that the different cylinder numbers gave different HP numbers. I assume its the port work that is different between the cylinder models ?? I always thought the HP difference between the years was because of different style exhaust systems that Yamaha used. I have an RZ drum and forks in my Banshee motor, along with a modded shift star and an EZ pull clutch lever and it shifts like butter. RZ forks are saweeeeeet.

I dunno Sanzi. Its a hard call. If its a gaurentee that you will never come back to the area, then I wouldn't get the permit and take my chances. But if there's any chance at all that you might return to the area, then maybe get one. I'll bet ya like the place and will want to come back. Its a tough call. Also, like I asked earlier, I wonder how much the fine would cost. Iv heard a lot guys just get kicked off the land and never get fined\arrested. I'v been out a good six times this year and haven't seen any cops or Reading guys yet, no one has checked my permit yet. I dunno what to tell ya. Perhaps if you camping on the land, then maybe the permit is a good idea. According to my permit, it say "no camping, and everyone off the land at nightfall". $100 bucks for a pass. You have to get em at their Pottsville office.
