  1. "Very well stated" Thank you.
  2. I dont like this and it ain't funny. It did nothing positive for the forum but only added a negative to our rep. Loco imo you should have to told this new member that he can't just join up and then promote his website here. Explain that we don't allow free advertising, atleast not to newbies. The first thing said to this guy is "Fuck off" by the "top guy" at this place. If the new guy's post was rude, or if he spammed the room with porn, by all means tell him to "fuck off". I just sayin, it sounds tough and funny to some guys, but to others it sounded rude and out of line. This new member guy could have been asked nicely not to post that kinda stuff and then perhaps he would have have said "Ok, I understand that, sign me up for a banner ad". Instead he's talked to like he's your enemy, like he's not even a offroader. Spammers are those dick-bots who post porn stuff here. This guy is not a bot, it seems like he's tryin to get things going for his newsletter\website and just made a mistake on how to get the word out. On the anger scale, you guys are at a ten when you should be at a two.
  3. Maxxis should make this same Ballance razr in a 2 ply version, for guys that ride with tire-balls. Sacrifice a few ply's to make a real light tire for racing with tire-balls. 6ply tires WITH tire-balls is almost overkill. Anyone remember Turf Tamers ? Those tires were cool back in the day, but they were only 2 ply. Racers, are 6 ply tires AND tire-balls overkill for a 2 hr race ? Would a 2 ply tire with tire-balls be enough protection for a race ? I have access to a shitload of brand new tires, all sizes, all models. I'll get my scale and try to get some tire weights. I'll report back :ninja:
  4. caveat emperor. Let the buyer beware. There's a lesson to be learned here. Anyone who's going to buy anything that costs over say.... $200... should physically inspect the part or caveat emperor.
  5. I don't think its the end of the world, but it seems to be getting worse. As soon as I read this thread a few days ago, I knew exactly who you meant before it was revealed, but he's not the only one doing it. It seems like all the noobs are new to this forum AND how communicate on an internet forum. I would have no problems with people quoting pictures if they had something to say... where those pictures are needed to illustrate their point. But most of the time the comment after the picture is just a "nice shee" comment. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry954123
  6. hey fucktards. Please stop replying by quoting all his pictures every time you wanna say something. People have been bitchin up a storm about people re-posting pictures in a quote they make and this thread is a perfect example. Cbarown, your the second post in this thread, you don't have to repost all 5 pictures Utleybanshee posted just to say you like it and want to know what color it is. Dirtdragguy, same goes for you bro, no need to be quoting all 5 pictures to say what you had to say. Then dizzzzle01 has to go and copy and paste the same 5 pictures again with a crazy ass comment to boot. Come dudes. There's certainly times where re-posting a picture in a quote is necessary, but when your qoute 5 pictures, 3 separate time and have nothing meaningful to say about that quote, your doing nothing but pissin people off. I know its petty, but this little problem is all over this place and its turning into a bigger problem. So yea, I ask ya's if your going to quote people and they have a shitload of pictures in the quote, please use some common sense and remove the pictures from the quote. For more about this subject, there is a thread in the Roostin' Room, please read http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=109437 sorry for ranting and hijackin the thread a little. That paint color on Utley's Banshee is really really nice, its like someone else mentioned that it looks like a dark cherry color. I like it. And I say keep the headlight covers, but like SickShee said, turn them right side up !
  7. Realtors have been around forever. I live in the center of coal country and I don't climb the loose coal hills so I run Razrs. Those realtors work good in the snow too. I have a set on Honda rims that came with my 250r. I don't use em.
  8. I like the 'no bumper' look  ... on a banshee. Makes it look cleaner, like the quad was made to go fast and NOT made for GNCC racing. Those big front bumpers aren't needed for most of us Banshee riders. A lot of dudes don't want their banshee to look like every 4-stroke out there with a big racing bumper bolted on the front. But I'd still bolt a bumper on  . I can only think of two uses for front bumpers. 1. protection from hitting stuff. 2. grab handle for lifting the front end. 1. Most banshee riders are not MX or XC racing. If they are, then bumpers are required to race, they gotta run em. But hell most the Banshee riders are not racing single file woods hare scrambles. The only thing we're bumping with our bumpers is random stuff like trees  2. Front bumpers are great place to lift when you have to move the front end of your quad. Sooner or later you'll be out riding and you'll have to spin the quad around on a trail or lift the front end up to get it out of mud or lift into your truck. But hell, that rarely happens. I can usually turn around on the trails without getting off the quad. I do use my bumper to move the quad in my garage and load my trailer. Aluminum bumpers weight a few pounds. I guess if your shaving weight and not worried about the other two bumper uses, then remove the fucker and go for that look. I don't think the "no-bumper" look looks bad or stupid. Raptor plastics on a Banshee look stupid, no front bumper is kinda fresh. If it really looked bad you'd hear more people talking about it. I'm using a small QuadBoss front bumper on my camo 250r. The handle on my QB front bumper sucks and I don't like it. I'm always using my front bumper to move the quad around in the garage and it sucks that the bumper has no good hand holds. What do you guys with no bumpers do ? Grab the frame rails I suppose. Next bumper I bolt on will be one designed to easily grab the front end to move the quad easier. I like the bullhorn bumper that Ballance runs, its a Pro-Armor I think. Big ol' grab handles on the bullhorn bumpers  . I'v ran a Duncan on my Banshee and that was nice too, because it was small and not big and gawdy, and the thin tubing along with its design made it real easy to grab hold of the bumper. The Duncans' are made of steel tubing. I have a PRM Baja on my red 250r and its big and fugly and works great.
  9. Sorry, no delete'age. Grow a thicker skin, and have fun with it.
  10. Iv always ran pump gas, but last summer I got a new motor, so I switched over to AV. So far so good.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=230325550772 Check it out. its a good working stereo\cd player removed from an '06 Rubicon. No reserve. 9 dollar starting bid.
  12. I's say part of the job of a case saver is to absorb some shock'age, but another job and perhaps more importantly is they fill the gap between your sprocket and case to prevent the chain from balling up.
  13. Meat

    snowboard

Looking to pick up a used snowboard. Ideal size is 155, but I can go a little bigger or smaller on that number. Not looking for boots or bindings, I just need another board.
  14. Watching the video of Harrison's personal foul and it looks like #47 was going to chop block Harrison and Harrison stopped and starting blocking the guy downward into the ground. At no point did he actually punch the guy. I didnt see any closed fists. He can push with his hands as long as its not "holding", but he was pushing on the guys back and that might be the actual reason for the penalty. #47 then tried to get up, he was off balance and Harrison gave him an open handed block to the chest to keep the guy on the ground and out of the play. Hovering above the guy was prolly not a good idea cause then it looks like your harassing the guy. The question is, on a punt return are the guys assigned a certain person to block and stay blocking that person till the play is over, or is the punt return play non scripted, just hit anyone you can ? When I played, on kicking plays, you had a certain guy who you had to block and you stayed with that guy till the play was over.
  15. I'll betcha that cardinal was talkin' shit to Harrison before Harrison "personally fouled" the dude. I don't remember Harrison doing that at all during the season. One of the best James Harrison moments is the time when he body slammed a fan that ran out onto the field. Freakin' hilarious.
  16. Pretty crazy game. Gotta give it to Warner tho, he played pretty good in the second half, they almost pulled off the upset. Fitzy was quite for most of the game till his big td strike. Harrison's interception was epic and it'll be all over YouTube tomorrow. Holmes game winning catch was about as perfect as it gets, Ben put the ball in the perfect spot, there was three Cardinals covering Holmes on that TD.
  17. I hate to say it, but nobody thought the Giants were going to beat the Patriots last year. I hope there's no upsets this year.
  18. damn Speedy thats some nasty looking pictures. So your sayin it didnt break the case right away, but it popped off and everything was fine for a split second and then bam, it catches the sprocket and next thing you know your locked up and got a hole in you case. The last time I threw a chain I was on a big long downhill grade, I felt the chain pop and then clunk-bang the bound up chain brings you to a real quick stop.
  19. the last time i threw a chain, the bolt holding the front sprocket fell out, causing the front sprocket to come off the shaft and the chain got bunched up real bad. My case saver saved my case. When I threw the chain on my red 250R it busted my case save in two pieces and knocked off a small piece of case that didn't cause any leaks or any real damage at all. Case saver saves the day once again. I was 2 miles from home and the chain was wrapped around the sprocket and case so tight I couldn't remove it. So in my heavy riding boots, I walked home to get tools. Fuckin chain poppin bastard. I later found the swingarm bearings were toast, causing the chain to pop. This was with my stock Honda aluminum swingarm, it didnt have a grease fitting for the bearings. I honestly didnt know about the polyurethane ones. I heard of polyurethane A-arm bushings but I'v never seen the swingarm bearing/bushing version. I'd try those.
  20. Auction ends tonight 8:30 est
  21. Guess theres not too many Cardinal fans here.
  22. more thoughts  over the years iv been pretty damn lucky with chains. Iv got a few thrown chain stories, but overall derailing chains have never been much of a problem. Prolly the worst chain experience I have is with my old '88 Banshee and the axle carrier design that quad had. So... yea I should prolly drop out of this conversation because of lack of experience  But out of Loco's list, "bad bearings" is the problem that got me the most.
