i got a plus 4 on my cub, wheelies are nere impossable and i can roost my tires on asphalt any gear. i wish i would of gotten a plus 2

define long travel. what make this setup better than, o lets say broke's 250r-banshee. how much travel are you getting out of these bikes that make them worth it because by the look of the pictures all i can think about is $$$$. dont take it the wrong way i think the idea and designs great applause but lonestar took a very simplistic approach at tackling the banshee suspension issue http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/501084/25.jpg

for questions like this your almost always better off making this a poll not a comment response..... im not going to read 7 pages of junk to post my opinion. your going to have millions of banshee addicts giving thier .02 and for every pro you get a 2 cons will follow. why would you sell your basnhee and then question the boards about buying new one? i say get a trx250r. but if i recall that wasnt on the list.

well i have exposed air filters and i was giving her a bath so i stuffed my carbs with papper towels so i didnt get any water into my engine...... wat a headache.

ive left my 10000 dollar machine sitting under a blanket in my garage for the past 3 months because i was stumped on how i lost 75% of my cubs power overnight. i had once assumed it was my stator, then my ignition coil, then i thought maybe my reeds have prematurely failed. all of these turned up negative. then i though maybe i have a bad batch of gas, or maybe a choke was stuck open. i checked my compression changed my plugs and then walked away for 3 months untill i returned to the bike to tackle the issue once agian. at this point i checked everything twice besides my carbs and noticed one pipe was hotter than the other. i pulled of the carb that seemed to be causing the issue to discover a piece or paper towel made its way down into my float bowls clogging my main jet. about the size of my pinky nail this sucker fell right out as soon as the float bowl was removed. i guess the moral of the story is dont give up, just take a brake. but more or less i wanted to share this story with the forums because im sure this isnt the first time this is happened and no expert can give you advice on an oversight. yup a papper towel......live and learn

i have a 421 cub and over night i lost 75% of its hp. culprate was i pinky nail size piece of papper towel that made it down to my float bowl clogging the main jet..... ya i hate to admit it this happened when i was cleaning my bike late one night after knocking myself out on my tecate

so i need some expert input. because the atv modification world is mostly bolt on, its hard to yeild information about the differnt designs in suspension and why some us rear linkage and some are direct bolt on to the swing arm. i dont want to make the post super long and annoying so im going to keep it simple. i havent made any progress on the tezilla because of finances and lack of tools such as a welder. the itch to ride it is growing but i know the build isnt going to be cheap. the rear shock was blown when i bought the bike so i use the old banshee rear shock for replacement before the orignal engine had its meltdown. the first thing i noticed was the differences of the shock angle. i made a crude picture using my schools mac between classes. the banshee shock was extremly stiff and felt more like a strut when i was ridding it. tecate shocks are rare and to find one not blow will cost me so ive been coming up with some ideas. the shock now already causes some issues becuase of the location being so close to the motor intake. i have pretty much an entire banshee rear end laying around and i got some creative ideas. im going to cut this short because im running out of time but my idea is to make a banshee rear end fti on the tecate and give it a more modern setup. what do u think? any input?

i hate how boost bottles are labeled as shit. do i own one? no... and its because i got a internal cross over from my intake. cross overs help equalize the dual carb setup... they dont make any more hp or speed, like i said they equalize. bash me for this but i stand by it. buy one if you want but make it a finishing touch vs a performance upgrade.

tecate 4 with a zilla engine. everythings mocked up right now, engine sits in the frame, exhaust and carb are set too. i just need engine mounts, gussets on the frame, and to have my motor rebuilt by dr.q i hope......

i was wondering, does anyone out there cut custom engine mounts? i need some made and could draw a design with dimensions. i dont want some torch cut piece of steal, i want professional engine mounts. does any one do this here?

lets face it, zillas were only produced between 1987-1990. they had bearing and case issues then, and any zilla still in existiance is minimal 19 years old and probably has never been serviced. i own a zilla or did and it was putting out 75% of its power and i was beating piped banshee and was neck and neck with 700r piped raptors. i say 75% becuase its an 87 with stock pipe clutch carb and had metal chunks in the case. plus did i mention they weight a butload? i have the zilla engine split apart and im rebuilding it and making a tecate 4 hybrid. this should be fun.

so i was riding me tecate today when it started to bog and lose power but still would run. i checked the spark plug and notice it was lose... but it was loose at the white part and not the spark plug that threads in. so i changed the plug and put a brand new one in. it ran great and i went to a field and was ripping around a track and shortly after agian my plug had the same problem as before. any one know why?

its hard to say because my banshee does brake 100mph, but that was a couple thousand later. i do come acrost alot of thoes people who have no idea what their talking about but its funny to hear theres stories about "when they were a kid"... i guess if you drained your oil and put redbull in your gas tank hed might know what hes talking about.

idc what you say, but powder coat is the best. the reason pc chips is because you failed to properly clean the surface before coating or if after the frame is sand blasted the bare metal oxidized because it sat too long. you get what you pay for, pc is used on industrial equipment i wonder why

my cub wops on my friends yfz. he has a big gun pipe, no air box and runs on u2e fuel. i run 93 pump with klotz oil btw. its almost unfair .
