  1. im from W.A also, and when the US/AU dollar was good i bought some cylinders from the US and got them ported and sent to perth (HJR did the porting and rebuild kit, he is one of the sponsors listed in the link above. Hamish engineering does some port work (they are in welshpool, briggs st) and there is a place in wannaroo that port, one of the members here had some cylinders ported from there, he would know the name of the place. There would be more places that i dont know of. all the sponsors listed in that link have had so much banshee experiance, it sold me onto getting one of them to do the porting instead of in perth. the exchange is shit now, so it could get expensive.
  2. turns out im the 90% that cant oil my chain too..
  3. nope, just when i though comp was low. havent check anything like compression or squish in over 20hrs.
  4. im at sea level and a while ago when i rebuilt my motor with ported jugs, 20cc domes and .040" squish i was getting 141psi aswell. im gonna throw some 19's in. (i thought 140's was a tad low too)

  10. yeh, is there a sticky on the chain adjustment thing ???? so do you have to get a longer swing arm to adjust it ???
  11. GV= Gold-palladium center electrode Special Construction of V-Type. Racing use http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/docs/tech/partnumberkey.pdf
  12. yeh, just take some sprockets just in case. theres always those stretch's you can smash 6th down, and you dont want some one else to over take you hahah i wouldnt change ya trans just for one trip tho. puncture repair kits are a must.
  13. make shaw both surface's are clean and smooth, the gaskets should be all you need, tho i use a tiny bit of sealant (Permatex number3). and yes, gasket for each side of the reed.
  14. i use full synthetic agip, i change my oil about every 10hours (if i remember )

  17. haha 30c is nothing, ive riden into the 40's. its only me that sez fuck it, not the bike.
  18. yeh, there is a tube that connects the carbs together, if you look in between them you should see it, if you dont, you need to get some small 1/4" (i think) fuel hose and connect it up. the tube runs inline with the choke knob, in between the carbs. if he used short rod pistons on a long rod, you would have way more compression because the pin hight is lower on a stock piston. haha you get a diff comp gauge because yours could be faulty.
  19. yeh, keep both plugs out and keep the throttle wide open. what does that left plug look like compared to the right ?
  20. id get another gauge and test it, do you have both plugs out, with the throttle open and keep kicking untill the gauge stops ?. do you have access to a leak down tester ?. is the tors connected ? stick new plugs in and start it and let it do its thing, turn it off, then pull the plugs out and see what the one that is spluttering looks like.
  21. did you check the coil or pickup up resistance ? do you have another cdi you could try ?
