  1. just stuff, straight out stuff.

  2. the title of this thread tickles me.
  3. power is one thing, getting out of the hole is another. just race him and find out, so many variables in a race. i think with a race with those two bikes, its up to the rider.
  4. a clymers manual is pretty good, they have step by step procedures with pictures and stuff. i havnt seen the dvd, but i doubt it would cover what the clymers does.
  5. these are squish bands.. the squish band helps push the air / fuel mix into the center of the combustion chamber for a better burn when it ignites, it also helps disperse the power around the piston. when measuring squish on an engine, you are measuring the clearance from the edge around the top of the piston, to the squish band around the dome (combustion chamber) you need the proper amount of squish when building an engine ( not all engines have squish bands, mostly 2 strokes have them) too much and your engine wont run to its optimum, not enough and it will detonate and run poor, or no clearance and your piston will make love to your dome.
  6. yep and wickedatv is a sponsor too ! drop him a pm, he'll help ya out.
  7. cheers guys !, i took the bike out on the weekend and got some laughs .
  8. a yami dealer.
  9. well, if you dont have what it takes, buy a 450 . id go the yfz450, they are cheaper, more reliable and bulk parts are around. dont get me wrong the ktm is a sweet bike, but for some reason they just fail some times and they kill your pocket.
  10. hey, the exhaust on any two stroke plays are major part in how that engine works. its not like a 4 stroke. the ports and exhaust on a 2 stroke is like the cams/valve timing on a 4 stroke. When you change the pipes on a 2 banger, its changes how that engine runs. expect great gains, from stock exhaust to a after market one.
  11. its the aussie version of "yo momma" we spell mom "mum" here. and it sorta still looks like yamaha from a distance. admittedly, the idea was alot better in my head....
  12. cheers jeff, looks great !.
  13. as long as your happy with it man, if it does everything you need, what more could you want ?. as hp said, at least you have tried both... snop has had alot of time on low rpm pipes and 2-1's he got like a dyno and stuff haha haha jbooker
  14. ok, if its a video, it goes into the video section. if its an image, it goes into the image section. if its a technical, it goes into technical section. if its general, it goes into the general section. see the pattern
  15. no.
  16. use this search to find porting threads, its better than the search on the top right. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search if it where a 4 stroke, yeh shaw give it a go. but its a 2 stroke and totally different so unless you have the slightest idea on what needs to be done, dont touch it. and get a pro to do it.
  17. yeh, you dont need them.
  18. polishing the exhaust is a good thing, but not the intake. the intake needs a bit of texture to the port to help atomize the a/f mix.
  19. unfortunately that view is wrong, as i had the same setup in mind but dyno testing has proved otherwise.
  20. from what ive read, any of the top end pipes worked well, the CPI did really good with a bit of a better midrange curve than the shearer, but the shearer made a few more hp and pulled longer. they all put the T5 to shame. (low rpm as well) i dont know how the rockets would go, if the cpi did well, i guess the rocket will do too. i reckon 33's as a minimum. build em for pump, they seem to like that and not to much timing advance. it will be good when all of these servals are out and about, so we can see what setups work well.
  21. small carbs and mid pipes, fail miserably on the servals, and high comp and high timing also dont work well. you just built the worst serval ever, like mine
  22. 26 (stock) will be fine, 28 will prolly be perfect, 33's will be good for a peak hp number.
  23. i sorta know what your trying to say. yes, the opening diameter is bigger on a pod made for a bigger carb. stock carb pods wont fit a 33/35 mm carb.
  24. coz they can, im running 330 mains with stock pilots, with 1 turn on the air screw. when i throw the 340-350's in ill put the 27.5 pilots in.
