  1. fmf jetting is 260 main 30 pilot, stock needle on 3rd clip and 1.5 turns on the air screw. (remove snorkel on lid) ( jetting for sea level) i dont know why they run a big pilot, id try the stock pilot. (25)
  2. they look pretty some have built in cross over tube they move the carbs away from the clutch arm.

  5. dual stage uni's here aswell, can get real dusty. i clean them or just the 2nd stage, every ride.
  6. you could be running around 175psi compression which is to much for pump fuel, even without adding timing. you definitely need race gas, i dont know how much timing you could run safely, depends on alot of things. why 7 ? lucky number or something ?. stock port and airbox with the lid on isnt going to need to be jetted to 340/27.5, fmf pipes with airbox and lid on a stock bike is 260/27.5 at sea level. i dont know what those pipes are like that you have, you might have to run around a 280, and a 25 pilot would be fine. 280/25 would probably be fine, warm the bike up on old plugs, stop and throw new ones in, go for a lil thrash go through the gears, stop and check the plugs out. or search for "plug chop" and do one of them.

  8. you dont even need to be ported to beat a ltr, i was beating them non ported with just bolt ons. one 450 kept racing me in the dunes, he had paddles and i didnt, i still beat him. he had pipe and cherry bomb and that too. 2nd gear launches, catchya !
  9. +7 advance, 19cc domes at 1000foot on pump isnt going to work. +4 advance with 20cc domes @ 1000ft on 93oct would be alot safer, whats yours cranking compression ? i dont know what them pipes are like, but try 260-280 mains with stock pilots and 1.5-2 turns out on the air screw. what mains are in there now ? check the intake boots to see if the boost bottle has cracked it.
  10. yep, awesome lil combo, i ran the same port with t5's, stock carbs, +7 advance, 20cc domes @ sea level. and it ripped, the pipes have great mid and will pull you easily up a dune.

  12. agree 100%. and people are pigs, they leave all their rubbish and as you say, for some reason always race up and down the main entrance or road !! haha why do people do this ? ! i hope they look after you guys for riding areas. We have way passed that point here, your just not allowed to ride anywhere. they are trying to get more tracks around here, but nothing beats a free ride i reckon, pointing into a direction and riding it.
  13. you can try, but at the end of the day, money talks and they have more than us. we have 1 dedicated riding spot and its the dunes. all bush/forrest trails are off limits. what pisses me off, is when they say you cant ride there to save the forrest/bush, yet in a few months/years they level the place and build shit on there anyway ??? you just gota ride faster than the popo haha..
  14. no, a +4mm crank is increasing the stroke thus increasing displacement and hp/tq, a long rod(has 5 mm longer conrods) moves the pin hight of the piston (long rod pistons has the pin moved 5mm higher) higher so when the piston is at TDC, the time the piston is at TDC is longer and makes for a smoother transition from when the piston reaches its peak travel and comes back down again (increased dwelll time) and there is less side load on the piston. send your topend to a sponsor on here http://www.bansheehq.com/yz-banshee-specs-sponsors.html talk to them about where and how you ride and what mods you already have and they will port it for you. porting is the best mod to do to a two stroke.

  16. cant really gauge when using race gas, id like them a bit darker. but it could be right with the 50% race gas. hows it feel ? and with fatter jets in it, how does it feel ?, if it feels the same with fatter jets, run the fatter ones. keep richening it up untill you feel a it getting worse, then lean it off one.
  17. ive had mine for 3 years, in 3 different motors and they look just as good as when i put them in. they come with a cool sticker too.... x2 what jb82 says.
  18. swap bikes and race. is his throwing the front in the air and he has to back off, or is it just spinning the tyres ? drag ported 350s can be crazy fast.
  19. its normal for a 2 stroke to blow a bit of smoke when cold, due the the oil not separating from the gas when cold. once warmed up the oil separate's and lubes the internals as the gas makes it way to the combustion area. did it clear once warmed ? did you shake the bike before starting ? i always shake the bike before starting to mix the gas in the tank.

  22. its been both stock cylinder and cub, i was starting to think maybe they were just loose. ive never had to file em to fit, which id like too.
  23. does anyone get tight wiseco piston rings ? i always get ones with massive rings gaps, like .018", tightest one is .016" on this setup anyway, last one was .015/.016 and the one before that the same. where can i get some tighter piston rings ?

  25. like a little bit better than stock. you should always run a ported motor, if its a stroker or not. non ported stock cylinders are really lazy. so if you had to have one, go with the ported one. or just run a ported 4mm.
