  1. I hope he meant 16oz. 6oz would be 107:1 !!!!! If you can get an hour out of it I'd be impressed.
  2. Is the sputter right off of idle or more in the 1/4 to 3/4 range of your throttle? If its right off of idle get a richer pilot. If its more in the middle go to a richer needle. It sounds like you need a richer needle since your at the end of adjustment and its still not right

  4. Hey Dajogejr dont hold out on us. What else can you get deals on man
  5. what you do is take the carb off and turn it over on a flat table. Take the bowl and gasket off. From the flat surface of the carb where the bowl sits you want to measure to the highest part of the float. It should be 20mm to 22mm. I used a set of calibers to do mine but you can cut a little gauge out of cardboard to do it. Check the jetting thread from Benbb it has it in there
  6. Check the float on the right. Make sure its opening and closing. Check the float hight also. Did you check the fuel line?
  7. Hey Guys. Checking to see if anyone has a 4mm crank they want to get rid of. I'll take one with bad bearings as long as the assemby and rods are good. Let me know what you guys have
  8. Can we make that a stickie for newbies
  9. You guys are forgetting the HQ secret weapon. The HQ designed triple boost bottle!!!! Red is good for 90hp, Green is 95hp, Blue is 100hp, and the Chrome is 150hp!!!!! Added that up with everything else and I think you get 750hp or something and thats without a roost boost
  10. I think your degree key is haunting your bike from the lake.
  11. I'm not asking if I can run 92, I'm asking why you have to put race gas in a Banshee well before any other bike or quad. I hear you on the 4-strokes. I had a YZF426 and I'm only 5'6" so you can imagine what it looked like seeing a midget try to kick start that monster. I think the seat came up to just about my chest without any weight on it. I had to get the thing lower 2" front and rear.
  12. Did you ever do a compression test on it? By the way glad to see your got the shee running and that it runs like a raped ape. Have to chalk another one up for Kevin
  13. I know 250 have higher compression then the shee and they have bigger pistons. What about 250Rs what kind of compression do they have? Someone has to have an answer to this
  14. Thats what I'm trying to get answered. Is it that the new dirt bikes have better ignition or better combustion chambers? I'd like to hear from some motor builders on here
  15. Did you sand the frame where the coil attaches to the frame? Would that cause a problem?
  16. Ok here it goes. I'm looking at bumping up my compression on the shee and my question is why does my 125 run at 170 psi on 92 octane but I cant run the shee any more then 150 psi on the same octane? What is the differance between the two? I know that alot of people have brought up the fact that their dirt bikes run much higher compression then the shee but still run on pump gas yet know one has giving a clear answer as to why this is.
  17. How did you make out with the jetting?
  18. Ok. Cool. Like I said I havent rebuilt my banshee yet so I wasnt sure if it was the same as my dirt bikes. Thanks for the info
  19. If your gasket is on wrong you would not know unless you pulled it apart. Like I said if its covering a coolant passage the coolant wont flow and it will heat up. If you just rebuilt it you should be alright pulling it apart to check the base gasket. Also I think that might be a 92 not a 93. The 93's were all new and look like the ones they have out now. All you have to do is flip over the gasket and it could block a passage on a bike so it might be the same on a shee
  20. I havnt rebuilt a banshee yet but I know on my bikes the base and head gasket have to go on one way. Did you check and make sure they are on right? If you have it on wrong you might be covering a coolant passage. Off topic, what year yz80 is that?
  21. Ok I got ya. I knew there had to be some riding up in that area. Alot of trails up there also?
  22. Try 300 main, 25 pilot, 2 turns out air screw, go up a size on the needle dont know the number. Did you get the pipes new or used? I have T6, open air box and vforce and thats bout what I run near you.
  23. Where at in shanedoah? I use to drive through there all the time.
  24. Try it and see what you get. I'm glad to hear your sticking with it. At least it wont cost anything to try it
