  1. No its not reverse thread but what are you useing to hold the fly wheel??? 1St use the rite tools............ that claw puller will not only mess up the fly wheel by crushing the magnets in there but will f**k up your staror too ...............
  2. I would replace the stock j-arms.....thats are next up grade on ours....and its the hard way running in 4th gear when the ball joint blew apart ..Ouch.......2 broken arms and leg....

  4. yea its the gap...............you said new stator I had the same problem with mine ..........and thats all what it was....
  5. you may have an air leak....O-ring in the chock maybe warn out and when you pull the chock out it seals it.........had that problem with mine...the O-rings are metric if you can find them and a new plunger is about 25 bucks ........
  6. tell you one thing i think of that guy is a f**Kin A**hole he screwed me out of a couple thing on there...but for you if you cant find your stuff complain to e-bay and they can help you out if not with the part you bought the can get your money back for you............
  7. you said you have the key switch off do you have a jumper wire on the plug???its the red and black wire for the key switch or do you have them spiced together....
  8. maybe want to check the choke...maybe warn out O-ring???

  10. did you check the shifter rod??see if it pushed all the way back in....you might just have jamed it and when you pull the clutch basket off you may have free it...that happen to me...if not you may have bent it.........
  11. yep the stator should be the only thing you should have to change...
  12. that is normal...it look like only a little bit of smoke....dont know what your mix is if it was more smoke your mix might be a little to high....
  13. I had the same problem with mine with the new stator... move the coil a little closer to the fly wheel found out with the rick stator..the gap is a little farther away from the fly wheel....
  14. there is one on e-bay right now for sale with it set-up for drag...........looks shitty
  15. also might want to check the chock for air leak...O rings go bad in there too and will have a hard time starting too....I had that problem..........but only my 2cents for you to check........
  16. the mounting holes are different for the calipers .........what year is yours i bought the whole front end off e-bay too.. and the spindles were different too...so i cant say when they change them mine is an 88..and it has the bigger pattern...

  18. I would get an omemeter be for I would waste my time on swaping out parts..........you can get them under 10 bucks harbor freight...........
  19. also might want to check for spark to if weak also will do the same thing...also check gap between fly wheel and the coil...will also give you a weak spark..that how mine was fixed the gap fire up one kick...
  20. if you do the cheap way it may only cost you around 450-500 for the top end and you do it your self...mine cost me to rebuild top and bottom 3k....but it is one hell of a ride now...
  21. I have an 87 shee j-arms can the be switch over to the newer a-arms???or any after-market ones??
  22. it could be the choKe plunger ..O ring on it could be warn out...new plunger for it is about 40 bucks...the O-ring is metric if you just want to replace that if you can find them...
  23. if you are talking about from the water tank under the seat yea on goes to the rad..the other just runs to the front of the motor an down to the ground...the vent tube that comes out of the water pump case runs to the back of the case connect to a y fitting and from there i have mine running up on the frame rail under the seat so when i hit some water holes it dont fill up.. hope it helps someone might have a better way to run them....
  24. been getting most of my stuff down here at bower's out side of new phila.. prices are so..so..about 100buck for it same ones he uses in there race bikes...
  25. I would also say check the pick-up coil..... I had the same problem one minute would have spark next time didnt..
