  1. Lone star makes a set of D-arms stronger than the j-arms ball joints are replaceable and cost around $330.. but it is only the top j that is replace and you still use your bottoms....if this helps you...

  3. You could easy make your money and then some on the shee 1500 for it just on the motor and frame you would get you money.
  4. did you try the kill switch that could have went bad sence you when threw everthing else??
  5. dumb question but with the new wire harness did you re-hook up the key switch or did you jump it?? or nothing???
  6. how was the gap on the pick-up coil to the flywheel is it just barely touching or is there a bigger gap???
  7. sounds to me you have an air leak somewhere....how do the choke seem....try pulling on it a little but not setting it. the O-ring in there wear out and could be the problem....
  8. check the gap on the pick-up coil to the flywheel too much gap will give you no spark too.......
  9. the O-rings are metric when looking for them if you looking the an o-ring kit, and yea the whole assemble is about 45 bucks and they are the same as a blaster.....
  10. also get a piece of cardboard cut out of motor, every bolt that you take of mark in place on cardboard for different sizes....so you know where they go when putting back together....
  11. if it still has the stator in it you can get somewhat an idea what year of bike it was in they have 3 different ones if that could help you at all......but yea grounded off probably red hot........
  12. My money is all on the gap on the pick-up.........had the same problem as you and that all what it was.......Re-Adjust it and make sure it does slip when re-tighten ...and did you check for air leaks on the choke, that O-ring does wear out..
  13. some of them helmet light run wires off them to 12 volt battery and run around 200 for them... make a bracket and put them on the bumper

  17. when i said under 2k that was complete rebuild on motor and trans with a lot of parts that was worn out in the tranny...carbs..and plastics.. just top end bore and pistons and gaskets 500..
  18. left side where shift is..............#2 how's the oil in it run it low it will also give you a ticking sound....
  19. you can find it on here...........thats where we got ours...but as for the cheaps build do it your self My son did ours in school last year price in parts for a total tear down rebuild and parts under 2k.
  20. tractor supply sells them down in St Clair they are metric, thats where i got them for my bike...
  21. it could be a no. of thing starting with not enough spark, choke might be leaking air.....bad ground???
  22. Yep when we were at the hospital we were like how in the world was he able to get the cell phone out and call even get his helmet off and walked about 2 blocks home to the car....We figured he was in 4th or 5 gear when he jumped of so he was running somewhere around 50- 60 mph.........

On may 28, My 15 yr old asked me to take the shee for a spin so I said ok. sitting on the porch waiting to here him go by but no sound of the shee...a minute goes by the phone rings my daughter come out onto get me its him said he recked the bike.....first thing i think of he flipped it crossing the RR tracks run down to where i think he is but to kid or bike start walking the trail back down where we ride......I see him standing at the Y in the trail see the bike just sitting there......doesnt look like nothing wrong....he has is arms straight down at his sides and head down......he said it felt like he lost steering so i take a closer look at the bike and see the bottom J-arm where the ball joint is and it just blew apart.....and he said he jump off the bike before he hit the tree's.......My Wife get where we are which is right in front of the house on the other side of the trees decides to run him over to the hospital to get him check out.......mean while I'm towing the shee back home......get there the phone rings again she on the line with me" hurry over here he broke both arms, elbow and his one foot.Might have to rush in to allentown for surgery on his elbow."
  24. you said a weak spark I would check the gap on the pick up coil first before buying anything.....i had the same problem with mine even with a new stator being out of gap will give you a hell of a time to get fired up..........
