If you want to stay with pump gas then you will need to be in the 145-150 compression range and with a mild play port you should get that running 19cc domes. You will want to choose the set of pipes you will be running before the porting is done. (If you have that option)you will get way better results out of your porting. Curious who are you having do the work? have more questions feel free to ask!

dont quote me i have a hard time explaining things right. First 98 percent of banshee riders dont run the stock air box with filters if you have a cover run it without the lid. it wont change much in the jetting though. higher elavations will not change your mix. If you ride in higher elavations more then sea level i would change my jetting. the diffrence is running to rich or two lean. you wont want to run real rich or real lean for a long period of time though. it takes away performence in your bike. but to answer your question it will improve some air flow to take the lid off but make sure your not getting sand and dirt passed the filter or you will be in for some work. lol also I dont know the jetting specs for sea level so someone else will have to help you there.

I know its alot of work but it will save you money in the long run to tear it down find out what the crank is for sure and go up from there. Is it a long rod or short rod? Is it trued and welded?Were the cylanders bored? What are the measurements on them? all of these things are important to the top end and set up. then you will know what pistons to run. what porting you need and domes and head. if you just keep changing out one part at a time your going to brake a lot of parts before you get the set up right. would rather do the time then fork out all the money at a guessing game. let us know what the crank is. these guys will help you all the way so no stress. good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:ermm: sounds like the same issues as my bike. I have an 03 the engine is completly stock (for now). I have heard both good and bad about the staters so dont know if there lies your problem. but a few things to check, check compression while its hot also mine is about 5 diffrence from my left and right when its worm its a little more. if my bike is started cold it takes a few kicks but if i run it then shut it down hot and try and start it worm it takes all i have to kick it over. It could be either a week top end, or its flooding your carbs. where is your needle? what engine mods do you have done? what mix are you running? this will help the guys better understand what could be going on with your shee. maybe also check your fuel lines and see if they are plugging up when it gets hot. a buddy of mine tore his bike completly down just to find out his mix was to thick and it was plugging his lines. if you still cant get it talk to slobanshee06 he will help you.

You can buy out of frame drag pipes with or without silencers. The silenced ones are no louder than most of the inframes.

there are a lot of these guys that dont run them as they have custemized other brackets. I would run them on the bike since they are there to stabalize the engine while its running. So it does not shift with power or shifting. If you want to run a diffrent set up then the stock there are a few guys on here that have built there own.

its ships nicer if you wrap it with bubble wrap then shrink wrap it. ups or dhl are good for shipping larger things like that and there a little cheaper then the others.

I would check the compression on that side. Your loose plug may have caused an air leak making it run lean. It may have still, been firing on that cylinder due to it bieng hot. wich is why it seemed fine when you parked it.

you could run straight pipes without hurting anything on the bike or the performence. the silencers are there just to decrease the noise. my husband runs a straight pipe when he drags his bansh caution they are loud as hell that way

lol I dont think the fenders way you down that much. per my .02 they look better cut i do like the rear plastics but the front if cut right look way better.

damn busted!!! It gets better we rebuilt the bike added a bunch of stuff. last summer two weeks before our trip to st. anthony he burns it down. yup right after "i wanna go one more time" I cant tell him no i dont know how lol :shrug: . but this time he tore it down there was nothing wrong with it and he has only a few weeks tell easter so we will see lol
