  1. Sprint cars are biting alot more than you would think.... Quads that push into turns dont do it because of a shorter swingarm, they push because there front width is usually more narrow than the rear (extended axle with stock front setup) A bike with a shorter swing corners faster and handles better.... It is just less stable at speeds. Thats why sprint cars are short wheel base.
  2. Dont want to slide to keep momentum in turns, you wanna bite. I have a +1 and I want to sell it 5 minutes ago. Go minus 1 Imo
  3. I'm using a makita corded drill, a plain Jane cloth polishe wheel (6in) and mothers mag aluminum polish, and a mini power ball with the liquid mothers polish
  4. Started a little polishing today.... Thanks to all you West coast guys, I decided to go the extra mile and do some polishing, bastards. This shit is tough..... Any suggestions to reach the desired bling factor are welcome!!!!! The guts, The crank has only 12 or so hours on it.... Trans has the life of the motor on it buts looks great. Need new shift forks (which are $27 a piece?? The top case, Not bad for a East coast Trail build huh?
  5. Yea.... Thats why its pinned in the HQ's Jetting section! :ninja:
  6. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ GOOD dude to deal with fellas, I'm backing this guy bump
  7. "especially with cams its gets that powerband thing like a banshee has" :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: GOTCHA!!!!!
  8. Man... It sure looks like you have a motor mount not bolted up somewhere
  9. I'm thinking 4 stokes have oil filters because they have oil pumps..... And metal from the internal parts wearing, or debris from the act of filling the bike with oil (build up of dirt ect. around oil fill hole) Could cause pre mature wear on the pump, and the places the oil is being pumped to. I dont think material entering through the air filter is the reason for an oil filter.... There isnt much of anything getting past the rings, and valve seals.... Its not like a 2 stroke where the fuel / air is entering the crank case.
  10. Pick a price... Whatever you think the asking price for your bike should be, or what its worth to you. Then. tack on an extra $500, Total it up.... If you can sell it for that price, DO IT. If not, keep it and stack for a bike. Everything is for sale for the right price. Remember that!
  11. Ktm
  12. Your intake tract usually becomes a little oily anyway. (2 stroke) And I'm speaking from first hand experience nothing gets past my filter. Again, I'm not knocking any other brand, just defending the one I have used on everything with a motor since I was 14 years old.
  13. It does stick.... everytime, I promise. I know because I wash it out after every ride
  14. Meat, first off, :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: ^^^ He's the man! BUT! I disagree %110.... I know you have been around Meat but have you used a K&N for this stuff ever? Because I do and as long as I clean it thoroughly and oil it, with an outerwear.... Not a spec of anything is getting in my motor. I also use the sealant for where it seals onto the airbox..... I raced 2 hour long races with every type of granular there is floating around...... and after taking the carbs apart and not seeing a spec of anything in the carb bells, or bowls, I'm sold. Warnert Racing Rules ATV 4x4 Series with K&N Filters (Clifton Beasley at Unadilla ) http://www.knfilters.com/images/press/warnert6.jpg
  15. Hmmmm.... Maybe a company as large and successful as K&N knows how to make a good filter by now. If you use the oil and outerwear properly nothing is getting in your motor, period. Provided you claen and "Re Charge" like you should Uni's and foams are good to but your killing me with the K & N filter bashing, they could be the best filters made. They prove that in every race category there is. :geek:
  16. Outerwear :ninja:
