i am thinking about getting my jugs ported by herr and want to do their dune/hillshooter port job but.....besides going to the dunes i will be doing alot of trail riding how would this port do in the woods? i dont want to make it so i have to run high revs in the woods at all times just so it runs good thanks

first off drag porting SUCKS for duning what are you talking about he likes to trail ride and ride some gravel roads....get a trail port! if you were to dune ride (i know you dont) get a dune/agressive port or a dune/play port

tors are a just a piece of shit yamaha put on for safety reasons. (if your throttle sticks it cuts out the engine). if you dont have the money you can just unplug it BUT, they make a kit to get all the bullshit wiring off of the shee's also getting rid of the tors it makes it ALOT easier to pull the carbs to make adjustments or to clean. do yourself a favor go spend the $50 unhook the tors on the carbs throw them in the garbage, unhook the black box and disconnect the throttle wires and be done with it there junk they will cause you problems. the only thing you lose by elimating the tors is the headaches it will cause eventually.

well hell whenever a group of ya is going or something put up a post in the riding events section or something i think posting pictures is a good idea also. good to know fellow hg'ers go up to silver lake too. cant wait till it warms up.

its easy as hell just dont lose your jets and when you get them back together and on dont forget to hook your choke tube back up. use a fine piece of wire to clean out your jets and use a air compressor if you have one to blow air thru the carb.

i was wondering if anyone here on the hg ever goes up to silver lake sand dunes...if so me and my girlfriend are looking for some people to ride with since all of my friends are pussys and no one has a quad or dirtike. let me know if you would wanna be up at silver lake and raise some hell on the banshee's

ive got a citgo station by my house that sells 110 octane from a pump at around $3.50 a gallon when regular gas is at about $2.90 a gallon.....that place is packed on a nice weekend from people heading up to silver lake sand dunes, great gas for a great deal!

well i finally got ahold of ray and he said my silencers will be getting mailed out on wednesday.....thanks for everyone who replyed you were right ray did come through

if it were me i would also make sure my piolt's were clean....also make sure that your choke tube that connects the two carbs is connected mine did the same thing i pulled the carbs, cleaned them,and forgot to hook up the choke tube and she ran like shit backfiring but instead out of the left silencer

yeah i know you guys are probably right. but it seems like im always the one that gets fucked over on deals lol

i sent out payment to him for some silencers and its been 4 days since ive heared from him...he wont e-mail me back and i didnt get my silencers should i be concerned? has anyone had bad luck with him before? thanks guys

well i found a guy here on the hq that had some silencers that i wanted so, me and the seller settled on a price and everyting. well to make a long story short i sent out a cashiers check to him and now he wont e-mail me back or anything i havent heared from him in 4 days and i havent seen my silencers or anything what should i do. the guy seems to have a good reputation so i thought i would be safe. so for the hell of it i thought maybe he got sick or something so i sent him a e-mail under my girlfriends e-mail and he responded within minutes so i know hes seeing my e-mails. if you pm me il send you his name i know alot of you guys know who he is......any help would go good thanks

thats what i was thinking hell for free i should give it a try...well as soon as my damn silencers come in if the asshole ever ships them out. :mad:
