Awesome man. More power to you. Atleast you have the testicular fortitude to know you did wrong and you are doing something about it now. -

Nobody is faulting you for trying to make things right. What you are being attacked for is; even after you said you were here to make things right, and even sweeten the deal a little bit. You gave no answers or reply's to those folks that you already owed. Can you also explain why you go by a different name on E-Bay now? Why did you change it if you weren't trying to hide something? -
Wow those are sexy. I have been putting some serious thought into sending my motor to Cascade to get it polished like that. Damn they do a hell of a job! Good luck with the sale bro.

Dude for real though. Scott my man, this is exactly why I am afraid to go into business for myself. You have all of these people that basically backed you up and said you were a great guy and make a good product. Then you go and pull this? Come on man. You have just lost many customers. -

banshee for sale or trade
docjcwatson replied to Hilarious's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Damn man, I love that bike. I was going to trade you the '71 Oldsmobile for it. If you were willing of course. -
Hey peoples. I am on the hunt for a 130 link chain. I know they come in 120 or 150. I was hoping tha somebody maybe cut one to length already. Maybe is willing to trade me for a shorter one? I have a 128 link ZZZ x-ring chain(tensile strength is 11,000lbs). That is the same kind of chain that I am looking for. Doesn't have to be exact, just close to the same strength. So if anybody has one let me know and we can work something out!

Hey Kiel, I need a 130 link high tensile strength chain. Willing to trade you for a shorter one if need be. Have cash too though. Let me know bro. -
I am truly one that believes that you should be running, Hoosier slicks or American Racers, for asphalt. My gearing is 18/38 and I only have 20" for 1/8th mile. Anything else? Just ask!

It's a damn shame that bike can't be sold. She sure is sexy Kiel!

I know for a fact that most high HP cars at the strip don't like Holley's because of the float bowls and their position. When they and get the front wheels of the ground, they can starve them really bad.

That was my problem. I couldn't start it, so I couldn't burn the purge gas. Which inevitaebly points to alcohol still sitting in the system. I have no Idea what the timing is. I got it to run now. I just have to hold the throttle open further to get it to kick over. She runs a hell of a lot better now that it is broken in. Don't worry, you guys will get to see the break in pass here in the next week or two. Thanks for the advice though Loco. I'll have to call Lynn and see what he says about the timing. He is the one that told my to mix my shit that way.
-
Nevermind. I got it. I had to throttle it further. She runs like a raped date!

How far open should I be holding the throttle?

This is a fresh rebuild straight from LC Performance. I got the motor to start on Friday. Kicking it over a bunch of times and then finally it started right up. I go through all of my heat cycles that Lynn wanted me to. I drain the tank of the 32:1 Methanol/Klotz mix, and throw in the 18:1 93 oct/Yama2R mix. Nothing. The bike didn't want to start for anybody. So I brought it home and threw in the towel for the night. Woke up saturday morning to start at it again, same thing. Does not want to start. I realize that one of my PVL tabs had snapped off. I fix it. Still won't start. I drain the purge gas, and put the alky back in it. Nothing. Now it's either getting really hard to kick, or because I have been kicking all day, I am a weak bitch. So saturday night I had to leave it overnight again. I am about to push it into oncoming traffic, as soon as my right leg stops hurting. Mods; 14mil Cheetah 250R reeds 40mm Mikuni's (set up for Dumont. I am at sea level) PVL ignition I just changed plugs, so they should be good. I have spark because I checked. I am getting fuel because I can see it. If I had to guess, it honestly feels like I am not kicking hard enough to get the motor to spin. If you need any more info, let me know. P.S. How long can I keep leaving it overnight with alky in the system?

I thought that most drag strips would be privately owned. So the packet that I need filled, looks kinda like this; VIN number ____________________ Regristration (where required) _____________________ Insurance (where required) _____________________ So i'm going to hope to print out the Ohio state laws and carry them on me. Hopefully this will work because Ohio is where my drivers liscense is from. Thanks for the help on the VIN look up on the bike. I'll go locate it and get it off of there. By the way, the motor in the bike is not the original motor. So should I grab both numbers? Probably just incase somebody grabs up my bike and tries to part it huh?

I mean that it is Powdercoated over. I am not sure though. The frame has been lightened. So could it have been cut out?? It is custom. I am just not sure "how" custom. These are the new rules of the Corps. They have these things now that EVERY person who owns a motorcycle, dirt bike or atv have to be a part of. They call them "Motorcycle Clubs". Every single unit in the Corps is supposed to have one now. In order to be a part of it, you have to fill these forms out. On the form it is asking me for my info. I am not shitting you. I know it's BS. So I asked some questions and did some research today. Even though I can not get around the Motorcycle Club, I can try to get around the registration. I guess the ATV association in Ohio states that you have to register if you plan to use the ATV on any public land owned by the state. If you plan to use the ATV on privately owned land ONLY. Then you do not have to register at all. So here is the new dilema. I have an asphalt quad. Are drag strips private property? By the way. Thanks for helping me out on this guys!
-
Alright. Hear me out on this. I know a lot of you guys/gals might have come across this problem before. Here's a bit of background for you; in the Marine Corps, we have this stupid new rule, that states; all ATV riders will provide all documents that legalize their ATV in their state of residence. To include, the title and registration. (No i'm not a Marine, I just have to go by their rules). So here is my thing. The state that I will be moving back to is Ohio. So I would like to get my shee registered in that state. They say that in order to get it registered in the state. I need a title. I bought the bike used, with no title. The bike had already been powder coated once, so where is the VIN? So if there is no VIN, and no title, what do I do? I know somebody has come across this also. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yeah I forgot to mention that. I run asphalt. So for me the wheelie bar is going to be very important. Like mentioned above. A rear Marvin will do a lot of good for you if you choose no bar. Once I get my bike dialed in, I have a rear Marvin Shaw that I can throw on to try out some sand.
-
Wow! My motor buider has me gapping at .018. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get them bitches right? Lol. Mines on methanol though.
-
You get no squat on the rear end. That way you can get a better/harder launch. Mine also doubles as the mount for my wheelie bar.

Thanks for all the help guys! But Just so everybody knows. Sprocket Specialists Have everything for a 1987-1988 Banshee, to include 11-19 fronts and 37-74 rears. They also have 11-19 fronts and 38-74 rears for the 1989-2004 models. Their chart on their website is a little hard to read, but I found it.
