anyone tried the shift pro kit?? i have.. i put a modded star and the shift pro kit in my shee.. dam look out.. theres not another bike made that shifts this well.. shifts fast and effortless.. how about you guys? anyone tried these mods? my lady rides a shee with a motofast 2 into 1 pipe.. i ground down her shift star myself( and did a great job if i might add) and also ground some of the spring down( about 40% around the outside edge) and her shee shifts almost as well a mine, but is does shift great.

that crank was not welded but should have been.. the crank in my cub motor is welded.. and yes you have to take the crank out to weld it.. it is a great thing to do.. the stress put on these motors crankshafts is unreal.. it is the pin that holds the rods on the crankshaft that is welded.. it is pressed in from the factory but the crank can twist ang get out of true under power and rpm and cause havoc.. you will understand when u see one.. hope this helps..

you have a banshee!! it screams and spins like no other.. go with the ohtsu radials ( they are stock on a 400ex) the hook like no other.. they do tend to wear more but damn hold your ass.. when you ride with them on there you will never buy another type of tire again. TRUST ME!!

i ran 19cc domes in mine with the timing bumped up +4.. ran 93 pump gas and it screamed.. ran that motor for about 5 years no problems.. and i am talking 5 years on the same top end.. i rum amsoil 50:1 and i will say its the best oil i have ever used..

heres from my experience.. my trail riding and hill climbing are also hand in hand.. i have used a stocker, +2 and a +4 all of witch i still own.. the +2 gets the all around great for me.. it handles ok (basically like stock) and still hooks well and keeps the fron end down when i want.. i can still ride a wheelie when i want also.. it gives me the control i want.. i weigh about 180

well does anyone have a set of stock cylinders for sale??
-
uhh sounds like trouble to me.. i would say that if u want reverse buy a newer 4 stroke, and while you are backing up you can eat my roost..
-
i have had my shee ( with old stock motor) start backwards.. i gave it a quick kick and it must have kicked back and started.. i noticed it ran like shit so i let the clutch out and it was running backwards.. of course the timing was waaay slow.. scared the shit outta me.. i would think that the engine almost stopping and kicking backwards would be hard on piston skirts, rods and so on.. also what about the water pump??
-
well not to get it to run cooler. to raise the compression.. you can have the stock head shaved..
-
how about a head with 19 or 20cc domes.. also v force reeds.. thosw will help a lot.. boost bottles are a waist of aluminum..hope this helps

my gearing is 14 41 so maybe if i went to a 13/42 and maybe bump the timing up?? it is set at +5 on my cub.. i have heard you are suppose to run higher timing on a cub motor but i am not sure?? any info??

i am in kentucky.. i am assuming our alt is close.. is there a head on the motor and stock carbs?? i would throw a 270 or so in it.. just my 2cents -
i am new to the forum so i will try to register on planetsand.. i appreciate the help. but damn this cub makes a lot of top end power.. i am a weekend warrior.. i trail ride mostly and put a spankin on the 4 strokes that want to drag race.. my buddy has a stock cylinder setup. all he has is pipes and a fresh topend.. stage 4 trinity pipes.. i jetted the stock carbs, ground the shift star and spring and he handed a honda 450r its has in a drag race.. man that guy was pissed.. different strokes for different folks

hey thanx, hard to imagine that you can turn this thing ino a trail motor though.. what pipes couldi run then?? how about i make you a great deal on a cub setup, pistons, dome, stud extenders and all.. the cylinder is polished like chrome too..!!
-
i have a +4 on mine and trail ride and hillclimb.. i hate the +4.. its comin off and i have a +2 thats going on.. i like the +2 its perfect for playing around and hill climbing. what do u guys think?
-
do you think putting my t5's on the cubs will help with trail riding ( low end and mid pull) i had cpi inframes
-
i can do engine cases, swing arms, a arms(except stock) lever, shifters, cylinders, heads, anything except frames (oven not big enough) let me know what u got.. later
-
i had the same problem with those intakes.. the spacer that has the crossover tube can be removed.. thats what i did.. i removed the spacer and it allowed room for the stock air box.. it is tight but works. let me know what u end up doing

i have a 68mm stock stroke cub for sale.. i sent it off and had it professionally polished, it comes with a modquad head, domes 20cc, and piston and rings and the stud extenders.. it is in like new shape.. i am going back to stock cyliners for trail riding, i also have a set of cpi in frame pipes for sale and a lonestar +4 swingarm that is also like brand new. everything except the pipes has about 5 rides on it.. make an offer on something.. i also have a set of new 33 pwk's i am thinking of selling if they are too big for a stock cylinder setup..
-
well if you decide to go that way i have a nice set of cp small bore inframes i was using on my cub motor.. i am going back to woods riding so the cub is for sale also.. i will make someone a great deal on it.. i had the cub polished also.. it looks sweet.. i have a polished cub cylinder, head with big bore domes, and pistons.. its in great shape with very little time on it( just this summer about 5 rides) make me an offer
-
hey guys. off subject.. i have a 68mm cub stock stroke.. 33 pwk's.. i haaate thins thing in the trails.. i had a stock cyl stock port and cab setup with timing, t5's, head.. was an awesome hard pulling snappy motor.. i am going back to that setup but with the 33 pwk's.. do u think the stock carb would be better for power and that snappy motor i am after? oh yeah.. i would use the wiseco's i think the prices are about the same anyway
-
in my opinion. a cast piston is a good stock replacement.. if you plan on pipes, head, timing(especialy timing) then go with a good forged piston, as they are mor up to the higher rpms, higher heat and so on.. i hope this helps.. its always a personal prefernce but i stick wih wiseco, no horror stories here on the wiseco's .. cheers
-
WISECO!! why?? because i have ran them for years and never a problem.. i heard bad things on wsm and especially vitos pistons.. a buddy of mine ran vitos several times.., they alway let him down and trashed his cylinders
