perhaps you can have them welded? ask local shops if they specialize in welding CAST ALUMINUM. feel out your answer, if it dont sound right dont let them weld your shit. if the crack is a hairline you might be able to get away with powdercoating them. i dont know how far pc would go as to seal cases but i imagine if the pc was done good it could work since its resistant to oil and gas. -

well first, get rid of the TORS. heres chase's link. the goddamn tors removal thread next id say check over all your chassis bearings for wiggles and fix any ou find, cheap fix with long term ridability. wont burn up your mod budget. i cant suggest anything on the pipes because im not a duner, but for a mildly stock banshee id recomend FMF fattys with -2 or 3inch silencers. go with K&N pods and a rejet and you should notice a decent pickup on your midrange and a fair top end. people bag on FMF's but why spend the big bucks on dragish pipes without the internals to support them? -

just got "let go" today. 1 fucking day before my 3 month probationary period was to come around. the reason? they couldnt make one up in 30 seconds i can tell you that much.... i counted the FUCKING seconds after i asked... it just so happens that every motherfucking job i get and go to and work hard at, i lose. apparently i dont know how to fuck the dog enough for the like of the modern day working world. just my fucking luck guys.... on the bright side, i picked up my cases from glass blasting today they are so clean i thought they were fucked up when i first saw the guy bring them out. $150 for glass beading my baked dirt greasy old ugly ass woodsin cases and clutch cover, daaaaaaaaamn does it look pimpin tho. ill post up a pic of 2 later tonight i see some funny marks on the lower case where the tranny gears go, id like to think its just bad casting mabye? anyone else have thin crack like stuff in their bottom case? it almost looks like the moving oil has worn it..... or something of the like. (i think i hear murph knockin again i cant get away that lucky....) -to the guys who do powdercoating as you know im just beginning but, would the shit that didnt come off make a difference or should powder bake right over it? if glass beading wouldnt take it off why not? im going to drop off my jugs monday mornin for the same treatment. glass bead and a hone job. anyway i had to vent about getting fired by a fat cunt and loosing a job i strived to work hard at.... total bullshit the hard working honest employees always lose to the idiot ones who run the place and never speak to the little guys. horseshit.

i cant sell it half assed. i COULD stick it togeather one piece with what i have and call it tickity boo sold to you. but would you want something like that? sure the billet is nice. i have owned this bike for about 5 years now and basically rode it right 3 times when i was younger before i did dumb things and lost it neglected it had other things to do. then right when im at a point in life (having a real job and paying my own bills. it blows up. i unlock a whole bunch of bad inside shit for what should have only been a piston rings top end to a sloopy existence..... i was TOLD it was 4 mil. so it will be one. now that i read it the billet is a bit overboard i see what your sayin. the brake lever will go with a brand new msr shorty i have. my bars are fucked. its a replacement, but it goes with the bars i gotta get anyway. aside from that it needs a head anyway. nice frame dude. -
so, im probley gonna end up trading my banshee. but for the most parts it more like "put teh fucking thing togeather in decent servicable condition. heres a list of shit. -crank is fucked. previous owner only rebuilt one side on a thrown rod..... idiot. (looking for a 4mil guys) -head has all kinds of nasty marks. looking for a coolhead. (fast) -i need a new clutch and billet basket with both hubs. gonna throw in a pancake too while im there. (fast) -chain and sprokets. 13tooth front with ? rear???? im running 20" (shoot me an idea) -brakes are fucked all around including the lines. ill replace them with SS. -i need some billet foot controls to replace the shit i fucked. including the kicker. -gaskets. -bars. -a twist throttle. -a billet front brake lever. stocker is bent fucked. -swinger rebuild kit. having it cut to -2 -axle bearings. -front a-arms upper and lower. aftermarket used. OR home built. anyone got plans for some? -tie rods. -the frame needs finishing. like more cutting and welding. -sandblast and shave all plastics. -totally rewire. -bore carbs..... everyone hates a sleeper. -pistons. -pods -used stator cover. the stocker will do. UNCUT. i need some advice on motor. im going to rebuild as a stock ported .80 over 4 mill with a coolhead. -what domes should i be running for sea level - 500 feet? -how big can you bore stock mikunis? can they go to 30mm? -fuck i need a stator and adjustable timing plate too..... anyone? is a degree key any use with this? anyway. i may sell the machine when im done..... id hate to but. ya know. at least with what i buy to get it in respectable condition again is good reason to go farther. jeff buddy if you read this pm me a quote on whatever parts you have that i need. ill be buyin the whole shebangs if i can.

yeap. the term is called dieseling. the heat int eh cylinder combined with compression will ignite the particles as fast as they can. i have owned many a chainsaw that kept WFO. but with them it doesnt matter anyway, its called productivity :happy: to fix this? start with a leakdown test and post your results.

loco, you are my hero hahaha 80w is a little heavy. unless your running an abuser use 10w30. even if you think it sucks. the forums are getting into i use and its better lately. its bullshit. the people that know arent getting listened to. now, i have never adjusted at the adjuster but i can tell you that turning out your perch adjuster will get your actuator arm lined up with the pointer on it and the case. do this. -
i have actually seen a wooden carb top on a 78 honda 50..... i would have not said boo about getting a billet carried and stainless brake line over a tors kit haha and thirdly, i never ordered anything from alba but i frankly dont think there stuff is all that shit hot anyway. cascade is another story, they have some niiiice parts. but then again, the little guys you find here and there always have the nicest things. id tell em to send what they got now and send the clamps as soon as they come in they should have told you their shipping problems beforehand. cunts.

what is tig welding?? sorry for the threadjack.... but it seems alot of you are pretty knowledgable on this. is there a welder that does all from regular farm mechanic stick welder (for the big heavy broken shit) to popcans. i actually have seen someone weld a popcan before im pretty sure it was tigged. you need a tig welder to do aluminum correct? cannot be done with a mig wire feed?

i hope you take heed my advice. when buying tools, why look down the road and say oh ill get better, you arent supposed to grow out of tools, tools are supposed to grow with you so when you buy then you buy bigger than you need or better. then you have no worries about a useless insignifigant tool. get the gas welder. lincoln electric all the way. you can still use regular flux core wire in them and weld without gas if you like, but for nicer jobs you can keep your gas around the shop and USE it with regular wire for a nicer weld? see what im saying? you can do ALL the jobs with a gas welder instead of half the jobs with a totally gassless one. the extra investment will be worth it believe me, just dont waste your gas and wire welding up someone elses junk if it dont need to look pretty then why make it pretty at a cost to you? atv frames will look twice as good welded with gas IMO than non gas and you dont have to be hammering on your welds to chip them.

so pc wont hold up on pipes eh? is there high heat pc? what about flash curing it at a higher initial temperature and curing the flow out on a lower temperature?

my grandmother bought mine for me about 6 years ago, it had gernaded, then the guy i bought it from bought it and "fixed" it. (only rebuilt one side of the crank.... idiot.) since then it has gotten a few things. just minor upgrades as far as teh shee goes. i had too much fun at the time riding to be bothered with upgrade dough, i just burnt gas money. 6 years later, its finally blew up because of the un-new side of the crank being over worn, i scuffed up a piston pretty bad. now its apart everywhere, and causing me to begin my life in a smarter direction that drugs and waste. i got a powdercoating gun to refinish and bling everything, i have a shed framed up (waiting on some money to wall it in and put a roof on it) once thats done, i guess the banshee has a home and space to come togeather in as well as a place for me to practice powdercoating skills and tinker on things as well as kick back listen to the radio and drink beer by the little woodstove.... Banshee owners always have to be a couple steps ahead of their game. I wouldnt own any other wheeler for goin fast thats for sure. Mabye a 4 poker for trailriding

ok i bought er unpacked er and got everything started up, i set up my gamer profile and machine blah blah blah. shit deal here is i cant get an ip and get my 360 online. do you have to sign up for live for this? i have the membership but i figured a device like that just connects like a normal computer.

so i have some gunk brand engine brite. if i soak the cases down in this and then pressure wash them off what may rust? is there anything on split cases you guys suggest i remove? anything that perhaps cant be removed and is not oil carrying or lubricated should dry out in an oven corrosion free right?
