  1. definitley lookin better then before bub  dudes got big tires cause he knows what hes talkin about, paddles get eaten, 4snos dissappear, razrs suck, klaws = shit. them vampires are the only way to go in coal country eh? just a thought, but bearclaws might be lighter. they come in 2 ply
  2. I think it looked ghey as michael jackson, stupid concept. if there going to build a 500 4 stroke, it WONT be in a banshee platform! WHY!?? -because the banshee chassis is a straight liner, a fast bike. no 4 stroke will work in it, its a smokin design. ill walk up the front steps of yamaha head office and drop my stock parts on their steps and spit on them if they ever redesign the banshee. my opinion of a banshee redesign would be the cheap one, a 600cc top end on banshee cases and guts. canyamagine?
  3. neither do i lol definitly go with the 4mil, or the 7 i dont think it requires case trenching
  4. i dont know about K&N's in sand without bags, BUT for what may get THROUGH them, hell itll probley burn up im sure you could size up some foam pods. i have the toomey intake if your interested, it will need a filter from them.

  10. i was supposed to bring my camera i but holy. id hate to see a pretty chopped frame get touched up top of the rad. i bet if i roll mine from the looks of it the whole thing will collapse upside down. almost guarentee it, even. but thats the trade off im willing to make to have more "spring" in my shees "step" lol

  15. ditto. bolt on fix for me almost.... whatcha got? :geek:
  16. lets see a pic of the inside of that cage........ sho us the cage dude the cats outta the bag, dave got more parts.
  17. i never read the last page im trying for 500 posts this morning haha but yea man i catch whats being said. 4 stroke guys are allllways blah bla blah a buddy of mine ran out and bought the KTM right. week later me other buddy rides said KTM and goes out, sells his 2 year old honda 450 for the new KTM, now both of them are stock thumpers. (nice thumpers, i WILL admit.... but only because KTM is where the fuck its at and always has been... can you imagine a KTM banshee challenger? if it was built?) anyway there BOTH baggin on me cause i have the old banshee that cant. and it will be done by summer. and i will roost the paid of em. o got 2 smoking oily exhaust pipes and the residue should cover orange plastic nicely.
  18. i got tired of reading but yea, pretty nasty failure id say as soon as i read copper i thought rod..... go through the procedure in the clymer starting with the top end in frame, check your cylinders first and have them serviced accordingly. same goes for your head it may be ll marked up from piston chunks. from there on id go into splitting the cases, along the way find out why your kickstart wont work. perhaps a worn out idler bushing. then your going to be splitting the cases. sorry suse same thing happened to me, sometimes total maitenance misses bad things. run in bearings can cause disasters. have your crank checked for excessive runout if the bearings arent shot, your going to need new big end bearings anyway because of the lockup and the fact you found metal. your tranny and clutch side assemblies should be fine since the metal came out of the exhaust chamber, but like i said. check idler gear bushing and your kickstart assembly. you will inevitabley need, a rebuild kit according to your bore. possibbly a crank rebuild (time for that stroker or rebuild your stock one with longrods and the 795 pistons from wiseco. you will also need a clutch side gasket and idler gear fix. everything can be ordered from jeff @ FAST. F.A.S.T. RACING[/url'] sorry never read your last post, as far as cost goes jeff can probley hoo you up with a 4 mil hotrods stroker for about the same it would cost to have your crank rebuilt with the longrods (for use with 795 pistons i believe the 4mil stroker needs these too tho) you MAY get your grank rebuilt a shade cheaper tho. the advantage of running longrods is less side load on your pistons.
  19. yea wernt you having a problem running dry just a little while ago? do you have a compression tester, you might have toasted your TE. after that id say you need a good look at jetting with spotless carbs and filters. you said the problem started going uphill at full throttle id say your runnin dry and that could have had an effect on compression, especially if it leaned out after running smack on already warmed up. hot metal expands, engine leans out metal gets hotter faster all of a sudden and wears out due to already being warm.
  20. im redoing my top end and i plan on having the cylinders honed. i scuffed a piston is teh reason for the rebuild. from looking at the displacement chart i believe my piston size is 75 x stock stroke for a cc of 477.1 am i right on that? my question is what the fuck am i building? can someone tell me what i have to tell the shop to do to my cylinders as far as a hone goes? what size pistons will i need to use on the rebuild? just to clarify, the ones that came out have 75 stamped into them.
  21. dont worry im not going to port my cylinders, i learned something a while back about thhe "right tool for the job" what i am doing is cleaning up my frame and lightening it, just needing bit advice on cutting down welds and shaping them. i know theres gotta be a better bit than an alum. oxide grinding stone. it does the trick but not effectivly enough. are there steel cutters?
  22. your totally right, if anything the banshee name should be retired if production of it stops. fuckin rights
  23. where might i be able to find a grinding bit big enough to shape and contor for grinding metal? almost like routering edges. what kind of bit would have to be used in machining edges with a dremel? are they powerful enough?
  24. send me a pic of them barz dood.
  25. what im looking for -bone + linkage kit -swingarm pivot kit -billet arm dust caps and a set of the delron bushings -rear shock bushing kit that about dooezit guys. altho i may also need new front wheel bearings fo both sides along with seals. please pm me basically the whole rear end is shot besides my axle bearings thank fuck.
