  1. i always coat the cylinders with a little engine oil b4 sliding them on the pistons? anyone else do this?
  2. i never heard any bads about the ebc clutches, if they're cheap enough gettem,, i just got the Tusk's clutches not too long ago from rocky mountain and they're great so far no problems, and they were only $44.99 with heavy duty springs, just a thought
  3. I'm lookin for a stock stroke crank, condition? and price shipped to 16845
  4. did you sell the crank? i didn't see it on there, whats the shipped price if you still have it
  5. I had the same problen getting mine to start, after about a day of kicking and tearing apart the carbs a few times, i went to the clymer bible,, hold it wide open till it starts, worked for me, good luck man!
  6. Well i know how you goes are completely against it, but i also read on here that nobody wants to work off of someone else's porting, i have done some porting b4 and it turned out pretty good, i do have the right tools, and i do know what it takes to make it work, i might not no the words for it but, i can do it! i know you guys will critisize me but um really confident i can do it and i'm not gonna make it any worse than it already is, so with that said save the laughing for when i show you the finished work lol and keep in mind this is my 1st banshee port! but not my first or last port, um not gonna go wild on it just enough to clean up the one thats already ported, and match my unported cylinder to it, if you guys have any ideas feel free to throw them out there
  7. well just for shits n giggles i tore my reed cages apart to look for leaks, and when i was lookin in the intake of the jugs i notice that the left side was slightly ported, i believe it's the boost port that has the most taken out of it but, it is all ported enough to notice it by eye. And the right cylinder is stock! no porting at all! someone must have bought 1 new jug and never looked at it b4 i bought it, might explain why the left side was fucked up when i bought it? you would think that the guy i took it to would have notice it before i put new everything in it, crank, rods, bearings, bore, pistons, ect. 1300$ worth anyway, i'll never take it to a garage again, i will do it all myself, if i would have known how simple these motors are i would have! so i exspect the ported side would have been running lean right?
  8. yeah man, let us know how it turns out,
  9. well, if you have the 25 and the 30 jets, and you have bits that fit them,, just find the bit thats in between them and it should work till you get your new 27.5, might not be exact but who knows it might be better! lol good luck
  10. i need the boots for the reed cages that the cross-over tube connects to, what kind of condition are they in, and how much shipped? also what would you want for the crank if it's good? shipped thanks man
  11. i was thinkin when the rod started to go, all the shavings went up in there and caused all the scratches, then when the rod finally popped it didn't do it any justice, all i know is um gonna redo it one more time and if i have more problems you guys will have some parts up for grabs! lol too much of a moneypit for me, but i do luv the power! when um not working on it lol
  12. i was running yamalube 32:1
  13. this is exactly what i wasn't lookin for after a complete top and bottom rebuild, this is the left side, right side is great!! possibly a crank seal? it was about 20 degree's F pretty sad given the fact there's only about 5 hours on it, surprisingly the cylinder still looks good,, not so good for the new crank tho it won't let me load any pics! wtf? well what would make the rod peel off the crank? lol
  14. what kind of shape is it in? can i put it right in, or is it gonna need bearings? i am very interested! i gotta wait a couple weeks for when i get paid, what year banshee is it out of? thanks
  15. ok, hit me with a price! um not rich! lol
  16. i need a crank and rods,, must be in good condition, and reasonably priced! thanks, would like pics, no junk! i have enough of it! lol
  17. you said you have a new hot rods crank right? is it stock stroke? do you have the rods? what are you asking for the crank and rods? thanks!
  18. I used GS27 polish, it's for scratched paint and polishing bumpers, i was amazed! worked pretty good with alot of elbo grease
  19. i dunno, my shee must be an oddball! i had 240's in it and it seemed to run great,, but i wanted to try 280's so i put them in and it ran like shit, so i put the 240's back in and it runs great, i dunno like i said my shee is an odd one
  20. when i was restoring my 88 i tried to get the swing-arm bolt out to change the bushings and bearing, and couldn't get it to budge, i even smacked it with a 2 pound sledge hammer and still nothing!,, so i gave up on it till now and was wondering if someone can give me some ideas? is there a certain way it needs to be done? or could it be that the bolt it's self is wore beyond repair? any tips will help! thank fellas
  21. i bought some j-arms off of him and and had them within a week of sending out my payment!! he's fast! thanks a million Bill!
  22. everyboby has they're own oppinion on this issue! but the fenders do help! not alot tho,, after you hit a nice size mud hole get off and look under your fenders just to see what they actually do!, and remember all thats under your fenders would have been on you! lol and in my own opinion i like the stock look,, seems like every Shee you see these days have cut fenders,, the only reason i would cut mine is if i wrecked it and snapped one off, then it would be time to cut!! lol this is just my theory tho
  23. I used to used it back in the day in my KDX 80, and my YZ 125, and never had any issues,, but i don't think i'd attempt it with my shee,, way too much money involved in this case!,, but if i had absolutely no choice i would make sure to mix it RICH!
  24. if my ears were ticklin your inner thighs,, would you hold it against me? lmao it worked!
  25. thanks alot Bansh-eman! i called they yamaha dealer and they're actually cheaper than the banshee fibers! by about 5-6 dollars! sweet! oh and after i told him what i wanted them for he said they wouldn't work!! hahahaha imagine that! typical
