  1. Ok thanks for the heads up, I’ll get some new caps
  2. I bought a new meter just for this project so I’d hope that has nothing to do with it
  3. My questions are: how do I test my spark plug caps? And should I fork out 400$ for a oem stator? Or are there any aftermarket stators that are good? Thanks for any help.
  4. I recently purchased a banshee with some electrical issues. I bought it from a old friend that got it a few years ago, I rebuilt it a couple years ago for him and it was never ran by looking into the spark plug holes. It looks like he put a new stator on it but when I tested it it went up to around 19.00 but settled down to 13 ohms which Is no good, I tested the coil without the caps and it tested good but I can’t get a reading with the caps on? I checked for continuity through the caps and got nothing? Is that normal for the caps or should I buy new ones? I tested the cdi on a buddy of mine and it had spark so I’m guessing it’s good. I found a few spots in the harness that was cut and patched them up and cut the tors wiring off right where they y off the harness? I been debating on buying a new harness off eBay that is already clean up? Anyone try one yet? I haven’t been on HQ in a few years because I sold my old banshees but regretted it! I dislike electrical issues but wanted another banshee and got a great deal on it so here I stand lol should I buy new spark plug caps? Stator? Wiring harness?
  5. I need a left side stock cylinder to finish my build. If you have an extra left side cyl at 64.50 bore that would be great, even a pair would be good, let me know what you have and a price, been out of the HQ circle for about 5 years now and its good to be back!
  6. I recently picked up a 89 250r which is becoming a money pit, it has a keihin carb on it but i could use some help to know the size, i'm pretty sure it's a airstriker,, the numbers on the side are PWK 00AAMG the second A has a box around it. Another question i have is, i got a cylinder off ebay thats ported by LRD and the piston that came with it is a pro-x with a 2.25 stamped on it, my question is how far can you bore a stock 250r cylinder? and will i need to rejet for the swap from a stock port, stock bore cylinder? i never owned a 250r so i'm new, i know it's not a banshee but it's still a really nice 2 stroker
  7. Yea thats what i was afraid of,, thanks alot for the info
  8. My friend brought me his shee to fix cause he said his clutch was all messed up, i tore it apart having a good idea of what it was. The problem is that i can't get the damn clutch rod out or the clutch pull shaft, the clutch puller will move a hair and with a screwdriver in the rod hole i can feel it move a hair as well,,, My question is,, is there any way to get them out without taking the cases apart? any tips would be greatfully appreciated. This happened cause he ran out of gas and he got it pulled home,, he had no back brakes and thought he could use the gears and clutch
  9. i need one that isn't cracked and don't leak, i can't find one on ebay just the billet covers, if anyone could help me out it would be great,, give me a shipped price to 16845 cheap
  10. That sound good, let me know how much. Shoulda been around sunday,, we were climbing the valley! haha i think that's where it got bent
  11. After a day of riding and hillclimbing,, i got home and noticed i had a bent tie rod, then noticed the ends are shot.. My question is,,,, will warrior or any other quad tie rods match up? just tryin to save some cash! (currently unemployed) thanks for any info
  12. My friend has a ltr 07 with a cherry bomb, white brothers exhaust, air lid removed, When i had my gearing of 13-42 he could hang with me till 5th then i'd get about 3 bikes on him,, now that i switched to 15-38 gearing he stays with me till 3rd then i just blow him away his 5th is like my 3rd gear.. I did all my own work to mine and learned alot from this site! DG pipes, shaved head, home clean-up ported cylinders, pro-series reeds, stock carbs jetted, 20-11-9 razr 6 ply The only machine that i've lost to was a not stock at all 700 Raptor, b4 i switched my gearing i was with him till i had to leave off the throttle, Those rappy's will go forever! but with the new gearing i think i can take him ,, i'll keep you guys filled in tho
  13. I am lookin for a shift drum plate, lower left a-arm with good ball-joint, rear master cylinder, could also use some decent front shocks,, not lookin to spend alot. Thanks HQ'ers
  14. I honed it myself, and i didn't hone it alot, just enough to get the glaze off, the namura's seemed to fit tighter than the wiseco's did, i dunno, whats the squish supposed to be? i'll have to check it i guess,, thanks again guys
  15. no i didn't, whats the easiest way? wouldn't think they would make pistons that different from one another?
  16. you gotta keep those cob-webs blown out! sounds like plugs to me, if i just putt around on mine it does it too, gotta open her up once in a while man, just my opinion tho, good luck!
  17. I recently busted a skirt on one of my wiseco's and decided to try the namura piston kit just for shits and giggles. With the wiseco's i was at about 135-140 psi, when the skirt broke one was still 135 and the other was 120 psi. When i put the Namura's in i got 120 psi on both cylinders, and yes they were honed. This just don't make any sense to me, anyone else have the same issue or know why this happened? thanks in advance for the info HQ oh and yes i did clean out the crank case
  18. I've never conversed with you on here b4, but i do listen to what you have to say on all your posts! yes it will be good practice for welding, and it is just a tinker project, thanks for the support
  19. No i'm not tryin to match them up to the T5's, like i said they're no good for anything and i just have to much free time on my hands. The ones that monster posted a pic of are actually alot different than what i was thinkin, when my friend brings them down i'll start on them. but if i f#$! them up i'll just throw them away no big deal! if they turn out ok i'll post the pics
  20. yeah thats sorta what i was thinkin about! thanks alot for the pic monster!
  21. Yeah lol i do have way too much time on my hands, currently unemployed which is holding me back on my shee mods. so i figured since i have a welder and cutting tools and a good idea why not! haha
  22. My friend just got T5's to rplace his stockers and i was lookin into cutting them up and try to customize them into a drag pipe. I think if you start with the left pipe on the right and the right on the left, after cutting and figuring out the dimensions of course,, it might be possible!,,, i was just wondering if anyone has tried it?
  23. I might be interested in the shocks, any pics? are these shipped prices? 16845 zip code thanks!
  24. how much for a swing-arm bolt and nut shipped to 16845? possibly with good bearings?
