  1. Well he's in Wisconsin. (If your right about Cali, then I stand corrected.) I was cited for a party that was too loud once. (Law read that making too much noise = 100+db at my property line.) I went to court and cross examined the cop and asked to see the db reading he took. He obviously didn't have a db meter, so no readings were taken. I produced a db meter I bought at Radio Shack and asked why the cop didn't have one like I did. How he could judge db readings without one?......."Do you issue tickets for speeding without radar too?" I informed the judge that every 10db = a doubling of sound, so being off by just 10 points can mean a lot. Since the cop had no evidence and the law clearly listed the parameters of what loud was, I was cleared of the charge. If they require a db limit and spark arrestors....they would need to check both to issue a ticket for both. The law can be enforced any way a cop chooses, but it's on us to hold their feet to the fire when it's our day in court.
  2. That was one hell of a run-on sentence there Wes. LOL Did you click my link in the post above? Evan was willing to do exactly what you were recommending. So you don't have to risk anything. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=157853 This Mike guy from Ricky Stator says "It's a rough crowd"...........Yeah, like it's tough to pick up a date when your trolling a rape therapy meeting. LMAO I'm still waiting for him to "Clear up our misconceptions". I think we ALL have a pretty accurate conception.
  3. It warms my heart to see So Many fellow site members that are able to agree on something. That doesn't happen much as we all know. LOL But that speaks VOLUMES to the level of epic fail that Ricky Bobby Stator has done to this community over the years.....and the total devastation they have done to their own reputation.
  4. Gary is well known for taking care of fellow site members so they wouldn't have to take the Ricky Bobby Stator challenge. And Evan offers a new unit that is top quality too. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=157853
  5. Here is all people need to know about finding a good stator. Note to Ricky Bobby Stator : This is how it's done.... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=157853
  6. Anyone with a stator that failed was given the chance to push or tow their ride back to the truck while cursing your company. Then they got to pull their nerfs, healguards, shifter, sidecover, flywheel and finaly their brand new Ricky Stator...... Then (if it had failed close enough to the original purchase date) they could get another replacement Ricky Stator with all the same quality control issues as the last one, re-assemble everything and roll the dice hoping that one would last more than a couple rides. Once this issue was widely seen as Chronic...sites like this shared that info with it's members. Lesson learned. Now other than young kids buying stuff off the internet not nowing better, most of the Banshee community knows better. Do you know how many people have ended up buying and swaping CDI's and coils thinking that was the issue.....because it couldn't possibly be the stator, since theirs was brand new? Don't tell me that 20 years in business = Quality McDonalds has been selling chicken nuggets for just as long. But that don't make it good chicken...
  7. And duners. I usualy leave the parking lot with lights on.
  8. So.......years of pushing junk into the market. A long history of new stators failing very quickly. Endless reviews from unhappy people. Most posts with electrical problems have people asking "Do you have a Ricky Stator?" as one of the first things they try to eliminate..... And your just going to post that you "Changed all the features that people complained about"? Like what? Care to elaborate? When did these changes take place? What kind of deals/warrantys do you now offer with your new and improved product? You gotta do more than just come here and basically say My Bad.........(at least that's my opinion.)
  9. Turbine cores will work with fattys. No cop can issue a sound violation ticket without testing your machines db output with a sound meter. Well...they can. But you'll win in court. We have a full dune ported 370 long rod motor and I have fattys with turbine cores. I've been tested by DNR twice. Run that combo and you'll be under the db levels you mentioned.
  10. And it's bent now, so you need a new one for sure. Sorry for the bad news....but that's why they say use the right tool for the job. Now you can bust dad's chops about it. LOL
  11. This would be a good time to point out that it's lucky that when you all came up with this drunken concept...........that you were drinking from cans, not bottles. LOL. carry on
  12. ....and your open drag pipes. LMAO
  13. REDLINE X5 - He's looking for a trail bike...not a drag cylinder. Cam can hook him up with what he's looking for. (Or build him a killer dragger. LOL)
  14. Any added hours at the dunes is a plus. (Especially with the Government trying to close places.) I'm thankful that we're moving forward here...not backward. So, with the clarification on driving age.... I guess my daughter (15) is going to have to wait another year before she can pilot the truck at the dunes. She'll have to stick to the Banshee with her riding permit for now.
  15. If your just doing a re-build, you could go with the Vito's Super Stock pistons. They have a lowered edge on the exhaust side that simulates mild porting. (Acts like the exhaust port was raised) They will gain you 7HP. (You can call Vito's about jetting recommendations to re-jet for the added power.)
  16. You would need two and the cost would be almost the same. Just buy the Turbine core silencers and you'll be set. They don't hurt performance, so you can just run them all the time and sell the turbo cores you have and it will end up costing you less in the long haul over rigging the old oval "Turbo Sparky Spark Arrestors" onto your pipes. Less chance of them getting damaged or stolen too. Turbine cores FTW!
  17. Originally done by K&T...but redone by somebody better with more experience???? WTF? That dude knows just enough to ruin his own sale.
  18. Yeah it's called Turbine Core Silencers.
  19. Badlands off-road park in Attica Indiana.
  20. Oh, my bad. Yeah each item entering will need some stickers. If an ATV or truck is going out on the dunes it will need a State Park sticker and ORV sticker. If your parking the truck in the parking lot, it will just need a state park sticker. Parking lot voucher (For most weekends you will want to have a vehicle parked in the voucher line by 5:00 Friday, to get a Saturday parking voucher) Or, if your rig is going out on the sand (your quad in the bed of your truck) you can get a dune ready voucher and drive right in. It goes pretty smooth if someone who knows the system guides you thru it once, or at least explains it all in detail. I just tell people to join in with us and do what we do. LOL LMS1977 and special06shee (Mike and Bucky) are from PA (Coal hill climbers) and talking about coming west and joining us for a ride this year. You know either of them?
  21. See dents and destruction to rig after a full day of action and.........drink till your HAMMERED?
  22. People are always saying eating too much bacon can kill ya. Here is proof that Bacon kills!
  23. So your not going to take any measurements or even post a pic................. Good luck with that. As you were.
  24. King of the hammers? Sounds more like a speed carpentry contest. What is the hammer reference as it relates to hill climbing? (Asked by a guy with a vanity plate that says "HAMR DWN")
