OEM stator rewind vs Ricky Stator
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to tdod101's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Umm.....yeah. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=165626 -
Like what? Hey your pipes didn't perform like you thought .... so go drop another $10,00 to $20,000 on new molds and try again? (That's not going to happen.) Or maybe try and tell Mat to compete with Sniper QC by turning his entire production pipe process into a hand welded one at a time process like Sniper? (He can't make them fast or cheap enough if he goes that route.) I don't think anyone has tried to "Run Sniper out of business." But when your business model is to come out and claim King of the Mountain....then you better back that claim up. They would do far better by promoting just what the pipe likes as far as motor designs and hope people try the pipe. (Most people will never dyno or even drag race, so they really wouldn't have a clue if their pipes were really good or not.) But if they ran 80% as good as other pipes and looked good, they would have happy customers. Instead Gary boasts too hard, talks smack and then bails on proving it in a side by side race with the very guy he's bashing. The part your missing is.....nobody has even mentions Sniper outside of the few posts that are filled with all the bashing. So sadly the only publicity he's getting is negative. But negative attention is at least attention. Eventually as you can see people will want to try them just to see how bad they really are and prove it for themselves. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism for this topic.....Gary, find your place in the industry. (Market to bling bike builds thru Cascade) Your spot is not at the top. You can have a piece of the sales pie, but your not the whole pie and the pie is never going to be re-named Sniper.

OEM stator rewind vs Ricky Stator

DO NOT BUY RICKY STATOR! Not worth the time to re-hash that topic. (You can do a search) Buy this. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=157853 Free shipping. You can get a top quality new product for not much different than paying shipping to and from and labor/parts to get a stocker re-wound. He even has a group buy discount going for HQ members. -
Yep. LOL. Actually I think what we see in his response is that even after having leaking cracked Shearers...he still found the performance of the pipes impressive enough to double down on his pipe experience and buy another set of Shearers vs buying the Snipers. Is that blue bike what you run your Snipers on? I can't see around all those stock parts to see just what your running as far as a motor.
-
So....Shearers FTW!!! ALL the wins...Literally. LOL I don't understand why every one of you aren't running the Sniper In-frames. I mean we all heard about how much more power they claimed to make vs. "Any other pipe on the market"......... Maybe Gary could explain why his pipes have ZERO following from any top name builders or racers after all this time.........
-
Gary, maybe you could "Show and Tell" everyone just what YOU have been talking about all this time. You must have A.D.D because you stir this up every couple of months and forget that it ends the same each time. Throw your leg over something and prove your claims or........STFU!

379? Is that because you bored 30 over? Gearing ot not....your not beating that Honda with your combo.

Nickisgod ran raptor 660 pegs and 660 ims metal heal guards with ?suzuki 450? Nerfs. The 660 pegs just need one hole ovaled out to fit. -
Buying a new banshee got some Q's
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to villani77's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Everything looks better when it's wet. Once that thing dries, I bet it's all scratched and frosty looking. Stock carbs for sure. And I know $3000 is great in some peoples areas...but I could get a lot more for that price. -
anyone tried these out?

Those XFR nerfs are some of the best looking nerfs you will ever find for a Banshee........Unfortunately, they don't have enough room for your foot when kickstarting your machine. So you have to use the very back of your heal. When I say the back of your heal.....I'm not talking about the area at the back of your arch and the front of the heal of your boot. I'm talking about the very edge of the back of your boot! Very finicky and the main reason I don't own a set personally. (And yes the pegs are aluminum so they wear down.) -
Yes that is a nicer swingarm. It is chromoly and strong. I will say however, that anyone who is planning on doing any serious jumping should really have a swingarm that has the rear carrier gusseted pretty well. That arm would be what I would call a good dune arm. If your ride style is more MX....I'd want more than pipes butt welded to the carrier. But I would take that over a mild steel square tube arm any day. At the price your getting it at.....you can't pass it up. (But you could re-sell or trade it with someone for a MX style if you need to.)
-
Guy gets a WaterJet and finds basic shapes to sell that he can make money off of. DUMB DESIGN! Cheaper and easier to just flip the offset on your factory wheels if your looking for a little extra width.
-
I think that one was made by "Tucker"
-
That is not the classic Ebay Swingarm. My buddy has that same model your showing in a +8 and it's chromoly and nice. The Swingarm Shop is the Ebay arm guy. Those are mild steel square tube arms. Most have stock carrier designs, but he also sells some round carrier models as well.

PJ's are very finicky and more difficult to tune/jet compared to the PWK's.

Pressure wave heading towards O-ring, heat forced to piston edges, blow by forces on rings.....it's just a long list if bad..... -
Installing new reeds need some help...

Hit it with your purse. -
I think the implication here is that the motor needs higher octane fuel to fight detonation. Detonation will cause a lot more heat than a properly running motor will. So he either needs to re-jet, back out timing, or increase octane.
-
The stocker lasts right up until you spend so much money on your motor that you can't afford the aftermarket cooling system parts. So you slap the bike together with all the stock junk and tell yourself it will be fine. So 1/2 way thru the first ride or the first season, your splitting cases and back on here asking the questions for the second time about just what parts to get and what brand names since you forgot everything you read right after you said "Fuck It" and ran the stock stuff. You know what they all say....."I'll change it on the NEXT rebuild." Problem is, with that mentality that next rebuild might be tomorrow.

WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to registered user's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Trinity ships out lots of motor kits with converging squish angles. That's why they blow O-rings out of the motor like you fed it warm week old egg salad. It's just bad MmmKay -
In the market for headlights!

Matt is working on brining a new style to market. (Even better than the previous style.) -
wider then it should be?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Scrubtherubber's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah they call those ill handling machines 3 wheelers. LMAO -
Well you still have time. Call Mull and order the gear. Then you never have to re-do any of it.

wider then it should be?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Scrubtherubber's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My wife's bike will go 52" wide in back but I only do that for the dunes. When I hit the woods of The Badlands, I narrow it to 47". If your wider than 50" your no longer an ATV. ( don't ask me what it's called then....I'm just sharing federal paramters
