  1. I got a spare set in the truck for you. 1 is powder coated oragne the other is stock but they should work to get you through the weekend so load that stuff up and bring everybody. If someone has a nicer set to sell feel free to bring it.
  2. Price was $5000 firm Then "Dropped" to $6000 OBO Then "Dropped" to $5000 Firm again?
  3. LMAO......last night the forcast for Saturday was thunderstorms. Check again this morning.......cloudy with a passing afternoon shower. WTF? They have no clue. LOL. I'm ready for the worst, but hoping for the best. If it works out like last year it will be perfect. The forcast will have scared off everyone else and we'll have the place to ourselves with good weather.
  4. Long gone bro. Trinity = = That is all.
  5. The issue is putting Honda on Yamaha. (That requires some very thin additional spacers that were easily made by stacking thin washers I found at Ace Hardware.) But if your going to put Yamaha hubs on a Honda......No problem. SCORE! If you can buy your way out of a problem....then you don't have a problem. If you have friends handing you parts you need and a wallet isn't even involved........then your in the right place at the right time with the right friends. 5 1/2 hours from problem to solution. Not a bad day.
  6. Only company in the world that would design a part like that to solve an internal engine issue. That and the classic "Piano wire" for an O-ring when they start building stuff with 220+ compression and misguided dome shapes. (That was old school problem solving.) Yes they market a plug lock. Eliminate one weak link and find the next. New top end anyone? LOL
  7. I'm 3 hours 20 minutes of driving. (I'm coming from 50 miles straight west of Chicago.) Yes it was. And there were many who backed out due to the forecast. They missed out. My machine is topped off on fuel, test fired, fully polished and prepped......to go get caked in mud. LOL I don't want to jinx myself but......My machine is ready, all my gear and tools are set aside, all I gotta do is load a truck/trailer and I'm set. Total shocker cause it's only THURSDAY! Now watch....I'll go driving off without my helmet or flags. I'm so amped for this ride, it's hard to stay focused on work.
  8. I had a Honda 400EX and we needed to make Banshee wheels fit on the rear. (I didn't want to buy Honda wheels for paddles.) I just put Banshee hubs on the Honda axle. (The splines are all the same.) So in your case, I would just get some stock Honda hubs (4/110) and swap them for your Banshee ones. Can't cost much at all on Ebay. I think hubs are like $12.....
  9. Yep. We'll have a canopy set up for breaks in the action and to escape any rain. But I'll just throw a windbreaker on to shed the water and I'll be riding. We have plans to be there right at opening.
  10. Burns kinda dirty. If works well enough like most other synthetics, but after some dyno testing and seeing how dirty it burns I switched to Torco. I'd pick a different brand to run. Klotz, Redline, Torco, Maxim etc....... Mix per the instruction of the oil you pick. I'm at 40:1
  11. If your running 390's and still lean..........you have an air leak.
  12. Didn't you say Griggs was coming? I'm still waiting to hear from HazzardBanshee (Wes) on if he's coming. There were 2 guys kicking tires about coming and I think 2 guys just trolling the post. Everyone else has said they are all in. 15+ people it looks like.....
  13. In thoery...you can lift one foot off the ground, reach down at your side, grab that foot and hold it up. Following that theory, if you simply do that same thing with the other side of your body.....you'll be floating in thin air. That's the thing about a theory....it can sound great untill testing begins. Now as long as we're smoking pot and dreaming up wacky ideas....why not dream one of those cylinders was a Raptor 700 cylinder?
  14. Sure is nice to see all those shiny new parts and not see a beat up 10-20 year old factory stator slapped into that mix.
  15. Yep. But they can't get a forecast for a Friday right, even when they give it on Thursday night. LOL There is a greater chance of No rain than there is For rain. It's going to be muddy either way. So if the sky desides to water down the place to keep the dust down, I'm fine with that. Forecast will change 3-4 more times. Unless they say downpoor.....I'm still all in.
  16. The vito's pistons represent a simulation of a raised exhaust port. A serval has an exhaust port timing that is lower than a cub. But putting those vito's pistons in would give you a massive high exhaust port timing. Your head was working on an interesting idea though.
  17. The day of our trip has extended hours! 9:00AM till 9:00 PM
  18. One of the bikes that is going is a bare frame that is getting painted this weekend! The whole bike is a big Pile-O-Banshee right now. You have a full week. Make it happen....come join the fun.
  19. My behind the scenes info had me knowing the history of the pipes that were offered to Tyler before they were even in his hands. I had seen dyno curves of the testing on those pipes before there was a single dyno curve of Snipers anywhere on the internet. (Not word of mouth....forwarded dyno curves.) Ok.....for EVERY PERSON who wants to tell me, that I can't say shit......or my opinion has no value because I have set no records.........let this little FACT soak in.....NEITHER HAS GARY!!!!!!!!!! What track records does he have? Dave, we had a nice long chat and the few incorrect pieces of info your referencing were related to what/who's bike your motor was in at that planet sand race. (It was really irrelevant to the topic we were discussing.) Your calling me a hypocrite because you think all my knowledge is based off of "pieces of paper and what I read...not lights and timers"???? News Flash: Gary has ZERO track testing in the development of the Sniper pipe. He holds ZERO records. Nobody had a clue who he was till he introduced a pipe. He "TELLS" people about why his pipe is superior to other brands and despite all you people who bash the use of dyno's....he posts video of one bike on a dyno as proof that his stuff works. When given a chance to prove his pipes against the top pipe builder in the sport....he fails to make the show and makes ZERO EFFORT to reschedule the race for another day. (So before you go telling me to prove myself on the track......ask the same of this Wanna-Be pipe builder.) Your right. Nobody ever got a trophy for keeping it pinned in the dunes. (But then again.....some of us don't seek a trophy to validate our knowledge.) Dave, I have all the dune dates I'm going on listed in the rides/events section. Feel free to join me any time you would like to do some riding. I built my bike to do what I want to do. (Ride the dunes, hang with friends, make hundreds of passes till I'm bored with that, then go turn laps in the dunes.) Sorry, not interested in spending a weekend making a dozen or so passes so I can get a timeslip and a trophy. (That you had to pay to get the chance to win in the first place.) I'm a HUGE fan of drag racing and respect all that it takes to be competitive at it. But with a wife and 3 kids and my own business.......my weekends are worth a lot more than 12 passes. I have seen NOTHING BUT DEFENSIVE comments from Gary. Why?....because he has ZERO impressive info to forward to us. His pipes are doing NOTHING out there in the industry. (EDIT: Gary has had good things to say......He did say that RDZ pipes won some races and set some records at one time.) And Dave, Pick a belief! You say the dunes prove nothing....then you also say Gary should build something and go race Mat in the dunes. Mat still holds a Planet sand record. Gary holds.............. His breath?
  20. I'm going. Bringing a few friends. ( 3-4 of us total ) Lowered Red 96 Chevy pick-up with 20" IROC rims with red open trailer. Truck plates say DEVLSH. Hard to pick a spot because you never know where they will have you parking. Last couple of times only the upper lot was open. I'll be efforting to get there right at opening time. Chime in so we can have a rough headcount.
  21. Lake levels will be coming up this spring...but it says that it's still 15" below last year. So maybe it will drain down. http://www.hollandsentinel.com/news/x1031162352/Record-rainfall-means-sudden-rise-in-Lake-Michigan-levels
  22. X2 ^^ More than just one set......lots of fingerprints on the ones that are making their way around behind the scenes. (In-Frames and OOF) After the results come in, it's Hot Potato again. Those few sets have seen more cross country action than a strip club dollar bill. That sound is easy to get....pack your pipes with steel wool/pot scrubbers. (If "Loud" is what people are looking for.)
  23. LOL....He's a big boob that all the boys like? Funny....But I'm waiting for his Avatar pic. LOL
  24. I didn't see you had a 4mill stroke. Missed that. The R weighs like 40-45 less. He's on alky so he's making way more than you on pump gas. He may not have the swingarm.....but with an override once he's going, he's going to run you down. You can do plenty of things that would get you the win. But as you laid it out.....I'd put my cash on the Honda.
