  1. Ok April 9th. Finaly we're slinging some dates around. April 9th is going to either have frost in the ground or rain. My birthday's the 3rd and it's NEVER nice on my birthday. But I'm down with whatever you guys want most.
  2. Is it sitting in the dark? Picture picture on no biddy biddy.
  3. OK, your navigator.......but I'm in charge of the radio.
  4. What's the point of a completely stock banshee? If I'm looking for a Banshee, I want one with the most good aftermarket parts I can get. Who would ever pay top dollar for one that is still in the box? Once you ride it one time, it's the same as everybody else's machine....except now it's used and slow. A bone stock un-ridden banshee is about as usefull as a 17 year old virgin. It may be nice to look at and think about....but I wouldn't pay money to just have it to look at. Once you throw a leg over either and ride it....the novelty will wear off quick. Now you have a used toy (girl or machine) and all you want is more performance and an ever improving ride. He's got a bone stock machine sitting in a box. I'll give him $2,200, same as any other lame ass super clean stock bike in the paper. Guy most likely kept it in the crate because he didn't understand the directions on how to mix his fuel. If he parts it, I'll buy the frame with the title for $200, the kick starter for $25, and the cases for $150, fuel tank for $25.....and the brake calipers w/spindles for $50 each. That's about the only YAMAHA stuff left on my bike.
  5. Have you ever had trouble tracking an electrical gremlin? How would you like to be this guy? http://www.detnews.com/section/videonetwork?bctid=587223006001#/Woodward+Dream+Cruise%3A++Steaurus+2000/587223006001
  6. pics? Rear set up for stock length arm? What about fronts? Stock or +2. Where did you get these?
  7. If you have access to a trucking company....we sould be talking GLAMIS! Ship the bikes by truck, then we get on a plane and fly out. Otherwise, we pile all the bikes in a truck and head it for Little Saharha, then pile 12 guys in my van and chase down the truck.
  8. OH SNAP! Damn, that was funny. I think I heard a shot!
  9. The Trinity In-Frames route the lousey performance through the frame. The Out of Frames let the crappy performance drizzle out along side of you. If your going to run an Out of Frame pipe....Go with a real pipe. CPI or SHEARER. I've had all three brands, so I'm not just talking out my A$$. See the product reviews for an update on Trinity quality.
  10. I've got a ModQuad head on the wife's 370 long rod motor.....It came with the motor. I wouldn't recommend buying one. I don't like ModQuads quality. They mostly copy other company's designs and the quality is always sub-par.

  12. Sorry for the Blonde moment. Just saw that the St'Joe trip is figured for that same weekend. OK, let's try this agin......Saturday May 7th (the weekend before the St. Joe trip) or Saturday June 4th (the weekend after Memorial Day) If your bikes not back together by June 4th....WTF?
  13. I posted the dune dates for SL.....Let me know if there is a weekend in between those dates that works for you for a Bull Gap trip. Your the Host. Try to figure a date and I'll see what I can do to make it to the party.
  14. If you think the July date works for the HQ trip, then great. Let's make it a plan. I'd love to do a track rental that Friday! I want to see all of Bull Gap, not just the hill. (I've seen the videos on youtube and the trails look like they might be fun.) I just wasn't sure if I should be on my bike or the wife's bike for that place. Do I go with the +4 frame, +10 arm HP bike with paddles....or the 370 long rod, +6 arm bike with paddles....or run knobbies on the 370 bike?
  15. 2 pages and no suggestions for a date yet.....So I'm throwing down with a date. Saturday May 14th 2011. There....let the debate begin. Wear your best knobbies and you'll need a flag. They open at 9am and close promptly at 5pm Indiana time.
  16. JOHN FORCE makes the most horsepower.
  17. Well as usual, we set are dune dates real early. (They do change if enough people end up with issues.) We only hit the WMSD track for the "Test and Tune" sessions on Friday nights on the weekends that they are open and we're up there. I know in the past we've had a blast meeting up with the whole MI crew, so I thought I'd post the weekends that we plan to be up there, so if anyone was trying to plan a "Non-Holiday" weekend...you could maybe plan to join our crew. May - 3rd weekend - 20-21-22 (We'll be staying at the Sierra Sands Hotel) June - 2nd weekend - 10-11-12 (Camping at the Silverlake Resort and Campground) July - 3rd weekend - 15-16-17 (Camping at Silverlake Resort and Campground) August - 3rd weekend - 19-20-21 (Camping at Silverlake Resort and Campground) September - 4th weekend - 23-24-25 (Staying at the Sierra Sands Hotel) I'm also looking for any MI riders who want to team up for a trip to "Bull Gap" I've never been there and would like to find a friend to give me the tour. (I'm thinking late April or any weekend in between our planned SL trips.) For anyone interested in heading southwest....I'd also like to find a ride buddy for a trip to St.Joe. If you've never been to SilverLake before and want someone to help make your trip go smooth, Your more than welcome to join our group on any date that works for you and we'll walk you through the whole routine. PM me with your thoughts.... Anyone have any thoughts about our dates feel free to chime in. (Damian, I'm hoping you'll find time to break free for a few of these trips with your crew...)
  18. Thought I'd throw this link in here to help people figure this mess out. http://4wheeldrive.about.com/od/allthingsatv/a/atvstatelaws.htm Be carefull as you go state to state. In Michigan it's illegal to HAVE an atv without a title. (Trust me, even if your from out of state you don't want to risk loosing your machine at public police auction.)
  19. Agreed. That's part of why I just recommended going with the nology if your trying to amp up the spark. Because just changing the wire won't give him a seat of the pants difference. For most, a good working, good condition stock ignition with nothing more than an advance timing plate should be more than adequate, unless your making ALOT of HP or trying to light ALOT of alky.
  20. Yes I've owned one. Some like them. But they are known for breaking up at the high RPM's sometimes. (I have one on the wife's duner so I can dial it back for her and up for me.)Yes you can do custom curves. (I even have the cables and can adjust it with the laptop) But Tim at Titan racing has set many national records at the planet sand races with nothing more than the stock CDI, Stator, Flywheel and a Nology coil with hot wires. So since I deal with him and drink his HP Kool-Aid. I went with what works for him. But I can tell you this.....The CDI doesn't BOOST spark cheif. It only TELLS the coil when to fire. So that's why I said "Um....No."
  21. My odometer is rolling to 41 this april and I think I'm finaly getting this all figured out. Duning a +4 frame with a +10 arm and flirting with the 100HP club, and now I'm doubling down and going bigger for this year. Note: Time to add some more life insurance and buy a Leatt neck brace. Only 7 votes in my age group? What am I, the old guy at the club?
  22. It'll work for now, but keep an eye on those side plates because they are going to crack from side load stress sooner or later. Watch for paint to flake and when it does, be ready with your plan B. Nice art work on that top piece.
  23. Yes. Advancing the timing has the effect of leaning the mixture. You may be rich enough as you are, but nobody on a website will know. You have to check your plugs and determine that for yourself. But in a nutshell, EVERY change requires a check of your jetting. It's best to learn that first, before moving on to doing any mods. Plug chops = Knowing Riding and hoping for the best = Burn Downs
  24. And from what SLC charges... you could get a custom one (also chromoly) built to your design from Stellar.
