  1. I've got a 472 P.V. cheetah now, and I want to drop it like it's hot. Twisters don't make the power per CC that the cubs or DM's make. I'm looking for 110+Hp with loads of torque. Bump for a refresher. Any DM fans out there?

  4. I can't be the only guy who wants a DM on gas..... Anybody got some feedback on this question? It could be a suspended drag chassis, as long as your running it on the dunes and at least hot lapping it once and a while.....

  6. LOL. Yeah, though I think the guys in my ride group would still say it stands for Dominant Male. I won't hold a candle to the suspended drag crowd though. Our areas full of guys like Damain who are rocking 10+mil cubs on alky and they are just insane fast. But I like your thinking....anybody asks what I'm running, I'll just tell them a 4mill dune motor.
  7. Ok, that gauge idea isn't all that hillrod. I had one mounted very cleanly in my left fender facing me at one time and it worked great for years. I also have a friend with one mounted like yours and it's a liquid filled auto gauge. But look close.....is that LAMP CORD? Yeah, he's got lamp cord for the wire feed to the gauge. Also with as clean as that bike is, I can't believe those ratty looking bass-ackwards A-arms were on that nice ride. You got a great deal. A-arms are esy to find and you might just pay for new ones with the sale of that lamp....I mean gauge. The real tragety is...Who cut those front plastics like that?

I've lost 30 pounds since you last saw me. "Game On" So I'm breaking new ground with thinking about going with a DM as far as the whole MI scene goes huh? Something has me wondering if I won't end up with the same ache in my wallet that this stupid Cheetah motor has brought me. You ready to do some more polishing? You know your my guy.
  9. Wow, that's a nice item. I'm going to get one of those. My front vent is plugged, but not with a nice piece like that. I've just got a screw plugged in the end of the hose under the cover. (You don't need that vent, just the rear case vent) Buy it and do the mod! One less stupid hose to deal with.
  10. Damian, you know they are only 14 paddle extremes And you know I dune it! Just looking to dump this damn Cheeteh motor, so I'm doing some research.(Your not worried are you?) I'm looking to hear from someone who has done it. Yes I'll be running in-frames, aluminum radiator and billet impeller with engine ice.
  11. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who is running a DM cylinder on gas in a dune bike. (This will be a 4mil) I know most guys with DM's are running alky, so I just want to check to see if the DM cylinders water jackets can keep up with cooling the DM in a dunner application on 110 race fuel. (approx 110-120 HP) Any first hand info?
  12. Well, I'll say that almost every banshee in our ride group had the tail bent like that to some extent. It might not seam like a big deal...untill a part doesn't fit right. Like an FMF exhaust. They use 2 bolts to mount the silencers, and if the tail is bent, that triangle of bolts and head pipe doesn't line up anymore. You'll also find that plastics, seat latches, and grab bars all count on that tail angle being correct for them to fit right. That may not be your last time going over backwards.....but if it bends 1.5" every time....sooner or later your going to trash an exhaust. We bend them back with a electrical conduit bender before we do a makeover on a bike and send it to powder coat. Otherwise a long pipe or 2X4 will work if the motors still in the frame.
  13. Yeah, I went to ACE and got the stainless allen screws for all my carbs. They don't round over like the phillips heads do. Also alot easyer to put them on the allen wrench and then insert them. Trying to get them to stick to the phillips head tip.....even with it magnitized was always touch and go, and my hands are too big to fit in some of the tight spaces. Stainless allens all the way!
  14. Why? Seems like the YFZ racers convert to the 400EX stuff. I know the 450 parts work better than the Banshee brakes......but what's the BEST option for the banshee?

On a website with thousands of members, your going to have to face the fact that your bike isn't the $hit in everyone's opinion. Nothing wrong with green and black....I've seen TONS of bikes done like that. Most look nicer than yours. If YOUR happy with it...Fine. I have Yamaha stickers on my Chevy, but I wouldn't run Ford stickers on it! I get it...You love Kawi. Now embrace that Kawi has never made an ATV that was worth talking about. So Kawi stickers on a Banshee makes about as much sense as calling your "New" girlfriend by your "Old" girlfriend's name. That's assuming your into girls because that Kawi color and sticker idea is SO GAY!
  16. TRINITY PARTS CARRY A LETHAL FORM OF 2-STROKE V.D. IF YOU CATCH IT EARLY ENOUGH IT CAN BE TREATED, BUT YOU NEED TO FIND THE BEST TREATMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE. YOU WILL NEED TO SEE A SPECIALIST, AND IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU ALOT MORE THAN IF YOU HAD NEVER HEARD OF TRINITY IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO NOT HAVE ANY TRINITY PARTS ON YOUR BIKE....BE SURE NOT TO LET YOUR MACHINE HAVE EVEN CASUAL CANTACT WITH ANY BIKES THAT DO HAVE TRINITY PARTS. (I WOULD RECOMEND A SEPERATE TRAILER AT ALL TIMES) THESE BIKES AND THEIR OWNERS ARE EASY TO FIND. MUCH LIKE FEMALES WITH THE HUMAN FORM OF V.D.... THEY CAN BE SINGLED OUT DUE TO THEIR DESIRE TO DECORATE THEMSELVES WILDLY WITH FLASHY COLORS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...A BOATLOAD OF STUPID TRINITY STICKERS ALL OVER THE TANK COVERS, PIPES, SWINGARM, AND EVEN THEIR CHESTS. NOTE THAT NATURE HAS GIVEN THEM THESE BOLD MARKINGS TO PROTECT YOU FROM AN UNWANTED ENCOUNTER. (SUCH AS YOU WOULD WITH A SKUNK) Now as for your free cylinders.....I guess it's better than paying to get junk.
  17. WOW, turns out that one was a good question. So I can get the serval cub top end and and use my long rod, stock stroke crank and it will work just fine with a blaster piston. (Sounds like it'll make for some cheap re-builds.) That will still be a 68 bore then right, just in the blaster design? I'm guessing I'd still want a custom cut dome for that motor. I'm hoping the long rod will add even more torque to the set-up. Have we come to a conclusion as to what the best pipe will be for this combo?
  18. I've got a 370 long rod motor and I'm thinking about getting a serval cub. Is there a piston combo I can use to run the long rod crank in the serval? Or will I need to go with either the stock rod crank or the 4 mill stroker? Bottom ends great in this motor, I'd hate to have to tear it down.....Even ready with the full 8-plate Hison set-up....So, anybody know if I can use the longrod with the serval?
  19. Any chance that jetting is the issue? Sometimes with the simulated porting, you can get a little lean and end up getting that leading edge a little too hot. (I know mine buddy's exhaust porting was chamfered to prevent early ring failure because we do that with all the motors.)
  20. My best friend has the vito's pistons with a 4 mill crank and stock cylinders with no porting. (The pistons are the style that has the lowered edge to simulate a slight port job) He's making 52HP on our DynoJet 188 ATV chassis dyno with a set of Pro circits, stock head and stock carbs. He also rides that thing like it's his daily driver. 82 HOURS on it since he did it this spring!!! He's running 40:1 oil and mixing VP113 and premium pump gas at a 50/50 mix. So far it's going great.
  21. I want to run it. (Tim over at Titan Racing recommends it.) That guys set enough national track records to end the "It's just made for airplanes" debate! But I live 45 miles west of Chicago, and they won't sell AV fuel to ANYONE without a tail number and a bunch of other paperwork! They act like selling the fuel to me would be like supporting terrorism. But I still wouldn't save much using it because Chicago area things like that are marked up HARD. Use that fuel pricing link and enter 60134 zip. Then look at the price mark-up if you bought fuel from Chicago's O'Hare Airport....$2.50+ more, just cause....... I tried every local airport. Even the small grass field ones out in the sticks. NOPE. Won't sell to me for risk of loosing their fuel license. Guess I'll have to stick with the VP fuel. If you guys can still get it out by you, Enjoy. Hope the fuel Nazi's don't clamp down on the sale of AV gas out by you.
  22. No, I was just joking ......You can't get mad like that at a woman....unless it's about laundry. You see I'm married....so I've bought the watch, the stove and the washing machine. Now when I'm out of underwear...I'll maybe remind her that I bought (With MY money) a nice machine that we keep in the basement to help her do the laundry. (I meen, she could be down at the river slapping my clothes on rocks and wringing them out in the cold water by hand) But I love her so I do these things for her. All I ask is that she make the trip to the basement during the commercials while she's watching Oprah and all that other mindless stuff that's on during the day. Stick a load in my fancy machine and wait for it to beep at you....come down and throw it in that other fancy machine we call a dryer till it beeps at you, then bring it up and fold it while you watch more mindless T.V. But when the system breaks down, and the trips to the basement don't get done.......... Then I guess we're going to have a little missunderstanding that night. Otherwise....

  25. Your lighting circit on your banshee is 12 volts A/C...not D/C. That might be the issue. I know some gauges can't handle the A/C current. So you might want to try running them off of a 12 volt battery. LED's don't need much so maybe you could use a small power tool battery vs. a full sized ATV battery.
