  1. Had to read the reviews......WOW.
  2. Those aren't "Paddle tires".....those look more like "Cog tires" Looks like they were made to climb a roller coaster.
  3. Not who your thinking of. And "Koba" is the newest to add to this post. Hopefully he'll let us know "What" northwest burb. (There are a lot of them.) LOL.
  4. all of us. Where you riding? You new to ATV's or just banshees?
  5. Yeah, that sound can often be your flywheel is loose. When you get the flywheel off (even if it was tight) give it a good shake. If it makes any noise....it's going bad too. Magnets are breaking up and coming loose.
  6. Foot pegs are single shear mount style. So are almost all the lonestar hill shooter and drag chassis. Or any chassis that uses heims for A-arm mounts. On this chassis, the weight load is focused on the shocks and the outer end of the A-arms. The front to back shear load on the inner A-arms mounts is lessened by the large triangulation distance between the front A-arm mount and the rear. I get more freaked out by the use of heims than that chassis design. You can worry about single shear heims at the mounting points all day....but you still have the heims at the ball joint location. You want to see a wicked chassis....do a search for Lew Jr's version of that chassis design. He calls it his Trophy Truck chassis. Baddest ass bike I've ever seen.
  7. Time to call Stellar and have Tim make you one to your own design.
  8. X2 Trinity = Raw Chicken
  9. Thought so........See, guy on the quad was fine. That's what you get for riding a motorcycle. www.YFZ250fheadquarters.Idon'tthinkso Glad your OK....but if your going to ride that two wheel dirt stick...maybe you should let the Banshee guy run point.
  10. Ok Nick, it's clear you got some good game going on if you can afford a ride like that.....so I don't want to hear any nonsense about costs of gas to go on a road trip to play in the sand this summer. LOL.
  11. How did your brother do? Is he ok? Did he wreck too?
  12. That's the one we're talking about. Can't beat that price for the added performance. Keep in mind the jetting advice is pretty basic. (That kit + open air box.) So if you have pipes and any other add ons......go rich and work your way to lean.
  13. Your motor was going to make so much more power with the Super stock pistons, that you needed a severe "Re-jet". 8 more HP will do that. Sorry to say it was user error, not piston failure. Just look in the dyno section in the post titled "Random dyno discussion" The proof is all there. Enjoy.
  14. The BASIC replacement piston from Vito's are junk. But the Super Stock pistons are made by Wiseco for Vito's and we've had great luck with them. You can even look in the dyno section in the random dyno discussion and see just how well they work. Plus they are cheaper than just buying standard Wiseco pistons for your rebuild. Everyone says ship your cylinders out and get them ported....and I agree. But if your on a budget.... They also never take into consideration the fact that you will need to pay for shipping. So your looking at $300-$350 in porting, plus shipping, plus pistons, plus bore/hone....it can add up. Under $200 for a set of pistons that can slap in and get you into the 60's HP wise.......priceless. They aren't a piston you run for a lifetime. Just until you can afford to go all in on some good porting. So far they have held up for 80+hours on a guys bike who is making 65+HP and beating on the bike so bad, that he went through 3 clutches in a single season and blew out a complete set of works shocks. So if they hold up to his abuse.....I'd say they'll last till your money tree comes back to life and you can get your porting.
  15. We had a post 12 pages long that lasted a year about everyones personal reasons why.........but now that Trinity is a sponsor, that got deleted. So just take our word for it. If you bought a part and they shipped it. THEY didn't really DO anything impressive. (Isn't that what every company could do?) It's the "Trinity" stuff your going to have issues with. Just trust me. Steer clear. Plenty of other sponsors here for you to deal with.
  16. Super stock dyno piston results are in the dyno section in the random dyno discussion post.
  17. If that is all you have done....your a long way away from needing carbs. Your stock carbs will be fine for quite a while. You should spend your money on some other mods first. Try looking in the dyno section of a post called random dyno discussion. It has a few dyno runs with different combos that work well for guys getting started in the mod game and also gives you an idea of what mods can do. Trinity = Raw Chicken.
  18. Well, when you go and cut tons of items on your CNC machines for stock.......THEN find problems with the machining .........you have to sell a lot of boo-boos to people before you can fix the problem. I just don't enjoy having being included in "Team Boo-Boo". Man it's going to take a while to get rid of all these domes, heads and cylinders. We better advertise more.
  19. OH SHIT! And he comes back swingin. Sorry, the top speed question is about the gayest question out there....maybe second to "What's the best way to get 100 HP from my trail bike?" Mostly because the punks come on claiming to hit 100+MPH and argue it to the death. So if you want to ask about top speed.....I'll tell you to buy a crotch rocket and go join that forum. But that comeback was priceless. Now, try looking on Ebay and doing a National Craigslist search to see just what your $3500 can buy you. If you still want to drop $3500 on a machine just because it's new. Go right ahead. Somebody has to help keep this economy going.
  20. Hey, Ohio....Contact "chayote86" he's got the Graydon model that works so well. Stay away from that Trinity unit. (Hell, steer clear of them entirely.)
  21. Changed your entire plan in one hour?
  22. ooops. I put a double negative in there. I ment to say that he did well, but it wasn't his arm that was the featured item. His running took the defense off guard even when they knew it might happen, but I think his leadership let his fellow players relax and trust him. The trouble is his contract is so steep, that it's hard to pay him to develop while also paying a first string guy to be there at the same time. Cap issues are a motivating factor here. I think he will do well with the Jets depending on his development. But mostly, I think he'll be a good leader even if he's the second string guy and rides the bench. He's not going to be vocal in the press and cause a quarterback controversy. He'll still have that same class.
  23. 2012 Windy City Dune Assault Squad - Silver Lake Dune Dates. Just posting our trip dates for those who want to meet up and do some riding. We've been going on these weekends for 7+ years and they always have worked out well. They are not big Holiday weekend trips. But there is always plenty of people and the riding is safer than the full blown weekends. Two of these trips are on weekends that there is a race at the dragstrip, so when we're up there on a "Race Weekend" We'll be going to the track on Friday night for some "Test & Tune" action. Any and all members are welcome to join in and be part of our group. Chime in and let me know if you might be up there. MAY - 18-19-20 (We'll be staying at the sierra Sands hotel. Off peak rate 50% off) JUNE - 22-23-24 (We'll be tent camping at the Silver Sands Resort and Campground) Race Weekend! JULY - 20-21-22 (Camping again) Race Weekend! AUGUST - 17-18-19 (Camping....this is our BIG TRIP 20+ people, plus many site members from other areas around the country. Always a good time.) SEPTEMBER - 21-22-23 (Back to the Hotel at the Sierra Sands for another off peak weekend.) Looking forward to another fun season. Hope to see some of you out in the sand. Thanks for looking. Sand Fan, JOHN
  24. I don't know if his Quarterbacking talent is on an NFL level. (You can't argue that he didn't do well last year, but his arm didn't seem to be the reason.) But I'll say this.....many will hate on his religious focus (I don't see that as an issue, I've seen player for YEARS thank God for every touchdown) but I would sure like to see more of the top players in EVERY sport conduct themselves with the level headed class that he did. His team rallied around his leadership, and you never saw him blame a single teammate for anything. When you KNOW your quarterback is going to take all the blame and not throw you under the bus for every dropped ball..... I think you can see what that does for team unity. The world thought that Tebow was a 3 rate player, but his team got stronger with him as a leader, because if he has no other skill.......he DOES know how to lead. It will be interesting to see how the team dynamic shapes up with him on the Jets. I don't know if he'll be successful as a quarterback with the Jets, but I expect he'll continue to act with the same level of class even if he rides the bench all season and is cut.
