Just wanna pick some brains on my set up. The sand devils were given to me when i bought my bike so i really didnt have much of a choice. i know the haulers are the way to go. I plan on going to silver lake this season. so, before i go id like to know how these tires are going to perform. the main reason why im asking is because im running a stock bike and i want to make sure i get teh most out of her as possible. thanks

Will any of my fellow Metro Detroit, Michiganders be attending or participating this year? This will be my first year attending. A friend of a friend will be racing with his YFZ 450. Rumor has it a banshee held it DOWNN last year. Pretty excited to see the bikes. Post pics if you got em!

I told you I've been doing my research. I'm on Duncan, FMF, Toomey, Pro Circuit, DMC's, web site all the time. Reading and reading and reading. Im looking for reviews on these pipes from people who actually run them. Show me a search engine that tells me what pipes to use with the mods i plan on doing. The Official websites for these pipes have very broad things to say about them.

Michigan guy here. Don't think I'll be making it for the opening trip. But I will definitely be making my way out there this season. Just curious about what EXACTLY dnr is checking for. I have been on there website and it says they do a sound check from "X" distance from the exhaust. Someone on here told me all they are looking for is spark arresters. Thanks for any input

Paul Turners - what silencer? FMF gold and FMF SST's - what silencer? Keeping in mind Silver Lake/State Land Friendly
-
From what I've been told at Silver Lake all their looking for is spark arresters. Let me ask you this. FMF SST's with PC2 how do they stand up against a Toomey T5's with the same mods ill be doing? Also Paul Turner High Revs. Where do those compare to a Toomey T5's And because i don't plan on porting any time soon.. would i be better off with T6's?

I'm not getting bet outta shape over pipes. I know anythings gonna kick ass compared to stockers.. and I'm not relying on my pipes to give me ALL my power. Like i said, when i go through the Bikes Frame, and Motor after this season. I'll most likely go with some Pro-Lites that will wake up my Mid and Low end. My top end, i feel, is already ridiculous. So to find a pipe that helps me out low to mid end while also giving me a little extra top end.. would be ideal. I love the way Toomeys sound, look and perform from riding my buddies bike. But he didn't have a choice with his pipes. His CAME with a set of T5's. That's where i have the chance of being a step above his shee when it comes to drag racing. I was told the Power Core II's arent state land(silver lake) friendly. Can anyone back that up?? If it is true, that Power Core II's arent silver lake friendly and i run the SST's or the Gold's, what silencers do i run? I'd hate to drop all this money on pipes then not be able to run em at the dunes, the first time i go out.

ugh.. decisions, decisions.

Snopczynski opinion on Toomeys T5 and T6's is they are junk along with DMC's. He's recommending Paul Turner High Rev's, FMF Gold's, or FMF SST's. Like i said the more i read the more i get tossed back and forth between pipes. Just looking for some more advice as to what kind of pipes i should run with the type of riding i do. and motor mods i plan on doing. Also no ones really said much about the DMC Spark Arrestor being less or more restrictive when compared to the Toomey T5's Sparky 2's. My buddy ran the "hush kit" on his toomey'd banshee, and had nothing good to say about it. Noticeable loss of power. restrictive "flow". He did have his bike tuned w/o the hush kit on... but i didnt think this would make such a big difference.. i quote the sparky 2's "NEW Sparky Spark arrestor Version 2.0. This system is the ONLY spark arrestor available that does not hurt the power of the Toomey Pipes!" That is another BIG determining factor when i buy my pipes. They have to be State Land Friendly (Silver Lake Sand Dunes). Thanks in advance. I know this questions gets pretty beat after a while.. but honestly, im doing my research and just cant seem to find whats gonna work best

What silencers do i run? Spark arrestor friendly is KEY! I do NOT want to get turned away from Silver Lake for not having sparks!

I have a bone stock bike. I don't plan on doing a lot of mods besides: Changing the Pistons, Rings and Bore as necessary most likely some Pro-Lite's. My Tors is removed. K&N air filter, w/o the lid. Maybe a +4 timing plate. And possibly down the road upgrade the Carbs a step above stock. I swear the more i read about exhaust the more complicated it gets. I'm debating between the DMC 916's or some Toomeys. I know anything is better than stock. But if you guys are saying Toomeys are junk.. I want to do it right the first time. I like the DMC 916's for there awesome reputation for sound and performance. But I'm worried the spark arrestor will be too restrictive. Compared to the spark arrestors for the Toomeys. I'm a very versatile rider. Dunes. Trail. Up and down the streets. And the often drag against my friend with the same mods i described. Except his bike came with some T5's. What would you do?

Stock "footing" set up, off an 02 Banshee. Yamaha silver nerf bars. Black plastic heal guard. In perfect condition, both rubbers and everything! $60.00 OBO

When you compare it to the Pro Design Pro-Flow kit. I'd pay the extra 50 bucks, and just do it right the first time with the UNI

Is that a type-o? "you can run pods"? From the picture and description.. "This is a replacement air box designed to increase airflow giving you more power. Because of the increase in power re-jetting is required. This Air Box is made from quality 5052 aluminum. You must use a K&N HA-4250 Air Filter (TRX250R Filter)." Looks like you can only run a single "cone style" air filter. Thanks for the input!

Just wanted to see if anyone has good or bad things to say about this AIR BOX. Does it fit well? Is there any other benefit besides looks? Thanks
