Looking for a aggressive looking and ass kicking REAR tire for my Banshee. I'm currently running Turf Tamers. They are nice for the multi-purpose. street to dirt. But its time for some new ones. I like the Hole shot style. Mean look and they definitely out perform my turf's out of the hole. hole shots and razors look almost identical.. so I'm wondering, with hole shots, are you paying for the name? or are they worth it? Open to suggestions. Also tire size? Is 20 the way to go? as a nice middle of the road?

Bump for Overboost's ratio
-
I also would like to know what ratio you're running over boost.. i had a couple gallons of the stuff i was running in my jet-ski.. but i threw it out because the bottle said it was meant for 100:1 applications
-
WHAT? you dont think these motors can run backwards?
-
@ what compression ratio would you say its safe to run race fuel?
-
If you advance it too much that bitch will run backwards! so ya you'll notice a difference! Either you'll bike will like it, or it wont. you should be able to tell right away.
-
ya, something like that. shes way underpowered too.. if i was to throw some bigger carbs and switch up the pipes.. id easily be in the mid 60's

will post videos, pictures and results later! This shit is wayyy too cool! i want a effin dyno!

i had a feeling there was a "base" timing and you advance or retard from there... thanks for clearing that up. that makes much more sense. like i said.. if i knew what i was doing obviously i wouldn't be here asking questions. i appreciate the lesson for the day fellas.

Valin, I ran the race fuel as a one time thing. i understand the concept of octane. the higher you go the less volotile the fuel becomes. I'd never run higher octane in any of my cars. mid-grade is prime depending on compression, weather and so on. but obviously that's a 4 stroke.. here, were dealing with 2-strokes. doh! obviously i dont know as much about these bad boys as i do the 4 stroke engines's.. come to find out some of the same rules apply to 4 and 2 strokes.i definitely went against my better judgment on this one.. but what the hell. lesson learned. i'll go back to 93. my main concern was the -2 timing. NO one here seems to run a (-) timing.. if same rules apply again.. i'd think a -2 timing would reduce my chances of blowing a hole in my piston.. but at the loss of "how much" performance. I dont tune. thats why someone else is doing it. i figured i could find a few wiz kids on here that could help me out. with a hell ya or a hell no. kodie, To the best of my knowlage the bike has a stock head with stock domes. the only thing missing, and i quote a friend..cause i dont quite understand what hes talking about is... "the little tabs that are commonly taken off when the head is removed". when i first heard this i assumed it was milled.. he seems to think not. ill be going there tonight and wathcing the whole tune go down first hand.. so ill be sure to update on the results.. thats for the input again fellas

i forgot to mention im running race fuel. i believe its 110 octane.. i got it right outside the silver lake sand dunes @ david and allen racing. torx or torques fuel.. i'm drawing a blank. Wanted some input on the race fuel as well.. if its safe to run or if the bike needs to be set up for it. thanks again

I like the color of my bike to be the same as my women. ALL BLACK

Mods include.. Toomey t6's, Pod filters, Adjustable timing plate. I live in Michigan, and i believe our evalation is between 900-1200. It's not finished YET. But since the last time i talked to the tuner, he told me i was at 45 HP with -2 timing and a 300 or 310 main, 30 pilot. He has a air fuel meter that measures how rich or lean i am at idle, or WOT to get my jetting perfect. I'm pretty excited but at the same time.. hopefully all goes smooth. Just wondering if this is above or below average as far as HP and potential reliability goes. Also seems to be pretty obvious that everyone is running +4 timing. But are those of you that are running +4 taking your bike to the dyno? I'll be going over there tonight to watch him finish it up.. will post final results and try to get some videos as well.. Thanks for the input

NEW MODS Need to know where to start with jetting..
flyRTby replied to flyRTby's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I understand i may need to start richer.. but wont the bike still turn over at least attempt to idle?? heres what happened. it took a while to kick over, finally after snapping the throttle she fired up.. shee stayed idling for a while.. sounded great! so i shut it down just to be sure i wouldn't hurt anything in case the jetting was off. and It was late so i couldn't do a plug chop. So being excited about my new sick sounding banshee, i wanted to fire it back up to take a video.. lol.. so then the same thing happened. had to kick it a few times.. snap the throttle it would turn over for a Milli-second but then shut off right away... tell me if im wrong but even if i was a little on the lean or rich side of things wouldn't the bike still run? and my pilot screws.. even though i didn't adjust them.. wouldn't the bike still fire up? i guess im explaining all this cause maybe there's a known problem.. for example.. clogged pilot, wayy too lean, or wayy too rich. Thanks again. -
NEW MODS Need to know where to start with jetting..
flyRTby replied to flyRTby's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
thanks all. Savage, i agree that one should by stickied.. So i started with a 300 main and a 27.5 pilot needle in the stock position and the screw was in the stock position as well.. i had to snap the throttle to get her to turn over.. is this because i didn't adjust the screw?! didn't think about that till later will be back at it tonight and ill at least check where that screw is.. -

NEW MODS Need to know where to start with jetting..
flyRTby replied to flyRTby's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
thanks again. you're right about starting rich and working down. but whats with the pilot?? the one local that does dyno tuning says to run 30's all day due to the fact i have pods. then vitos tells me to run a 30-35 and if i go duning to MAYBE jump the piliot up a notch all the way to a 40... he said its not mandatory to bump the pilot but i should most definitely jump up on my main. vitos seems to think ill be around a 290 and if i go duning to bump to a 310 or 320. i think ill just buy a set of jets. and try my luck. like the forum says with jetting its always good to be a little rich. and as far as the needle clip? still #2 or keep it at 3? -

Just turned my bike from stock into (hopefully) a monster! I'm starting with a stock carb, mains, pilots, needle etc.. Recently Installed: -Toomey T6's -Pod Filters -Advanced timing plate +4 I live in Michigan.. not sure where we are compared to sea-level.. I was hoping to find a fellow Michigan HQ-er that has similar mods. All help appreciated.
