  1. There was a thread on here a while back Titled "best mod". Where did it go?? I always try to do a search for whatever my question is before i post. But today, for some reason I'm not having much luck searching anything. From "CDI's" to "Advance timing plates" "t5's vs t6's" and so on. So i apologize up front for pissing those of you off that have to read the same damn post everyday! :yelrotflmao: I Tried! If you could build the best most reliable BANSH what would your mods be. Get specific!
  2. Alright.. If my jetting is perfect right now with my current mods. Is is possible I'd still have to change jetting? Also is shaving my head a MUST if advancing my timing. Keeping in mind I'd like to keep my bike a reliable as possible.
  3. Thanks everyone for the quick and too legit information! I ride dirt and sand always avoiding big puddles. Are pods still my best bet or will the power lid work just fine? Just have a few questions about the Advance Timing Plate. What are the Pro's and Con's of advancing my timing?? If I'm not mistaken advancing the timing will cause spark/detonation to occur before TDC. That being said, do i run the risk of burning up my piston Pre-maturely? Also, what do i advance it to? +2 +4 etc? Thanks again in advance!
  4. Tors Removed, Pro Flo K&N w/lid, Toomey T5's, Dirt Digger Clutch.. thats about it. i was thinking about putting a K&N Power Lid on... ??
  5. Really? No one runs them on here, eh? I'll be heading to Silver Lake this July. I'm looking for something to give me a slight ADVANTAGE Vs. my budd and his Sheee. I was hoping that a CDI would be a little sneaky trick. Bummerr Sweet Challenger
  6. Looking at getting an Aftermarket CDI Box for my banshee. I stumbled upon this "AMS CDI Stage 3" and "AMS CDI Stage 2" on Ebay. AMS CDI BANSHEE. When i talked to the guys at Magic Racing they basically told me the same company makes all CDI's they just put a different name on them. So if i buy the 500 dollar CDI ill get the same results if i go with the 100Dollar box. Just wanted to get a feel for what you guys are running and if there really is a difference in boxes. If its worth the 100-500 bucks, Noticeable difference etc. SRP, AMS, Vitos and Trinity. Thanks
  7. very helpful information!! just ran into a little squeeze though.. im not getting any clutch pull.. i can squeeze my clutch lever on the handle bars... until it points to the arrow on the top of the case but then nothing.. no "clutch pull" if that makes any sense.. its like i can remove the slack but nothing else.. dosent feel right. all advice appreciated! thanks again!

  9. thanks! i installed 3 of each.. now all i have to do is torque em down. the only question i have left is do i need to make any adjustments before i put it back together? thanks again!

  18. Trinity Stage IV Exhaust system VS Toomey T5's... Whats everyones opinion? im looking for a pipe thats good all around from dirt to sand.
  19. the only issuse im having is the idle i didnt mess around too much. i just watned to make sure shee ran. the carbs are in sync with eachother. i guess my question should of been can i adjust the idle by my throttle cables. i hear the screw dosent really do a whole lot
  20. any tips on tuning? is it true that most of the adjustment is in the throttle cable not the new air screws?
  21. someone mentioned filling the hole by my throttle with some rtv. how do you guys reccomend i get rid of those other connections? just cut em and tape em or whatw
  22. very helpful guys, thanks! ill finish her up tomorrow and see how everything goes. but really, very good pointers from all of you. how the hell did you fit a dremel inside the carb? i was planning on using a blade, lightly sand followed by scotch brite. thanks, duce
  23. I have a couple questions about installing the T.O.R.S. removal kit. First off, what electrical connections can i get rid of? obviously the carb tops, and the emergency brake but what else? Can i get rid of the connection on my front brake? Also I've read in previous post: " The box to the left of the ignition coil can be removed". Last thing, when drilling threw one of the carbs i nicked the opposite side wall. Did i just completely "F" myself or can i sand it down softly? It's not horrible but i can see and feel it. Thanks for the help.
