  1. I could not get on HQ about a week ago so I joined PS Im not quite use to it yet, but seems kinda boring never spent more than 15 minutes at one time on there. There seems to be a lot of arguing going on over there and a lot of it didnt make since, that was in the utv section talking about the kaw terex or what ever and the polaris and of course the outdone rhino which I own and its no slouch, had a hard time staying out of that one, being a newbie and all.
  2. Iv got the oko knock offs of keihin 28s bored to 30s very nice carbs very easy to tune, never had mikunies other than stock, so I dont know but Im sure there just as good. My pods would not fit my 28s though, and didnt want to try and make fit.
  3. If stock style carrier: price? and trail tech lights. thanks again!
  4. pm me a price on noss head and domes. thanks!
  5. Been a while, did you lose interest in your new toy/ banshee go down? lol
  6. Probably pretty close may need a little bigger, better wait for more input.
  7. Hear nothing but good about them.
  8. You PCd the frame, took the tors off so you had to drill for idle screws and re sync carbs, did everything go well with changeover? Its probably one of the two things: make sure you have good grounding or carbs arent sync, maybe shavings / pilots clogged. Im pretty sure I did not tie any wires together either. Good Luck!
  9. Just by hearsay t5s for engine builds, I have them with no engine work currently other than bolt on mods, runs strong bottom to top. Had t6s on my stock 03 ran awsome for just being jetted and boysen reeds. T5s over T6s like Colby said youll more than likely upgrade.
  10. I went with the oko keihin knock offs exact same carb 28s bored out 30mm great carbs great price carb parts warehouse, ebay or 1'216'635-1099
  11. Thanks for the fine work on the swingarm I recieved, Good Luck!
  12. Also if you have an aftermarket lever depending on what brand / type will also cause this to happen. I put my stock lever on a different perch and it works great, before I could have bike in gear clutch pulled and rev it up and the bike would move alittle. I dont really understand why, but Iv never had much luck with aftermarket levers unless high dollar.
  13. Iv seen them pcd but I dont know how they got them apart, I didnt think they would come apart without damage.
  14. You just stated that it did not have the stock perch, if you have ebrake you do have the stock perch without cable. you need to disconnect the wire from the perch and see if that will do the trick.
  15. I think your right!
  16. Tried my buddies, took it out circled the camp site a couple times and said forget this shit!
  17. Thats a Bummer, wanted to see some comparison between these two bikes, well Im sure someone will figure it out. Good luck with that!
  18. Shoulda kicked o green teeth right in the knee! We went riding at Hatfields&McCoys in West Virgina seen some wild shit on the way there.
  19. When I had my 03 I had T6s on it with the 280 mains stock pilots & after market needles/ toomey perfect jet kit, with K&N filter with modded lid 1" holes drilled with filter plugs. the jetting was pretty good for mine should be close for yours. /While you have your carbs off clean them real good, all jets make sure you blow them out, especially the pilots those things clog easy and be careful with the floats handle them with care; dont bend, dont drop, ect and if you figure it out check the float adjustment. air mixture screw start with 1 1/2 out from very lightly seated; screw in untill bottoms out/then back out 1 1/2 turns, that should get you a good start.
  20. I didnt realize your bike was not running yet, you may be ok Id get everything adjusted according to your clymers manual, probably how you had it to start with and put the cover back on and wait for your pipes/ fire that thing up, then you can go from there, you may be surprised. Do you know what your carbs are jetted at and are you runnin air box or pods?
  21. Have you adjusted the clutch cable as far as it will go, meaning no slack in the lever; adjust the threaded adjuster out of the lever perch as far as you can without it coming out of the perch, that will snug the cable see if this does anything for it.
  22. Sounds good, Im in Avon 15 miles west of Indy.
  23. OK, so if your comfortable with pulling the cover and adjusting acuator rod, I would think you would be very capable of adjusting your cable enough to get the clutch close "if it were right" I think I would pull the clutch and check it seein that you got it used, you just dont know what the other guy did untill you get into it. Thats the first thing I had to replace when I got mine, had to replace the total housing/grooved badly to where plates was sticking.
  24. sometimes when Im racing or just gettin it I miss gears, but its not from me actually missing the gear, its like the spring is not pushing the shifter back down to preload it for the next shift, does that make since? not sure I explained it accurately. Do you think those parts would benefit a 97 Banshees shifting problems?
  25. Did you just buy this Banshee, sounds like the clutch may be fried / think boonmans on the right track as to dialing in the question.
