most of the time just rippen around the dunes about 40 percent drag at the dunes so its one after another with little rest in between i do have a temp gauge so i do watch the temp .
i have a 521 cpi pipes 39pwks and run 110 race gas at 7 degrees i was wondering how far you can go and what are signs you went to far?i was thinking 9 degrees.
if you are racing someone you should start in second gear its much faster due to first gear being so short. sounds like you have a great build  . i have not made up my mind who will port my super cub yet earthier kevin or jeff from fast thanks for the feed back
if you have the $$ than it sounds like a good plan i would probably go with a cub instead  you may want a +2 or +4 swinger any longer and it will corner like a Lincoln continental or caddy also an impeller and or high volume radiator you will get hot on those long fire roads .
thats my .02
i can see here i'm getting bashed for suggesting 10 paddles. I'm speaking from experience when i called skat trak to buy mine i wanted 12 paddle they wouldn't sell them to me with a ported 380. against my better judgment i bought 10 paddles they worked good until i added more mods and now I'm looking for more tire.i don't like wasting money
any body who would put a supercharger and other mods on a daily driver (v10) is not likely to leave a banshee alone because he does not have to drive it home he will be looking for more tire in the near future.
hay badass do you have a pic of that shock? i think i might go that route. i see they have two styles on ebay one with the rezy going sideways and the other going up and down.
i would buy a banshee that already has a 4m or bigger crank in it and then add to it from there . i agree about doing it yourself but if you are just dragging you will get your chance soon enough to add to or rebuild it.
i got beat by one with my 521 by 1 and 1/2 lenghts but i had 10p haulers on it, all i did was spin tell 4th gear. i would also get reeds and a +4 timming and you should be in the ball park
i just thought of something, if this is your first banshee you may be shifting too early, its a common of new banshee owners. most of a banshees power is at the top end. a quick gear change would make it easyer to keep the rpms
i would say in this order
1. remove tors if it is still on there
2. dune port by a pro (or someone who knows what they are doing)
3.air cleaner
4. timing +4
get used to it and later get the head and new pipes
if this is your first banshee take your time because after these mods it starts getting expensive
the hottest i seen was 220 after draging sevearl times in a row with out a break. i would not shut it off when it gets hot i would drive around low rpm to get air through the radiator it cools down faster that way
