I would buy the stroker first just make sure your cylinders get ported by a pro if not you could lose a lot of power. you could lways buy a 4mil cub later then your only out the cost of the port job.
all i would say is take that $900 buy a cub and spank that unreliable piece of shit. yeah i rode my brother-in-laws 535 once its fast my 521 banshee kicks its ass all over and mine is still running at the end of the weekend. if i got hit in the head and wanted one i would put the motor in something else they aren't comfortable at all.
I am a prime example I had an idea that it would cost me around $3500 to build a 521 . It cost me almost $5000 and I ran out of money before I could do the suspension im running a +6 (multi purpose quad tell I buy a trail rig) swinger 39 pwks big bowls 10mm super cub , cpi big bore inframes rdz head .If I had it to do again I would count on money for the right paddles and good shocks. and make sure when you buy your cub is ported first otherwise you are looking at reniking it later
you could save money by goin with a +4 degree key instead of a plate. you wouldnt want to run any more than that with that setup anyway
I dont guess on power but I ran almost the same setup (but I had 380) and it was a night and day difference, vary quick
I would also get a set of aftermarket reeds (for faster throttle response) and dont forget to get your carbs rejeted and get rid of the t.o.r.s system while you are at it
thats my .02
I would like to go to bobs and try out several different types and sizes to see which ones work best for my zooter so I dont have to buy 3 or 4 sets of paddles to get the right one
thanks but Im not really looking right now. Im about a week away from going to place that has all the sand you could ever ask for and no place to ride. I should be coming back home for 2 weeks this summer I just want to be ready for that I would love to go to bobs and silver when I come home.
I have a 521 with a 6" swinger and 10p haulers. it just spinns. im thinking about getting 12 paddle . I dont want to go to a longer swinger tell I get a play quad to ride other places. my other thought was to go to a 4" and run the 10p's would that work?
I would get 10 paddle haulers. straight cut paddles are the best for going straight V's are the best at turning " carving the face"
and if you get a filter make sure you get an outter wear.
you should have no problem but I would get pipes (with sparkies) and rejet it. it would greatly add to your experience.
assuming you have paddles first
can you bore out a super cub and re nik it?
I didnt port it when I bought it I thought it would be easier to bore it then port it and renik it.
how far could you go (if you can) ?
