  1. I'd say 150 for bhq guys would be nice and reasonable... is there enough room for these on a cub? My PWM carbs are already hitting together where the pilot passage goes through...the casting sticks out about 1/2" right there. Those billet bowls look like they would be a big roblem with the space issue....feedback?
  2. they also have a baffle plate on the biggest part of the pipe with a 3/4" tube...plus they are about 10lbs heavier, so it takes a while to get those hot. Aftermarket pipes are thin like said, but are free flow so the gas moves quickly to the exit while still retaining over 800 degrees of heat. Makes for some badly burned silencer packing.
  3. wiseco makes 68mm banshee pistons... buy a cub if you want that big of a bore. i just got one...they are sweeet!!
  4. just looking for the cages really. I'll drop new reeds in them anyways
  5. pm me... if you want the filters then you can have them they are k&n...send me 320 if you want the spacers too... The outerwears have some burns, but they are still functional. NATRLBNKLR@aol.com
  6. yes, she's no leaker.... I'll get the other info when i have a few minutes to wrench on it. I think the squish is too tight. The base gasket I used was a metal core foamish rubber gasket that was supplied. It was pretty thin! I've never used one like it before. I probably should've used the paper gasket from my kit instead.
  7. just got back from my ride.....started out ok... plugs were clean on the chop so I went to 168 mains. I had a fat spot across 1/3 > 2/3 throttle so I dropped the needle to 2nd from the top. It got better but the needles are wrong. They have too fast of a cut on them. I will try the CEL needles as everyone is running them. one important thing though.... plugs are still jumping out of the head. i'm going to check the squish and see if i need more chamber volume or a thicker base gasket. tonight is 65* and about 80% humidity. I'm around 600-800 ft elev...jfyi anyone....one the detenation topic? or needle choice?
  8. hey... Got a set of shearers on my 421 cub...38PWM's, upp intakes.... good clean-up on the ports. No timing changes. stock timing plate for ignition. 165 mains EEG needles 52 pilots going out in a minute to ride and see how it feels. hey question...chariot bowls...They fit PWM carbs? peeps say they are the same bowls. Space is tight already. You guys have a problem with having enough room for bowls and stuff? I had to cock the carbs a bit to get them to fit good in there. discuss....anything about the topic, chime in!
  9. I'm looking for them.......Holla if you have some for sale. btw I'm not going to pay anything near what they are new, or I would just do that. send me a pic and your offer ~~~ NATRLBNKLR@aol.com
  10. nah bro....try reading before posting. $300 shipped...how is that?
  11. 34mm billet crossover intake....can be run without the crossover section if desired.
  12. wow this thread is a shithole filled with 12 yr old comments....really I was searching for answers and found this crap..... I just wanted to add, for someone who cares to read this that my brand spankin new banshee (in 03) did 78.5mph gps....removed the airbox lid and got a pro-flo filter kit, fixed the throttle stop, sync"d the carbs, pulled the sparkies out and rejetted..... Got me 82.1 with all stock shit....revved to the moon for 2 miles in a tuck down a long straight flat road. Full fenders btw! I currently have 16/41 and a set of 22"klaw xcr rears (which are about 24.5" at 80+mph) and I'm getting 92.4mph at the top of fifth gear...gps....I cannot pull 6th with my 2-1 dynoport pipe. This is a 421 cheetah with 34pj's and no box.
  13. Won't be any time soon....I have plans to ride the ever lovin shit out of that bike right up until it snows. When I pull it back down for some more upgrades this winter I'm going to take a shot at some carbon banshee fenders and maybe try this in the basement on the frame.
  14. I was thinking that myself.... I have a bunch of foam here. I really should ljust glass something up for the hell of it. shit....even some headliner material and a few srategically placed balloons or something could work. Good IDEA!
  15. at least 250 for materials assuming it doesn't take 5 attempts to get right.... it can be done easily when you use the righ tstuff like absorbent mat and vacuum wrapping...blah blah. It's messy too!
  16. I was told 21cc's on my engine combo will yield 150-160psi....and run pump gas fine. I may as well go back to 24cc domes. I'm not real big on compression anyways. All it does is take away from your topend rpm's
  17. Wanna do a speedboat? about the same size as the firebird on the top side....I'm interested in having someone do some stuff I've drawn over the yrs on the topside... Was going to have vinyl done, but paint is almost as cheap.
  18. i mentioned before about doing real carbon.....I've had quite a few emails about it too. if people were real interested I can do some since i already have all the expoy and shit. But that stuf ain't cheap and it's REAL hard to get the right ratio so they are flexable.I did three before I got a good raptor fender. I'm looking into fullbore plastic so I might try it on my banshee stockers. They are cut for the big tank though.
  19. I want to keep my 5.9gal but i also want to use fullbores. Has anyone done this? I know.."looks stuid" right....but I think its fine really. Function over form anyday! Anyone have pics or experience?
  20. I'll throw in the intake for another $85.... and the vf2's for 75 more. will seprate but not for these prices....but close.....PM ME!!!
  21. got pipes and 38pwm's....also got a head and domes....Thanks guys! I'm still lookin for stuff though but i won't list it at the moment
  22. got my new carbs today..... bump for $250..... ANYONE!
  23. 4mil.... yeah it doesn't kick that hard. I haven't check it but I'm guessing in the 155 area. My stock head motor was 147
  24. possible....I have a spare, but it all started with the new head. I'm sure it's just a set-up issue since....well.... daj said it well "you've taken a world-class pitbull and turned it into a chiquawa" reffering to the 2-1 pipe on the cheetah cylinder. I'm backing all that used up gas inside of the engine.momentarily raising the compression above what it should yield normally
  25. think of the way water moves around shit.....you there....ok....now forget all of that!!!!!! air has no mass almost....remember that. It has different characteristics when it is pulled and when it's pushed.....regardless it takes the shortest path out or in. Smoothing things out is what it's all about. no sharp edges or sharp turns. If you have even the slightest little change it makes a pressure wave or "eddy" that disrupts airflow and makes fuel droplets come back together. smoothing it out alfter taking the material away is where most of the gains come from. No need to make huge holes if your going to leave a sharp edge on the brows of the port windows. It will yield no gains practically i've read tons and done a bunch of it...but I only consider myself on the "I think I understand" level it the grand scheme of things....Only now do I KNOW I can get more out of an engine. 10 yrs ago I was chickenshit to think I should go grind engine casings and cylinders to make power. what did I know....
